Lyons Roofing

Went very well. Estimator was very professional, showed up on time, gave accurate quote. Told us price for any discovered rotten wood when roof was stripped--cost for this was actually lower, some sort of sale. Crew showed up on time, worked very well and carefully. Did not leave any debris behind. Used dropcloth when painting fascia over our cooldeck. Carpenter did a good job replacing fascia board and getting it to match. They took great care to smooth out roof, lay down the first layer and tack it carefully, and line up, roll down, and melt the top layer smoothly. The flashing up under the existing roof was very well done. I had removed the DirecTV dish before they came, and they helped me get it back in place with proper sealant underneath and in the holes. Have had no leaks. Very polite, very hard working crew. Cleaned up everything. A week later the crew boss and one of the company owners came and we went up and inspected the job. They went over every piece of it critically and asked me lots of questions about my satisfaction and the crew's performance. This is good follow-through. The cost was exactly their estimate plus the four sheets of plywood replaced, less the sale price on the wood. Very happy and would use them again.

After calling Lyons Roofing from Angie's List and making an appointment Jonathan came over to inspect our roof. I had requested an inspection as there was a tile that had lifted and was askew and separately what appeared as shifting in a corner tile on my second story roof. Jonathan walked our complete roof and was very helpful in explaining that our roof had multiple years left. He put the lifted tile back in place and was able to test the tiles that I thought had shifted to make sure they were secure. I was so pleased with the approach Jonathan took and he conveyed to me this was the way the company operated. I will make sure I call this company the next time I need help.

Jared Mokofisi was our estimator. He inspected the attic and viewed the roof from the backyard and front yard. He climbed onto the roof to inspect the existing condition of the concrete shingles and underlamen. He took pictures and was very thorough. He sent me the pictures along with an estimate explaining the reasoning behind his estimate and Lyon's Roofing recommendations. Since the estimate, we've decided to pursue a full scale remodel. This company's thoroughness is very encouraging, and I would consider them for work in the future.

On time, on budget, excellent clean-up at the end of each day. Very professionally done from start to finish!

Went way better than we expected - great bunch .

They removed the tiles and replaced all of the felt (2 layers) and put in new valley channels. They replaced plywood and fascia boards that were water damaged and all new flashing. Lyons also replaced the rolled roof on my patio cover. The work crews did a good job of cleaning up every day and were very friendly. They arrived when stated and notified me of any delays due to rain that pushed the scheduled start date back. Overall it was an excellent job!

They provided a professional quality service and we were happy with them from start to finish.

They did a good job. The only thing is that they replaced the wood on the side, and were not able to paint it for me. Other than that, it was very good.

Lyons Roofing estimation: The contractor that came out was very friendly and knowledgeable. He did a thorough inspection of the roof and let me know that I would need 15 replacement tiles to fix the broken/missing ones. He backed up this claim with photos of the missing and broken tiles, which was nice, since I dont like heights and had to take his word on it. As for above the garage he explained the problem and gave me 2 options. Expand the tiles out some, then glue the wall liner in place, or, completey remove the tiles and redo that portion of roof. He then spent about 20 minutes trying to match the tile to his samples so he could get the closest color possible. Completed job: The company sent out 2 individuals that were very friendly, and took about an hour and a half to complete the job. I was given a chance to examine the major part of the job, above the garage, and they made sure to fix what I brought up. I was very pleased with the way this company handles its customers, from phone calls to job completion. I would strongly recommend this company to friends and family.

They showed up when scheduled and did a very professional job.

We only got as far as the quoting process. Lyon was very professional, gave everything in writing, and was very prompt with the proposal.

We found them on Angie's List. They did an okay job. We had an issue with one of the skylights so they came out and repaired. It was a good service so we give them thumbs up.

From the quotation process through the completion of the roof, I could not be happier with the quality of service and workmanship on the roof. Although Lyons was not the least expensive quote I received, I decided to move forward on their reputation in the valley and solid reports on Angie's List (and it just wasn't worth the risk just to save $500). The workers were punctual, and Pete (crew manager, just terrific!) was always responsive to any questions/concerns that I had. The workers cleaned up after each day, and the work that they did on the roof was meticulous...they rolled the elastomeric coatings 2 feet up the parapet walls, applied stone to (help) protect the roof from potential hailstorms. What I appreciated most was the follow up after the installation at my house to review the work and explain to me how to get the best life from my roof. The roof is also warrantied for 10 years--another strong selling point. I would not hesitate to recommend or use Lyons Roofing again in the future.

Called company and the receptionist would ask me a question and before I could get the answer out she would say "please hold" and disappear for a few minutes. After going through this 5 ir 6 times I told her I wanted to work with a comapany that actually talked to me without constantly putting me on hold. Will not use this comany.

The job went very well because they told me what to expect and then did exactly what they told me. Anyone who has had roof work done in the last year knows that it is a wild time to have a roof replaced. Of all the companies that I contacted, Lyons was the most straight forward to deal with. When I first called they warned me that it would be several months before they could do the work, and that initial estimate was accurate. The estimator did a good job in explaining the whole process and all my options. He also told me that there was probably damage to some of the base roofing (the house is 80 years old) and estimated additional wood would be about $500. The actual cost was $475, so it was a very good estimate. This house is a rental, so I had to make appointments to meet with people several times. Every time the people from Lyons were on time. They also kept me up to date on what was happening during the period from when the contract was signed until the work began. The day the actual work began, they said they would be there between 6:00 and 7:00. When I got there at 6:45, they already had tarps laid out on the ground all around the house and were a quarter of the way through removing the old roofing. When the work was completed, you could only tell that they had been there because of the new roof. They did a great job in keeping the site as clean as possible throughout the job.

Lyon's did a great job and in the hottest part of our summer. They were on time everyday during our project and left our yard clean at the end of each day. We were amazed at how professional, experienced and hard-working their entire team was. The price was extremely reasonable as well and we felt we received our monies worth. We would highly recommend them!

Overall I was very impressed with Lyons Roofing. The repair was started right on time and the work looks great. Pricing was very fair and they didn't try to sell me on any additional work.

They gave me a good price on lumber because it was materials they already had and I didn't need that much replaced. They did everything beautifully. There were no problems afterwards. I received a call afterwards to make sure that I was pleased and that everything that went ok with the crew working. The only issue that I had was that my daughter and son-in-law were visiting and received a flat tire due to the small staples and nails in the driveway. They immediately sent someone over with their magnets to clean it up.

I waited 2 weeks for Lyons to send me a representative for a price quote on my roof. There was hail damage. They sent Jonathan and he was very polite and seemed to be knowledgeable. He gave me a quote which was approximately $4000.00 more than the insurance claim. H pointed out that the insurance company forgot some things on the quote to replace our roof. (the insurance company had said that they just needed to tell them where the difference was and they would allocate more money). There also was some problem with an upper deck railing that he had to check with the actual people who do the roof. He left my house and I was impressed. He told me that they would contact my insurance company and go over the reasons for the reasons for the additional amount needed to fix our roof and that he would get back to me on the upper deck railing problem. After a couple of day do trying to get a hold of him, I called him again and we resolved the railing problem. At this time, I told him to get a hold of the insurance company about the additional cost. I also told him that I was going to be gone for two weeks and for him to work on the insurance quote. When I returned, I called a day after I got back and received no return call. I called the office to see what happened to him and the girl on the phone told me she would look into it and get a hold of Jonathan. It has been several days since then and no call from anyone. One of the reasons I was looking at this company was their stellar reputation and professionalism. At this point I am not impressed. If they can't return their calls before they put on your roof, what will happen if there is a problem after the roof is on. I realize that a lot of roofers are busy because of the hail storm. If they are too busy or did not want to do the job, they should have told me and not waisted my time. I own other properties as well and will need to have roofing done at a later date. I will not be calling them. This is just bad business.

Dan Wolf of Lyons Roofing arrived right on time. We explained what we were looking for and Dan got his ladder and inspected the patio roof. He did give us an estimate for the cost of replacing our wood deck patio roof. But, what I really appreciated was the fact that he told us that (while he couldn't guarantee it), he felt that we did not have to have the work done right away. He felt that we could wait another year, possibly two before we would have to have the work done. In other words, there was absolutely no "hard sale". We have decided to wait a little more time before replacing our patio roof. But, when the time comes, we will definitely call Lyons Roofing.

I went to the company's website and sent them a request for a free estimate on July 5, 2011. A company rep contacted me the next day, and I explained the work I would like done on my roof. I was told the earliest day someone could come take a look was in 2 weeks (July 19th), so we scheduled an appointment on that day between 8:00 am - 9:00 am. I asked them to send me an email with the appointment confirmation and never received one. I was expecting a courtesy call the day before to confirm the scheduled service and never received one. Nobody showed for the appointment, so I used annual leave for no reason, and I am not too happy about it. Update: When it was all said and done, the company did perform the service. I am not overly impressed with the work, but at least the tiles hanging from my roof have been replaced and secured. One thing that I did like was that the owner noticed my original review and reached out herself to contact me. I explained my entire process, and she did seem concerned that a customer was unhappy and wanted to make an effort to prevent experiences like mine from happening in the future.

Overall they are very professional and I really like them.

They stayed in contact with me quite well. We felt confident with using them because they have been in business for a long time. We wanted to make sure of this because of our warranty. They did a great job at replacing some of the wood and we were very satisfied.

They told me from the beginning it would be awhile. When they came they checked the roof and gave me an estimate. Everything was very professional and they just really impressed me. I haven’t had anything done yet, but once again they impressed me.

We called to get our roof fixed right after a hail storm had hit, so all roofers were slammed, but Lyons not only fit us in the schedule, but did the job at a price almost half off what our other quotes came in at. They showed up on schedule (for both the quote and when they returned to complete the work), fixed our leak in one trip, were friendly and professional throughout the entire process. Even better they did the job while we were out, and sent a bill in the mail. These folks are pros all the way! I will never use another roofer again. Not even for a quote, no need to after our experience with Lyons.
