They gave me an estimate to fix only the problem areas, to re-do the front half of the roof , and then to do the whole roof. The pricing was less than my other two estimates and they had been given a good rating by Angies List and my neighbor. They called to let me know when they would start the work and about how long it would take to complete. I decided to do the whole roof. The same people showed up every day. The crew leader talked with me everyday and so did the project manager. They brought in a framer to replace rotted wood under the eaves and it looks beautiful. The tile they used to replace old or broken ones almost matched perfectly, but they placed them in an area that would not be readily seen by anyone from the street. They used as many of my tiles as they could and the cost savings was wonderful. Going through Angies list also allowed me to use a coupon for an extra 2 years of warranty for the roof. So instead of the standard of 10 years, I have a warranty for 12 years. I couldn't be happier with this company. The work was done quickly, effeciently, and with great pride. I would use them again in a second and will recommend them very highly.

Because of an excellent rating by Angie's List and the BBB, we contacted this company for an estimate for a re-roof of a large manufactured home. The company responded promptly with an appointment date and time and a followup email. Mr. LaNue, Lyons Roofing President, showed up early on 11/30 and made a detailed review of our requirements. He was extremely courteous and helpful. He promised to email/phone us with two estimates for different options. By 12/4 I had not heard from him so I sent a followup email. We have received no estimates or response to our email. So, we have selected another company (Westerner Products of Tucson) to perform the work.

They did a great job for the most part. Everything seems to be fine. Only complaint would be that they didn't move a couple of planters on the upper patio and they were stuck to the roof. I'd use them again.

They were awesome! They have crews who specialize in tear offs, repairs and foaming. So each crew is experienced in each phase. They were neat and got it done pretty quickly. There was no mess in our yard or driveway. We had just bought the home and were not looking forward to having to drop 12K on a new roof, but it had to be done. Brad was really great we had a few issues and he came out and helped my husband and showed us what we can do to prevent leaks from happening in this one area. The home had some bad planning ideas from the previous owners contractor that was not the roofing companies fault. Brad bent over backwards for us. He even offer to come out and help my husband seal the problem area. We are very happy. WIth flat roofs you need to have them done properly. We are thankful we had it done and were ready for the monsoon rains and winds. We would highly recommend them. They will be our roofers for life!

I'm one to rarely write a negative review. It simply isn't worth my time. After giving Lyons several attempts to correct their problem, and to no avail, here I am. I have a rental property that had roof leak. Pure and simple. Lyons arrived upon my request to diagnose and repair. They found the supposed leak, quoted me two estimates (one for an entire new roof, even though the home was only 5 years old, and one to repair the section that caused the leak). I went with the latter, as I didn't want to spend 5% of the homes purchase price on a new roof... some 5 years later. They claimed to guarantee their work, so it was a no brainer. I'm not going to go into every detail, as it's tireless. To sum it up, my tenants have experienced the same leak 3 times over the monsoon season, Lyons has been out twice to do a (water test) on the roof yet couldn't duplicate the leak (the same leak the diagnosed, supposedly repaired and charged me for). At the end of the day, I have a repair job that Lyons diagnosed would fix my problem that has done nothing of the sort. Same leak, same area... now totaling over $6000 in repairs.

Quote was outrageously higher than other estimates for the same work. Over double the price of others. Had 6 other quotes. Like other roofers I didn't get a good feeling of honesty out of them.

My experience was great. Estimate was roughly $500 less than another bid received. i would use this company again.

They came out to look into a leak in our flat foam roof, quickly identified the issue, advised I could fix it very easily & inexpensively myself, so I did!!

Honest & did everything as pomised

The crew was prompt on the morning scheduled. The roofer laid out a tarp on the ground and removed the old roofing and rotted plywood underneath. Then, he removed the side panels that were oalso rotted and restored the old boards with new. Where he oud good wood he retained that and only sawed off that which needed replacement so as to save us some expense. He said nothing and stuck to his task. It was obvious to me that he is a professional and very efficient in time , labor and materials. We definitely will contact them again for future service and repair!

I had a roof leak during a heavy monsoon storm. Lyons sent an inspector the day after I called. My roof is mostly clay tile but has 2 flat sections with foam coating. He found the problem in a foam section, but due to the 11 year age & overall condition of the roof, recommended replacing the entire foam sections instead of spot repair . I agreed because the price seemed very fair. Replacement required temporarily removing & then reinstalling solar water heater panels, which the solar company had to do in order to preserve their warranty. The plan was to have the solar panels removed on Wed, and Lyons come on Thursday, but Lyons came at the same time as the solar crew. Despite the scheduling foulup, Lyons was able to work with the solar crew & complete the job on Wed, a day earlier than I expected. Lyons Inspector and crew were all very polite and courteous, pleasant to work with.

Did not go well at all. Called and told the girl that answered the phone that I had a house in Gilbert that needed the roof looked at. Our tenant told us that there was what looked like a water spot on the ceiling. A plumber came out to look at the AC unit and he was the one that told us that we should have a roofer look at the problem. Thus we called you. The girl told me that Catherine would be the person to contact our tenant and I was told that she would do it that day. She did not. My tenant told me no one called her. So I called and said I wanted to know if Catherine did/did not call. I was put on hold for 10 minutes and when the girl came back on the line she said she couldn't locate Catherine and she would have Catherine call me right back. She did not call; and when I called again at 4:30 pm I got a recording that the office was closed for the day! Your slogan "Creating Customers For Life" definitely doesn't seem to work, anyway for me! I will definitely not use you! Your company blew it!

Everything was on time and as it was layed out. The work was actually finished a week early and the price was exactly what I was quoted. They will be the only roofing company I will contact for my next repair. The communication was fantastic from start to finish and everyone was friendly made sure my expectations were being met.

Perfect from start to finish. I wanted to wait a few months and make sure everything was done as expected. We did a layover my current asphalt shingle roof. Jared came out, walked me through the whole process and why Lyons would be happy to do this job. I made it very clear that I was going to have multiple quotes done and he gave me some great tips and questions to ask. After that whole process they were a bit higher than most (about $1000). After a coversation with Jared he was able to make the number fit a bit better. My concern was quality over price and I made that very clear to all roofers who came out for an inspection/estimate. They came out on time to start the job. The crew was very imformative and couteous. The job took about 2 days longer than anticipated....BUT, I wasn't going to be home, and it was my roof. It could have taken them a month and it wouldn't have hurt my feelings. When I got home from my trip I had a new roof, new ridge top vent, new chimney cover, painted roof fixtures, and a new ac unit put back exactly as it should have been. Yard was spotless as well. I would recommend these guys to anyone. Another very deciding factor, was they would handle any and all insurance clams due to hail, rain, or wind. That's really important as those things are common here in Arizona. Piece of mind, from a great LOCAL company, that follows that up with great work!

We have lived in our house almost 20 years and the cedar shake roof was on there at least 7 years before that. 8 years ago my son said he thought it made our house look like a haunted house and it had gone downhill since then. After every strong wind there would be shingles found on the ground all around the house. The shake roof had been put right on top of the existing asphalt shingles and the roof only ever leaked around the guest bathroom vent when the wind blew just right. Over the years a poorly made porch cover had fallen down revealing rotting wood where it has attached to the front. We also had two skylights that had cracked years ago, a massive evaporative cooler that hadn’t functioned for 13 years, and gas plumbing to the air conditioner that was not up to code. We have a ranch style 3 bedroom 2 bath house – 1760 sq. ft. – with an attached 2 car garage. The estimate came in at $9,371 with an additional flat fee of $350 for a subcontractor to come in and remove the evaporative cooler and rework the attic ductwork. We received a price sheet for any carpentry that might be needed and were prepared to pay around $500 given the visible work that we knew needed to be done. We looked at some websites to select the shingles of our choice and were consulted during the estimate on which ones fit into our neighborhood and which ones didn’t. They told us during that estimate that our gas plumbing was put in wrong and would have to be fixed before they could install and we got another Angie’s List A-lister on it immediately. They also found a problem with the gas water heater venting. The estimate was performed on July 10th, and the work was scheduled for Tuesday, July 31st. We thought we would work company that installed our last air conditioner to remove the evap cooler unit and perhaps save some money, but they quoted us a price $400 dollars higher, so we called Lyons right back and asked them to include that in the contract. Throughout July we had the Gas work performed – another excellent Angie’s list review given to Apple Plumbing – and coordinated schedules and contractors. Lyons arrived promptly at 6:00 with a large crew and had guessed the tear off of the old roof would be done between 10 and 11. We schedule the plumber to pop the new gas line that was already stubbed in the attic and the new water heater vent at that time; however, the roofing crew encountered a giant problem. The cedar shakes were not installed correctly. Instead of roofing nails, the roof had been installed with giant iron nails that had to be pulled out by hand instead of the traditional method. Once all of the was gone the old asphalt roof had to be removed and any damaged wood replaced. It took the crew until 6:30 to get that done, the evaporative cooler removed and re-vented, and the wood replaced. Through it all they were very professional, upbeat, kept us informed every bit of the way, told us exactly what would happen and covered the landscape with tarps. They had the whole thing cleaned up beautifully, going over the yard with magnetic rollers to pick up any nails. You could not have told they were there by the time they were finished. It was a very hot grueling day for those workers, but they were fantastic. Due to the possibility of monsoon storms, they made sure that everything was put together well enough to weather any storm and they came back bright and early the next morning. Due to the extended amount of time to remove the roof, and Lyon’s roofing wanted to be on schedule for other jobs, we had a smaller crew putting the new shingles on the roof and it took Wednesday through Friday to get that completed. The smaller crew was excellent and they kept plodding away, getting the complexity of the plumbing and vent jacks and the complex angles at the front taken care of Wednesday and Thursday and then doing the entire backside in a day. Had the roof come off as expected, I have no doubt the larger crew would have this completed much faster, but we made it clear that it was not an issue for us, content with the speed, quality, and professionalism we were getting, as well as the excellent coordination with our other contractors. The roof was completed on Friday with the vent jacks, plumbing, and attic turbines painted to match the roof. New drip line was installed around the house and the two new skylights are in and providing much better lighting than before. The cleanup was fantastic. Phil came back to explain the warranties and to settle up and they stuck to the original estimate in spite of the much more difficult tear down. Carpentry came in a little under what was expected. The roof is fantastic. Now my wife wants to paint! I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Lyons roofing and I will have them back out to put the roof on a large storage shed I am building.

Overall, contracting Lyon's roofing was a good decision.

They didn't show and no call. I waited all day. I called them and left a message explaining the missed appointment. No call back. Not very professional.

The job that they did was fantastic. They were very punctual! The tear off was done and half of the roof was replaced in the first dayThe rest of the shingles were done the following day and everything was cleaned up before the end of the day. I am extremely happy the work that they did . The staff were friendly and courteous and I would refer anyone that I know to their company!!

No response to my inquiry after five days.

I interviewed five or six companies that I got from Angie's List. They were the one that I thought had the most credible service, decent price, and they were by far the most timely. They did a good job and I am happy with it.
