 + -1 moreI chose this mover over another that had a less expensive quote because of their tight delivery schedule. Little did I know that they would be unable to fulfill on that promise. The movers showed up on time on loading day. It all went downhill from there. They took an extraordinarily long time loading my furniture - almost twice as long as other movers I have used in the past for similarly sized loads and locations. This impacted my busy schedule in a big way. Rather than wrapping the furniture pieces in place, as other movers have done in the past, they picked up and moved the pieces unwrapped outside before wrapping. I witnessed them banging the pieces, and creating several scratches in the process. As for delivery, they arrived an entire day late due to a truck breakdown. Granted, this could have happened to anyone, but the driver failed to notify me at all about the delay. In fact, I had to call the dispatcher to ask about the delivery. The dispatcher claimed that the driver attempted to reach me and that my phone number was not working. The fact was that the driver had dialed my number incorrectly on his phone, even though it was clearly and correctly listed on the bill of lading. Unloading was an even more stressful experience. The helpers the mover hired to unload showed up an hour after the truck arrived, and left after only two hours. I had to cancel plans to attend a memorial service because of the prolonged time spent unloading my goods. Several pieces of furniture had not been wrapped at all and arrived damaged as a result. At least I give the company credit for discounting my final bill as compensation for the damaged items. However, overall it was a less than pleasurable experience dealing with this company, and I doubt I will use them again.

 + -1 moreThey did a great job. The moving company we used to unload our trucks in Seattle was most impressed with the quality of their work.
Description of Work: Two guys came to our home on time and prepared to work. They wrapped and loaded all of our stuff onto 2 moving trucks in 3.5 hours. These guys were tireless and did an outstanding job. If you are going to be moving from Portland, call this company. All of our stuff was loaded safely and we did not have any issues when we opened the trucks. It was a very reasonable price and they were far more effective than 6 amatuer movers could ever have been.

 + -1 moreThe contact person is Jeffrey Grabeel. I have one complaint. They did not bring the shrink wraps to wrap them around my furniture. I was under the impression that they would. They used rubber bands which was okay but shrink wraps work better. We moved 100 miles and so we had damage on one piece of furniture. The movers were really conscientious with the exception of not bringing the shrink wraps but they did a great job. What they did for us is that they wrapped all our furniture and loaded an U-haul truck and trailer trucks and we had someone else in Mesquite to unpack for us. I will use them in the future but would want them to use the shrink wrap.
Description of Work: We used All Service Moving for moving and loading. Around the 23rd of October they loaded. We spent about $400 for loading and moving 100 miles.

 + -1 moreWe were on a fairly tight time frame because a) we wanted to move over Labor Day weekend and b) we had wasted several weeks dealing with bids from large van lines. Jeff, the owner, was responsive and prompt with his bid. Unlike traditional movers, All Service works weekends and holidays for no additional charge. We were able to schedule the packing for Friday and Saturday, the loading on Sunday and have our stuff delivered on Tuesday, all for $4,000 less than what the van lines wanted to charge. Each day, the crew arrived on time (or called if they were running a few minutes late), and they stayed as long as was necessary to finish that day's work. They were polite, hardworking and helpful. There were no surprises on the charges -- everything was itemized upfront and broken down clearly. We've now unpacked (or at least been through at least 90% of the boxes), and I have yet to find anything broken. Fragile items are well wrapped and packed appropriately. Jeff and every one of his guys were a pleasure to work with, and I recommend them highly without reservation.
Description of Work: We hired All Service to pack and move our household belongings from Oregon to California. They spent two days packing our belongings, including a pool table and a piano and one day loading everything. They drove the next day and delivered everything the following day. They picked up two items from a friend's house for us and moved a number of pieces of Techline furniture into the garage for us. They even loaded a big pile of items for the Goodwill into my car.

We scheduled for an 8am start and when traffic held them up a bit, they called to let me know - this worked out fine because I was running a bit behind as well. When the guys got there, I showed them all the stuff I wanted moved to the PODS container and which stuff was staying behind for sure. We also knew that not everything would fit in the POD - so I asked them to move everything that didn't fit up from the basement which they did without question or complaint. They very carefully wrapped and moved everything into the POD - it was like watching a like Tetris game watching the two of them carefully stack and fit as much in the POD as was possible. Every inch of space that could be used was used. They made sure that everything that was important to us was in the POD. I appreciate their hard work and diligence to complete the job in a timely and efficient manner.

 + -1 moreThere was an issue because we kept having to change our dates and we had to contact another mover. The new mover said that they were going to be able to do it and we set the date with them. We found out the night before that the new mover we were going to use had messed the date up and when we contacted them they said they could not do it because they were booked up. In a panic we called Jeff at All Service and not only did they honor the original price but they were able to load and unload all of the furniture from Portland to Seattle in one day. They took great care of our items including a piano and I'm going to give them all A's.

 + -1 moreI could NOT have expected these events to be any better; Jeff amazes me with his, "What next?" attitude and he basically would not let me even pick up anything, he was there to do it all and he really really did.
Description of Work: I was blessed to have Jeff and his crew from All Service Moving come and move me on three occasions due to the complexity of my belongings recntly when I purchased a new home. The initial move was for boxes and household items; Jeff and his crew even assembled the new furniture out of the boxes and brought the boxes and packing to the curb for me. They were fast, efficient, prompt, professinal and their prices were not only competitive but the best I could find. I was VERY impressed. I then learned that he could move even large items; I had a barrel sauna that was 6' long and about 5' wide; Jeff brought four men for that move a few weeks later and they moved that sauna with ease. They also then moved further items that I had not asked to be moved when they were helping me previously. Most recently then, Jeff and his four man crew moved AN ENTIRE BUILDING as I had built a building, a 10' x 12' full height, truss building for storage and Jeff bid on that and was again by far, hand over first, the most reasonable. Jeff brought his four man team and together over the course of two days, they loaded that up, did NO damage to the prior location even though it was not a easy move (sloped concrete, a tree stump they had to move around), got the building turned 45o that it would sit as I hoped it to, moved it into place, did landscaping, made it all work, had no damage to any of them, came on time worked consistently - Jeff amazes me with his ability to crew lead, manage, move things, his energy, his ethics. I even told him I felt he had underbid that job and wanted to pay more and JEFF WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO, which integrity is beyond anything I have ever experienced. I can not say enough good about this young man and his crew. Anyone who is fortunate enough to obtain his services WILL NOT be dissappointed. Thank you Jeff, as you know you will be next moving my greenhouse. Thank you allf or reading. Take a good look at Jeff should you have any moving needs or know of another that might. He is wonderful.

 + -1 moreI called to get an estimate and was immediately impressed by the professionalism and the way the call was handled. They displayed a confidence and competence regarding moving pianos that made me feel confident that they knew exactly what they were doing. I was able to set up an appointment for the move quickly and easily. They gave a one-hour window during which I was to expect them to show up at the beginning location. The only slightly negative thing that I can say is that the movers showed up right at the very end of the one-hour window that I was given. I understand that this can happen, and that's why they give a window instead of a specific time, but it was awkward to be sitting in a stranger's house (from whom I acquired the piano) waiting for the full hour. Once the moving team showed up, everything went off without a hitch. The guys were conscientious about taking good care of the instrument as well as the doorways and such through which they would be moving. It was quite a sit to see two guys lift a piano straight up off the ground and carry it into the moving truck (albeit with the aid of a set of shoulder straps and a wide strap that went under the piano. Overall, the service was great. I can't fault them too much for showing up at the end of the time window, since they did show up within the window, after all!
