Long Distance Moving - All Service Moving

It was suggested an estimator visit to confirm our load would fit in their truck, and so we could best estimate what we would need for additional transport, if needed. The estimator showed up on time, and was courteous and professional. We discussed a couple of move date options other than our original request, but it sounded like our original date would be the best, as he said it was available. He said he would call the office to relay our information, and they would send a contract. Five minutes later the office called, again very nice person, but they informed me that they did NOT have any service available on the date(s) we needed. We understand that this is an extremely busy time for people to move. But if there was the possibility that we could not be moved on our requested date, then we should have been told that when we first made contact - we should not have been told that a crew was available that date, if they were not. If a signed contract was needed, with deposit, before they could set a date, then they should have told us that initially as well, rather than saying repeatedly they could move us on certain date, and then telling us that they have no available crew. Alternate dates were offered, but they were after our house closed, and the new buyer was scheduled to move in. We are now in the very uncomfortable and extremely stressful situation of being one week from our move, and having to scramble to find a company who can move all of our belongings. To say we are disappointed, and astonished, would be putting it mildly. We wish others better success than we experienced.

Noah and 3 movers arrived on time and started inventory, disassembly, and shrink wrapping. We had done all the packing. Two trucks with two drivers arrived soon after and the stuff was loaded. The trucks were headed out before 1:00 PM! Efficient and fast. Pleasant also.

They were punctual, and performed the work quickly. The lead worker seemed to know what he was doing. However, several pieces of wooden furniture suffered dings and the finish was worn off from the wrapping. Overall we were disappointed with how many pieces were damaged in the move.

Went smoothly. Crew was timely, courteous and careful. My best moving experience by far. Best part, they're only hauling your stuff, not combined moves, so they can be precise with pick up and delivery times. Makes them cost more but it's worth it.

We could not have asked for a better moving experience. We were dreading this move because of past experiences with moving companies. These guys were outstanding. There was no standing around wasting time. They hit the ground running and didn't stop until all of our things were delivered to our new home. I have a curio cabinet that has a lot of curved glass...it arrived in perfect condition after a 5-6 hour drive, partially on winding roads. They wrapped all of our wood furniture in blankets and then wrapped again with a cellophane wrap that kept the blankets in place. All of our furniture with fabric was wrapped as well. We're still unpacking but we have yet to find any new scratches or anything broken or lost! You cannot go wrong with this group of people!! I will recommend them again in a heartbeat!! rContacted ASM online for quote. Noah responded right away. Noah provided very clear description of how they price packing, loading transport and unloading. Noah was able to accommodate my required schedule perfectly. Brian came to the house to prepare the estimate. We have a large number of books and heavy furniture. Unfortunately, he somewhat underestimated the weight and hence the number of trucks that would be needed to haul the load. (More on this later.) ASM also somewhat estimated the amount of time to pack and load. The process took 2.5 days instead of the anticipated 1.5 days. Nonetheless, the team of movers were very professional and hard-working. We have a two-story house with steep front steps as well as a basement. The movers saw their share of stairs. They also drove to pick up belongings we had placed at a nearby public storage facility. Omar and JB finished up the loading on the third day and started out from Portland to the Bay Area. Our original plan was for them to arrive Friday morning, but they were now running a day behind. This was fine because I was also running a day behind with other errands. We agreed to meet first thing Saturday morning at the unloading site. Omar called on Friday to advise that one of the two trucks was overweight and could not enter California. Omar and JB temporarily unloaded some of our belongings into a storage facility in Medford, OR. Noah subsequently called me to ask if I would pay 50% of the cost of a third truck, arguing that ASM should have probably charged me for three trucks to begin with but that he didn't feel doing so was appropriate at this point. I thought this was a fair ask, and because the team had otherwise treated me well I agreed. Omar and JB arrived on time Saturday morning and we began unloading. Again, ASM underestimated the unloading time (8 hours actual vs. "a couple" estimate) and the size of the storage locker I would need. Initially, Omar indicated that the 10x25' locker I rented would hold everything. In reality we needed an additional 10x15' locker, which fortunately I was able to rent (for an additional $200/mo). After unloading all day Saturday (of Labor Day weekend), Omar and JB returned six hours to Medford, picked up the remaining items from the temporary storage facility and met me at 5pm Sunday afternoon to unload. This last bit of unloading took two hours. I have worked with other movers in the past who were much, much better at estimating than ASM. But I must say that ASM acted very professionally and they worked extremely hard and carefully. Even though they probably worked twice the numbers of hours they had expected, they didn't complain and they made sure that I was happy and satisfied with the move, including charging me fairly. I would definitely work with them again, although I might double all of their time estimates (wink).

Excellent. These guys rocked - Brian & Rob. A 26' truck with way to many book boxes and art boxed. All moved by hand up a flight of stairs. Guys showed up on time & hustled. I'd use you again.

The total experience was great and comforting, as we have not moved in 34 years. They did exactly what they said they would.

Due to work circumstances I used All Service Moving twice this year (moving from OR to CA and back). They were punctual, polite, kept in good contact with me during the move and all of my things arrived undamaged. The move was fairly priced and their quotes were accurate. They made this part of my move painless and I would highly recommend them.

Julio and Robby called from the road to let me know that traffic was a bit heavier than anticipated and that they might be a few minutes late but actually they were right on time. They introduced themselves, asked for a tour of each room to see what was to be packed and loaded and then got right to work. They were personable, professional and worked non-stop until the job was completed and everything that could be loaded into the moving truck was securely loaded. They disassembled bedframes and dining tables, etc. making sure the hardware required for each was securely attached to the furniture for reassembly at our destination. These two men were wonderful to work with so I asked their manager to send them to load my daughter's property when she was ready to move several weeks later.

The phone calls and courtesy have been great so far. The owner gave me a very detailed and clear explanation of what services they would provide and what might cost extra. He gave me a great response and called me back within an hour and was very forthcoming with the information. I would recommend them.
