I had Devin Kempster who helped design the kitchen and keep track of all the details of construction. She designed a kitchen within my budget and was very aware of what I wanted and how much money I had to spend. She designed exactly what I wanted and was helpful, kind, and knowledgeable regarding all aspects of remodeling. She consistently called/texted me to be sure everything was going smoothly and when we had a problem with the hood from an appliance store she stepped in and fixed it for me. Now that the kitchen is finished, I have had amazing compliments on how the openness and design completely transformed my house. Devin helped create an environment in my home that is now inviting, bright, and homey. Steve Cochran was my on-site supervisor, construction overseer, and fixer of subcontractor?s mistakes. He did a super awesome job on my kitchen/bathroom remodel. I think the number one thing that I appreciate most about Steve is that I know my house is better on the inside than it was before. When we had an 11 foot window installed, he made sure that a huge beam was put in to keep it up for a lifetime. When he removed our soffits, he found a small water leak in the roof and was sure to have the plumbers attend to that as well. Make no mistake, the appearance of our kitchen is wonderful, but what can?t be seen is equally as awesome, thanks to Steve?s attention to detail. The first lighting crew that came in were sub-par and didn?t measure my can lights in a straight line. Steve noticed right away and had it fixed to perfection. He returned my calls and texts right away and could resolve any problem that came up.

It wasn't really that great. It was pretty quick.

We were satisfied with the work they did. We had some settling cracks in our sheetrock and they patched them very well. Now you can't even see them!

A friend found KDC on Angie's List for us I called. My wife and I are both totally blind so having work done of this magnitude would involve circumstances not normally presented to a contractor. Safety and trust are paramount to us and I must say the team at KDC has performed beyond our highest expectations. We spoke with Nate over the phone and an appointment was made. He listened to us talk about what we needed, wanted and expected to make our home safer and more functional for us. Our biggest concern for prepping the job was purchasing supplies, appliances, cabinet, countertops, flooring, fixtures........etc. How would we manage? Well Nate said don't worry, I'll shop with you. He took us all over the place to check out everything for ourselves. Anybody can throw a sales pitch but very few back up what they say. Great customer service. We've entered into a contract and are awaiting permits. We are excited and energized and look forward to working with these guys.

All of the Kirk personnel Gary Tomich, Curt Armstrong and Michael Lentine (Project Superintendent) were extremely professional throughout the entire project. Each helped with all requests and questions along the way. Our major concern was to have the addition match the existing house as much as possible and boy does it! All the way from the masonry work to the color of the roof tile matching the existing 1948 material. We were extremely please with the craftsmanship of all the subcontractors from concrete work to the finish painting. Including Michael's carpentry skills milling trim work to match the original and installing windows and doors. I was an industrial Project Manager for 13 years and was completely pleased with the design and quality of all the work performed. All City Permits were granted and Inspections passed without issue the first time. We highly recommend the Kirk Team for all projects from major to minor and will use them exclusively for any future work.

Kirk Development is the 3rd company from Angie's List that we contacted in an attempt to get a quote on a remodel project. The first one was too busy to quote, the 2nd one returned one phone call then we never heard from them again, now this one has failed to return a simple phone call request for a quote. We have absolutely no idea how the company conducts itself; but we can't imagine having to actually do business with a company that can't even return a new business phone call. Disappointed.

It went very well. The workers were prompt, efficient and neat. I was very satisfied with the results. We have used Kirk Development Company for other remodeling projects and I have been very happy with their work. The people that came to the house were very professional and easy to have around. The projects were done in a timely manner. I would use Kirk Development Company again.

It was not a good experience, and it took around 8 months to complete. There were delays, and problems with the cabinets. When I called them I initially had asked if they could do a certain style of kitchen, and told me they understood the style I was looking for and would be able to implement it themselves. But while they worked with what I wanted, I had to come up with the designs myself for the style I was looking for.

I recently noticed some crack lines in my exterior masonry block wall as well as a crack line in my inside ceiling drywall near the exterior crack lines. I was concerned about having to have foundation repairs or other expensive remedial work. Instead of calling foundation repair contractors, I contacted Kirk Development Co. They had done outstanding work on our extensive remodeling job in 2011, so I wanted to get their professional opinion of this problem before I called anyone else. They had Curt, the Project Superintendent we had worked with in 2011, review several photos of the cracks and called me with the news that they are nothing more than normal settling cracks, consistent with the age of the house, and that they are not caused by a problem with the foundation. Calling Kirk Development Co. instead of a foundation repair contractor saved me time and money.

We are very pleased with the job. They were very clean which is important to me They showed up when they were supposed to and communicated very well I highly recommend them!!!!

First got multiple bids and with that, kirk development was by far the most professional from the start, not the lowest bid but not the highest either, it was the attitude of the superintendent that made up our minds. The projects were slated for two days each and of course that made me nervous, everyone likes there own bath and is accustomed to their own routines. The team arrived punctually every day, and despite one or two unknown factors that was secondary to less than optimal original construction, the entire project was completed to my utmost satisfaction, on time and on budget. THRILLED. The most important part for us was by far the professionalism of the crew, being on time, the cleanliness and the level of experience and expertise. Have already recommended to several colleagues and would not hesitate to utilize their services again

Fromt the day Gary Tomich gave us an estimate until today, the end of our project, we have been thrilled with our new addition. We added 600 square feet to our existing home and updated the garage and it went smooth as butter. Each and every sub contractor (masons, concrete, windows, tile roof , drywall, siding, painters etc.) was knowledgeble and acted professional in their trade and their work was stellar. Down the road we will be updating our kitchen, and we will only be callingj Kirk Developlment to take on this project. I highly recommend Kirk Development. Also, there were not any challenges getting their work appoved by the city of Phoenix inspector. Greens tags each and every time. Thank you Kirk Development!!!!!!!!!

They were wonderful. They called ahead of time to make sure that we were available. The workman came when he said he would and did the job professionally for us. I have used Kirk Development for many projects in the past, including an addition to my garage. They always do an excellent job!

Accepted their bid after getting several other bids for the project. Their bid was the highest, but I had felt they were the most professional company I had talked to. Unfortunately that was not the case. I had put my trust in this company to remodel a home I had just purchased to make it wheelchair accessible for me. They got the permit to start construction in June of 2014, they did not finish the job until November of 2014. I could have built a new home in the time they took to do this job. The cabinets that I wanted replaced in the home kept turning out wrong, the cabinet company didn't do a good job at all. The bathroom replumbing took forever and then they wanted to put in a shower that was not wheelchair accessible??? Almost all of the things that I wanted put in the home were over their budget. I kept asking them what to pick that would fall under the budget they gave me, but received no help with choosing these items. They just kept saying I was choosing items that were over the budget. The cost of the permit was over their budget estimate. That I had no choice over that at all. The Cabinets came in way over budget and this I could not understand since they work with this company, Cholla Cabinets and should have known what their pricing was. The style, color and sizing of the cabinets came out all wrong and had to be redone. The color of the bathroom cabinets were white, but the door and cabinet colors are off. AND to make matters worse they kept blaming me for everything that was wrong. Nothing was ever their fault. Anyway to make a very long story short, DO NOT go with this company unless you have unlimited sources of cash to give to them and you don't care how long the job will take. I looked them up, in the end of the job, under the Arizona Registrar of Contractors and saw that they had an ongoing complaint filed against them. I wish I had known this before starting this project. I finally got the job done and I have moved into the house, however I will need to remodel the hall bathroom now and would never go with this company again.

My sister has been wanting to remodel her 30 year old house in east Mesa for a long time. I joined Angie's list for this sole reason to help her find a contractor. So today she began calling the list I printed out for her and she called Kirk development which had a green and gold star by their listing which is supposed to be a good thing. My sister spoke to a jerk by the name of Gary who I guess pulled up her house information off of 'Zillow" or any real estate site that gives estimated value, neighborhoods, and square footage estimates. He basically went on to make her feel like her house was not worth his time because it was in a lower middle class subdivision, had septic service, a carport, and even gave her crap because she told him she has a lattice structure on her back porch for shade during the summer. All he would have to say is we don't do work on homes valued under 200k or something like that. Instead he made her feel like her house was a waste of his time. My sister is an Air Force veteran who bought this house on her E5 rank paycheck status at the time while stationed at Williams AFB 30 years ago and has struggled to be able to save enough to finally fix it up nice. This guy is a jerk and not somebody I would want greeting customers who are going to spend thousands of dollars on home improvements. From reading the reviews of this company, it sounds like they do good work, but their point of contact Gary should not be dealing with customers.

We purchased a nice home up in the Ahwatukee Foothills that was great but one sour point was that it had a very awkwardly designed covered patio. We had great views to enjoy our summer monsoons but any time it would rain, the water would pour off the roof onto windows and walls or be blown back onto any of our patio furniture. The drainage was so poor that it would become a shallow lake. It was really too small for the house. We started our search initially contacting roofing specialists and were eventually provided several contractor recommendations. The remodel business can be scary, so you have to ask the right questions. Kirk Development got the bid, not because they were the low price, but because everyone had nothing but good things to say about them. We have not been disappointed. Everyone, including all of the subcontractors, has been a joy to work with. Even City of Phoenix inspectors praised their work ethic and getting things done right. Tom Sertich and his team did a complete redesign of our patio, nearly doubling the size, and designing a very livable open space so that it would blend into the existing structure, protect everyone from the elements. It really does look like part of the original design as they took features from other homes in the neighborhood and used them in the remodel. This was a big project and they had the staff to do all of the engineering calculations and building code compliance. They made suggestions for updating electrical and lighting that will blend in well with the landscape remodel. All of their workers and subs showed up on and were clean and courteous. All of them were good problem solvers too. Anytime you remodel an older home, you are going to run into issues. Any that they ran into were solved without a hitch. I can say that our new patio design is working out perfectly and passed the test with this year's mega monsoon storms. I highly recommend them and we will be using them for a future master bath remodel.

All of the workmen involved were courteous, promp and clean. We were aware of some remodel nightmare stories but we did not experience here. The superintendent, Mike did a great job of keeping us informed and keeping the job moving along. Most of all I must say the job site was kept clean and orderly throughout the process. The whole company from Nate the estmator to the office staff to the guys in the field were just excellent; organized and professional. Thanks to the whole team for making our experience and our room addition so great! Johnnie

Estimate was pretty close to final cost. Most of the work was done in a timely and professional manner. This was some extensive remodeling and required a few subcontractors. Most of the subs showed up when they said and did very good work. There were a couple of minor glitches with scheduling, but not a real big inconvenience. They even went out of their way to help with the installation of ceiling fans which wasn't in the contract. The foreman for the job installed the fans himself. Overall I am very satisfied with the finished project and would hire Kirk Dev. again.

The renovation went extremely well. The new kitchen is larger and more functional.

They came out and estimated, and brought some good ideas. I got new cabinets, tops, sink faucet and appliances put in. The microwave needed to be vented to the outside and that was no problem tor the guys. Everything went smooth and it was nice that they kept it clean all the time too. Highly recommend.
