The price point offered has been fair and the services rendered has been excellent. I would recommend Angies list to anyone who is in need of such services.
Description of Work: Had the Opportunity to use Angies service for Electrical and Plumbing related work in my Condo. On both the occasion I found the gentlemen involved were punctual, polite and service oriented. The end result is that I have been a very satisfied customer.

Simply put, you only get one opportunity to make a good first impression and follow-up is important. The contractor and the customer each understand that their time is valuable, and in my opinion, the burden for follow-up and closing the sale is on the contractor.
Description of Work: I attempted to schedule this consultation with the Company shortly before the offer expired. They agreed to extend the expiration date because it was close to the holidays, and was inconvenient for me to attempt to have the consult at that time. The appropropriate individual called me back one time to re-schedule, but have not heard from them again. I guess the single lead was not enough to convince them that I may actually want to undertake this remodel project. We have since identified and solicited bids from another provider. Thanks.

Trip was worthwhile, although didn't select Kirk. Thought their ideas lacked creativity; photos were boring and not at all helpful. Was comfortable that work quality would be good as vendor provided many references. Since that time, I have rec'd other quotes which were considerably less from contractors I found satisfactory.
Description of Work: Vendor was part of "Angie's Big Deal". Came for discussion on master bath remodel. Brought photos of other jobs. Made suggestions as to materials, time estimate and general cost estimate, although w/o my selecting items it was essentially labor costs.

The kitchen and bath remodels went great. They handled all the demo, set it up so we could remain in our house during the remodel, and finished on time (and on budget). The garage enclosure went well too. The only snag was hitting a water line that wasn't expected. Even though the water line was intact, they made sure it wasn't going to be an issue later and fixed it at no charge. Overall both jobs were handled with total professionalism, and we would absolutely recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: We've used Kirk for two projects. They remodeled our entire kitchen and bathrooms after full demo. They also enclosed our carport on a second project.

A kitchen remodel is never easy, but Kirk Development completed the job on time, on budget and we are very pleased with the final results. There were issues along the way, but Nate did an excellent job of addressing each issue so that we were satisfied with the resolution. He worked hard to make sure we were satisfied and that our expectations were met. The guy who installed the quartz countertops was exceptional. We had someone else install the tile floor and we appreciated Kirk Development's willingness to work with the tile contractor to complete that installation at the right time.
Description of Work: Provided design services and acted as contractor for our kitchen remodel. The remodel included installation of custom kitchen cabinets, new counters with new sink and faucet, and appliances.

The process went as smoothly as a remodel can - very few delays or surprises, and the job site was kept very clean. It is never easy to be without a kitchen for several weeks, but Kirk kept things going and responded immediately when we called with questions or concerns. The few small problems were fixed quickly with no extra charges - we had initially asked for a can light to be installed in one place, but realized it would be better in a different spot, and they moved it and fixed the drywall with no complaints or charges. When we got toward the end and needed the remodel finished before our Christmas party, they worked all day to get the final details finished - the electrician was hanging lights at 7:00 pm! When we asked for extras, they were very upfront with the pricing - no surprises. Will use them again and would recommend to everyone.
Description of Work: Kirk was great from start to finish - helped us plan a complete kitchen remodel. New island construction, new electrical and lights, new cabinets and granite surfaces, new sink and fixtures, backsplash, and new fireplace. They were very responsive to our design ideas and incorporated our suggestions, even after they had come up with a plan that we had tentatively approved. The subcontractors were all excellent. They had great ideas and spent several hours with us before we began to get an idea of what we wanted, what we needed, what we could afford, etc.

I was pleased with the work that was done. They listened to my concerns and offered helpful ideas. I found all the contractors to be pleasant and knowledgeable. Everyone cleaned up after themselves so that I did not have a mess at the end of the day. This was a great experience.
Description of Work: We had an existing patio roof shored up and installed full block columns and had stucco installed on the columns to extend the original patio area by 20 feet. The area was painted and outdoor fans and lights were added. We also had the master bathroom remodeled. Removing the old existing tub and shower area. All of the tile needed to be replaced. We put in a no barrier shower stall and rearranged the lay out giving us more floor space. There was framing for the new tub and shower that needed to be done. We also added a large pocket door from the bedroom to the bathroom. Heat lights were added above the shower and the tub. The shower head was raised.

No services were performed. I paid for a consultation and design for a kitchen remodel, and they did not provide the services I paid them for. I made repeated phone calls, and the person who answered the phone was unfamiliar with the Angie's List deal. She took my name and telephone number and told me someone would return my call. Nobody has every responded to my calls, and there has been no attempt to resolve the matter.

From our perspective , the designer seemed to be just filling his free time by collecting $75 for a design consultation visit.
Description of Work: We wanted ideas on how we might upgrade our combined kitchen/great room in a tight budget situation. The Kirk Develpment Co. designer seemed less than interested with such a confining parameter and left us with the felling that we were not worth his time. Accordingly , after his defensive reaction to our suggestions regarding the cost of his suggestions we backed off ended the design consultation.

I was a little disappointed to find that my $75 Angie's Big Deal was for estimation services that were provided for free by other companies I interviewed. That the estimate was quite a bit higher than others I received put these guys out of the running for my business.

He tried to reschedule at the last minute but I couldn't because I had scheduled vacation time from work especially for this appointment. That was kind of annoying. He seemed nice and worked the whole time, but I was disappointed that I had to have some of the work redone by someone else.
Description of Work: In the three hours he put on a new bathroom seat, replaced a toliet flusher thing, replaced a whirlybird on the roof, installed a new door handle, and put back some baseboards. He also tried to fix a deadbolt on the door which didn't end up working. He also tried to patch up a gate which quickly fell apart.

The people we dealt with thru Kirk Development were a delight to work with. They were polite, punctual and did a beautiful job. They were great at listening to my concerns and also to my ideas and incorporating when possible. I would definately use them again for any remodeling job, large or small.
Description of Work: We started by raising ceilings in the entryway into the kitchen. The kitchen was gutted and reconfigured to enclude a center island and increasing my cupboard storage. New custom cabinets were installed along with quartz countertops. We removed a laundry room encreasing the size of the kitchen. We also retiled the kitchen, family room, dining room, entryway and hallway, also added tile to our Arizona room. We put all new exterior doors and interior doors on.

It went well. Kirk Development came through for us once again. Steve is really easy going and he really listened to us. We also talked to Tom Sertich who made some suggestions on what sort of grab bars to have installed.
Description of Work: These people know their stuff! We have used Kirk Development many times over the past several years. Most recently they put in some grab bars and made some aging-in-place accommodations for us. Steve came out and was extremely helpful in listening to what we needed and getting us the finished product we wanted. The grab bars were especially helpful after my wife was recovering from hip replacement surgery. Kirk Development also referred us to a company that did an assessment and roof replacement after the hailstorm damaged it. We know we can trust Kirk. They are a local family owned company and they have also done projects for several of our neighbors.

When I moved into this Sun City house several years ago nothing was updated. I called Kirk Dev. and Gary came to see me. I explained to him that I do alot of entertaining and functionality was important to me. They completley gutted my crowded kitchen removing cabinets, soffets , and pantry. they relocated the fridge to the other side adding more cabinetry and countertops. The undulating disign of the cabinets is a real eye catcher and gets many compliments, as does the tile backsplash. From functionality to finishes, I love my new kitchen. The updated doors, paint job, and new tile floor are amazing. There personlized approach really rings through, I was assigned a project superintendant who handled everything. Nathan was on top of everything and assured that work was accomplished to his high standard. All of my expectations were surpassed, and I know I made the right choice with KDC. Denise VanHuysen

Good suggestions and recommendations as to gaining and maximizing space . The pocket door and walk in shower were major improvements. The salesman out side the box thinking was very beneficial because of recsent surgery and limited mobility. Their super intendant was puntual and did what he said he would do and job progressed as promised. Thanks guys Gary and Christie Kreft
Description of Work: Complete demolition of master bathroom. Pushed out bathroom wall to gain footage. Cut flooor to move drains and installed custom shower. Used Angie's List online deal to get master bathroom design and consultation. I had been saving for a while (over $30k) and was finally ready to tackle the last major update in my home. Barry with Kirk Dev Co cancelled our first scheduled meeting at my home due to car trouble. He said he or his office would call me back to reschedule-- no one ever called me. I called him about 2 months later and we met for the initial design, measurement and consultation at my house. Barry was very friendly and knowledgable, and he made several great suggestions to the design. Barry advised that Kirk doesn't use subcontractors and performs all of the work themselves-- I liked the idea of everything being handled in-house. His initial/rough quote was a little high but I felt Kirk would do a good job, so I went ahead and started selecting tile, quartz, a tub, and bath fixtures at the businesses he suggested-- even though they were a considerable distance from me. After repeat visits to the showrooms due to incompetent help, I met again with Barry to select the vanity and go over the final quote with my final selections. I selected a relatively inexpensive tile ($3/sq foot) and a few feet of $10/sq ft glass accent tile for my 250 square foot bathroom, so you can imagine my surprise when I saw a quote of almost $5k for the tile & its installation-- from a subcontractor. The tile alone would cost MAYBE $1,000, so how much am I paying for installation-- and why isn't KDC doing it themselves? I know the tile guys have to get paid and there is some prep and finish work, but $15/sq ft is a joke. As for the bath fixture quote-- I priced many of the exact same Delta fixtures at Lowes.com and found they were each $20 to $120 cheaper at Lowes-- and even cheaper yet online! The entire quote wasn't out of line, but I could almost redo my bathroom and kitchen for what the final cost would have been. I have no doubt that it would have been beautiful-- but I don't need beauty at that cost. I found another Angie's List premier contractor to do the job with the same materials for 30% less-- I'll let you know how that goes. The job should will be finished before Christmas.

I was extremely pleased with their work.
Description of Work: Kirk Development did a beautiful and efficient design for my workshop/man cave that I had intended to build. It was complete with drive through garage doors to allow use of the existing RV Drive. Unfortunately, I have been unable to build it due to unforseen financial circumstances, I still plan on having Kirk Development Company build this project in the future.

My neighbor was having some work done and I spoke with the man. They sent out Barry who was very nice. He assessed my needs and was prompt getting back to me. The work started as soon as I was ready. They put Nathan in charge of organising and scheduling the workmen and keeping things progressing. Great job. Kept me informed throughout and finished on time. The house looks great. My many thanks.

We couldn't be happier with the final result!!!!
Description of Work: After the Haboob in Arizona, our roof was badly damaged. After dealing with the insurance agency (which wasn't easy), we called a few places to get some estimated on our roof and patio. After a few people came and inspected our patio, it looked as though there was more damage than we thought. The insurance company was not helpful as it was not due to the weather. Kirk Development worked with us to insure everything was completed at the price we could afford.

Overall, our bathroom was done within our budget and at the time they said they would be done.
Description of Work: THe year of our house is 1973. The bathroom looked exactly like that. It was pink with old gold plated fixtures and a horrible shower. After calling around to get some quotes, we found Curt who works for Kirk Development. He was more than we could have asked for. He went over every detail with us, spent alot of time explaining our options with the budget we had (since we just bought a house, we didn't have much for remodeling), and stood by everything he said he would do. My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better experience than we got. Thank you Curt!!!!
