Kris had been servicing my HVAC for several years, and I always had the impression that he was great-very reliable, service oriented, honest, and fair. At least that is the way he always portrayed himself to be. I saw a different side of him though the last time he came several weeks ago. He was there that time because the unit kept short cycling. He told me that what I needed was a new outdoor fan motor as it was close to going out and likely would not last the summer. He quoted me a price of $565 and when my jaw dropped, he got very animated and hyper and kept repeating over and over again that he was giving me a HUGE discount and great deal and that that was the lowest price I would find anywhere GUARANTEED. He repeated that several times, emphasizing and getting louder and louder each time with the GUARANTEED, Turns out he does not stand by his "guarantees". I started calling around to get other quotes while he was replacing the motor, and when he came back and found out that I was doing that, he got extremely upset and loud, dramatic, and defensive, having what I would call a meltdown.. But calling around I found several that quoted me lower prices. I wrote a complaint by email on KB's website, and got a long phone text back from his wife, but nothing was ever done to back up or justify his price or his guarantee or to make things right with me. The last time I communicated with them to reply about which companies I had called, I got no reply, and have never heard back again. Today, another company that came highly recommended to me by a friend came, because the short cycling problem had continued ( fan motor replacement had NOT fixed the problem.)What really upset me further was that the technician today told me that what was actually needed was a new capacitor (charged me $165), and that it was absolutely NOT necessary to have replaced the fan motor, that those only need to be replaced when they blow out. Otherwise, if they are not working to capacity, they can be boosted by replacing the capacitor. He told me that that was a sales trick to sell me a new fan motor.. He also told me that if HE had replaced my outdoor fan motor, it would have cost me $275 to $375 TOPS. I am VERY upset to find out that I had been conned all this time, and I feel especially taken advantage of and as a single woman. I feel cheated and would really like a refund, but that obviously is not going to happen.. I know Kris puts on a convincing song and dance, but a word of caution. I would do some comparison shopping and get a second opinion to make sure you are really getting what you are paying for, and that you need what he says need to be done.. Horrible and costly experience.

Very pleasant service call. I appreciate he didn't want to shot-gun parts out. I will defently have him back if the unit fails again.
Description of Work: AC compressor wouldn't run. Chris arrived promptly after calling and got the unit up and running. He wasn't sure what the problem was. Did a through check out and decided not to replace any parts at this time. He didn't want to subject us to expensive repairs that he wasn't sure it would fix the unit. He's ready to come back it the unit fails again..

Kris came out and diagnosed my a/c and was prompt, professional and honest. He did not work on the unit until he reviewed the quote with me. Once I decided to get the work done it was done in a timely manner. I would recommend this company 100%!!!

He has excellent customer service and arrives when he advises he will be here. He thoroughly analysis and diagnoses the problem before moving forward. The last he came, he did not charge the additional trip charge since I was just past the 1 month warranty. He truly goes above and beyond.
Description of Work: Today he came out to diagnosis why our air conditioner was not cooling properly. He had come out previously 4 months ago as well to replace the motor on our A/C unit.

He was very good. He quoted me a price and did not charge me anything extra. He was very thorough and explained everything in detail to me.
