We bought the Living Social deal to have one room painted and never ended up having the room painted. I tried calling a month before the voucher expired and never received a call back. I then tried emailing and calling again. It was not until I got Living Social involved that he finally responded to my inquiry. Of course by this point the voucher was about to expire so we were under the wire to get on the schedule. We asked for a Saturday appointment, and tried to be flexible about even going past the voucher expiration and was told that the Saturday we wanted was unavailable. He only offered one Saturday and when I said that would be incredibly inconvenient for us, he stuck to his guns and did not extend the voucher expiration to have a more favorable day. Mind you, if he had answered when I contacted him a month ago, we could have had enough time to schedule a week day and avoided a Saturday appointment. I ultimately decided to cancel the appointment and will go back to Living Social for a refund.
Description of Work: The provider did nothing except make it difficult to redeem the voucher.

Description of Work: Used a Living Social deal to purchase painting 3 rooms. Opted to paint larger room and hallway and whatever else I could under the agreement. 3 men showed up 1 1/2 hrs late then 2 disappeared, including the guy in charge, so I had no opportunity to discuss what is probably another full room to be painted. How did they possibly expect a lone painter to paint 3 rooms in a day? The poor guy worked 8:30 to 7 and really scrambled in the end - work not as good. I would dump the company but hire the painter who did the work and give enough time to complete the job well.

We actually had a Groupon for their services. We provide the paint, they provide the labor. Called to set up the appointment. Phone rang about 15 times before I hear a mumbled, "hello". Not "Judon's painting", not "Hello, this is Jimmy." just a mumbled "hello". Wasn't sure I had the right number, but told him I had a Groupon and was trying to schedule service. He said he was busy and would call me back. He didn't, so I called back again the next day. After another mumbled "hello", I again explained who I was and what I was looking for. Again he told me he was busy and to call back in a little while and speak to their scheduler. She was courteous and professional and pleasant on the phone. We set up painting for the following Thursday. In the interim, I tore my hamstring off my hip bone and had to have surgery to reattach it, so I was in no condition to get the room ready. Because of that, we went ahead and rescheduled for the following Thursday at 9 AM. On Wednesday night, I helped my wife move all the furniture out of the way and take down everything from all our walls. We have 20 foot ceilings, and I'm on crutches, so as you can imagine, this was no easy task. Because we do have such high ceilings, I agreed to pay him double the Groupon price. Jimmy was supposed to arrive at 9 am on Thursday morning. 9 AM came and went and we finally called him at 10 am to see where he was. He mumbled that he was busy and had to reschedule. He then said, "we sent you an email." First, there was NO EMAIL sent, I've checked multiple times. Second, I don't think we even gave them our email address in the first place. Third, don't cancel on someone with an email. Have the professional courtesy to get on the phone and call. We spent many, many hours getting everything ready and to not even show up is completely unacceptable. He mumbled they would have to call us back and reschedule and then hung up. My wife has an event at our house this week, so we HAVE to get this done. The house is in complete disarray with all our furniture and wall items piled up in the middle of the rooms. We had to scramble to find another painter to get this done. He never did call back to reschedule either. Very unprofessional. My first hint should have been the way he answers the phone, but I also guess you get what you pay for. No deal here. I will not even consider using them again. If you don't want the business, just say so, but don't leave me hanging.
Description of Work: Didn't show up, so impossible to say
