Juan Carlos does landscaping work in my South Phoenix neighborhood along with a mutlitude of handyman jobs - tree trimming, trash hauling, drip line repair, block, tile, pavers, etc. All my neighbors are pleased with his work. I mentioned to him I needed the house painted and he said he could do it. We negotiated a price of $800 for his labor if I purchased the paint (I was able to get a military discount at Lowe's). I purchased 25 gallons of mostly yellow exterior stucco paint, with a few gallons of dark blue and turquoise for accent. It came to approx. $500. He started on a Monday, meticulously patching all cracks in the stucco with DAP elastic patch. He began spray painting on Tuesday, delaying a few hours till the wind died down. (Wind reduces the spray pattern.) Juan did a great job in spraying the walls and would re-spray where he thought areas needed a thicker coat. He was careful in taping the windows and arcadia doors. He sprayed the front door a turquoise blue which turned out beautifully (see foto). Juan arrived early and worked thru the afternoon. The entire job was finished by Friday. He cleaned up after himself at the end of each work day. Juan works alone although he said he calls in a friend if the job required it. I'll let the three attached fotos speak for themselves as to the result of his work. Quality job is an understatement. When it came time to pay him, I felt $800 would be shortchanging him for the excellent job he did I gave him $1200, which is still low for five days skilled labor. With the $500 I spent on paint, the entire job came to $1700. Money well spent. Juan is courteous and well spoken. The job was agreed upon with a handshake. I would recommend this Christian gentleman to paint your house in a heart beat.
Description of Work: Painted the entire stucco exterior of my 1700 sq ft Santa Fe style house including front door, upper roof edge, rear patio fascia and support beams. Juan Carlos hosed down exterior walls, patched cracks in the stucco and taped off all windows before using his spray gun. I purchased Lowe's Valspar paint, mainly yellow with two accent blues.
