Everything went fine. The guy that showed up was professional. The only hiccup was that they were suppose to come out between 12:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. and they showed up at about 6:35 p.m. and didn't notify me that they would be late.

Overall it was a very good experience. I generally like to fix things on my own if I can learn how, and it was very encouraging to have him offer his explanation to me so that in the future smaller issues wouldn't be such a big deal.
Description of Work: Came in, took a look to diagnose, replaced fuses, and showed me how my AC unit worked up on the roof. This will help if a similar problem happens in the future so i can fix minor things myself.

We bought a maintenance contract with them a year ago and it is entirely worth it. Our AC tends to die frequently in the summer. It died during the 118 degree weekend on a Sunday night. They were out within and hour, temporarily fixed it, then came back the next day to fix it. We had them back a few weeks later to do maintenance, It died again tonight (on a Saturday night) and they were out within an hour again. The problem was different from the last time, and it was covered under the maintenance agreement, so we paid nothing for what would have been a $300+ repair. It's an essential service if you live in the desert!

I purchased an Angie’s List Big Deal for this service and it was fine. I got some extra stuff so there were additional charges. The technician who came out seemed competent and seemed to know what he was talking about.

Called for service for an under performing heat pump unit. Appointment scheduled for 2-3 days after calling. Tech kept appointment right on time,added freon & cleaned Unit & checked out for proper operation. Good service, good price, on time, & pleasant technician. No phoney sales BS for unneeded overpriced work or "need new" replacement unit scam..What more can you ask for? .

This is one way of explaining that members need to be aware of so many dishonest tactics when you allow a technician into your home. We all can say we are "honest" companies but let our reputation speak for itself. This is why we enjoy resources like Angie's list to provide a place to turn for advice on who to call. Internet is a valuable source as an additional background check of a company before you pick up the phone (Better business bureau and Registrar of Contractors). We find that companies will so far as change their name to hide a less-than-perfect track record. Nevertheless, we are happy to serve you and welcome you to our family!

i called Howard Air around 300am due to my air conditioning not working and was told a tech. would call me back so i waited and heard nothing so i called them back this was at 800am and set up another appt. to come LOOK at my a/c. they replied that the tech would be there around 100pm a few hours went by and i got a phone call from howard air that they would have to change my appt to 600pm due to an a bigger job before me which is understandable so i waited again and 630 came by and i still have not heard anything so i called again and they said they would put it back in the system. i was fed up so i called another company to come out because WE HAVE NOT HAD A/C SINCE LATE THE NIGHT BEFORE i will never recommend this company to anybody nor ever call for any kind of service from them

We first would like apologize again for not getting the opportunity to service your down system until 8pm on Saturday when your initial phone call started at 3:00am to our after-hours answering service. Typically our service team can respond within a 12 hour window even this time of year. However, Saturday was a very busy day with so many homes without air conditioning we still strive to meet our 12 hour expectation. You contacted our office at 2pm to cancel your service call which can be understood but our technician still took the initiative to contact you at 8pm to ensure someone had taken care of you and could get to your home. We never like to hear a customer chose to call another company especially with how many homes we visit on a daily basis. We truly hope to have another chance to serve your home under different circumstances as we are confident in the level of service our technicians provide.

It was fine. I was not there since it was for a rental property, but the tenants said good things. I had originally thought it was just a Freon issue. I have a home warranty so I had to contact them to get it fixed. Now that they have been serviced, they are running well. He followed up with me and the tenants and provided the services he said he was going to do. He had a very fair deal and offered a couple of pounds of Freon which the other deals did not. This helped influence my choice with him. They were very responsive and they set the appointment up right away.

Office responded quickly after purchasing the coupon deal. Set up an appointment a week or so from the time we talked. Technician arrived in the time frame scheduled. I wanted to ask him about the thermostat, but he didn't really know much about it. So much for programming it. He checked the unit which is on the roof so I could not accompany him. He made a bid deal that the unit is old (10 years) and that the motor could go any day. He recommended a part (which I am not sure I needed) as the A/C was working. He tried to address the noise, but a a few minutes after he left the noise returned. I would not use this company again.

The technician that serviced your system was experienced enough to find a capacitor drawing high amps which explains a maintenance was conducted not just an inspection. The capacitor we replaced is a great find when you believe in maintenance because this part assists your system’s compressor and most homeowners will never know they have an issue until their compressor fails. A compressor is a major repair which we hope to prevent by catching smaller repairs through routine maintenance. We truly hope we have an opportunity to prove our value as a company and earn your trust in maintenance.

Upon arrival, I was informed that the summer inspection special included only 1 heat pump. They said I would have to go back online to Angie's List and purchase another special if I wanted the other unit inspected. It was noted only in the fine print and after I had made the purchase. They are highly rated on Angie's List, so I was disappointed in the apparent bait and switch. I won't be using them again.

The temperature in my house started going up on the hottest day so far this year in Phoenix. 118 degrees. By midnight, I could not get the temp below 85. At 1 a.m. in the morning, I called Howard Air on Cave Creek Road (don't confuse with another Howard Air Repair) and was actually able to leave a message with a live person. I got a call back at 6 a.m. and my air conditioner was working perfectly by noon. My husband was out of town, of course, and I was so stressed about the temp because I have saltwater fish tanks that can't survive high temperatures. The technician, Gabe, could have told me it cost ten times the amount I paid and I would have gladly paid. I have never used Howard Air before, but I totally trust them now. Gabe was professional, efficient and didn't even push me to sign up for a maintenance contract. I will ask for him in the future. Thank you!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was great. He did a great job. He did all the things that he actually do and got us ready for summer. He went above and beyond on what he needed to do. He was really good, I would recommend them.

On time. Tried to sell me a new unit, but that was expected and not out of line as my current unit does need to be replaced eventually. I just don't want to do it this year. Service took about an hour. A/C is running at it's usual efficiency now.

Purchased the discount offer via Angies list, received a receipt. contacted Howard Air and advised I had purchased the offer. I was scheduled immediately for an AM appt for the following week. I was told I would be called 30 mins in advance. On the day of the appt, I was called in advance, technician arrived 30 minutes later, check/clean out was performed in 30 minutes, and my request was completed. What a breath of fresh air....I received EXACTLY the service I was promised...I will use them again.
