Howard Air

Howard air has previously helped install a new control panel for my air conditioner and I was very impressed with their service. This visit was a pre-summer maintenance visit. Troy was the serviceman and he was great - friendly, informative and helpful. Everything you want from a service provider. He identified a problem, gave me a quote and was able to make the repair immediately. Will definitely use Howard Air in the future.

I contacted Howard Air at around Noon and told them that I found a coupon for a service call and diagnosis. The air conditioner unit was working but not blowing cold air. The person I spoke with was very helpful and was able to dispatch a tech to the house that evening. When the tech was on his way I received an e-mail with the name and picture of the tech as well as an ETA. Shortly after I received a phone call from the Tech who gave me the same information. The techs arrived I explained the issues. As I let them in the house they used booties to protect my floors from their shoes (nice touch) and were very friendly. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it. I was told the fix was "very simple". The techs were fine with contacting my husband over the phone to explain and that was nice too. The transaction was paperless and the e-mailed my receipt ect. The overall experience was great. My only complaint about the whole visit was that the fix was performed with out my ok or knowledge. I agreed and paid for a diagnosis. When the tech came to talk to me I was informed the fix was super simple then I was told it would be $91.00. I was a bit put off by "very simple" and $91.00 in the same sentence as well as the fact that they did the work without asking if I was ok with the pricing. I dont think I would have had an issue with the work but would have liked to have the choice. We will use Howard Air again but will be sure that before anything is done on the unit that we would discuss pricing and issues before ANY work is done.

System was reasonably priced & all actions explained at purchase. Installation was professional and all requirements completed as explained. Well done!

They were pretty responsive. They were on time.

Sales person came to my condo to look at old unit. Told me my options. Some retrofitting was involved due to the age of the old system. This meant some drywall was to be removed. Agreed to installation once contract was received. Installers arrived on time and felt confident leaving them alone in the condo since I have a small dog that would not have enjoyed the noise, etc. Six hours later the job was complete except for the drywall repair. There was absolutely no clean-up on my part involved. The condo looked great. A few days later someone came to tape and paint the new drywall. Can't tell anything was evver done except for the new grill that covers the filter.

Tuned up 2 of three units. Suggested additional needed repairs. Replaced contactors. Sealed air handler leaks.

I will look to Howard Air for any A/C service as they were so honest and thorough.

Two men came and did the work for 10 his. But the prep work done by scott bird we the key to a successful job. He took pies of items on roof and duct work in attic so when the young men came to do the work they already knew exactly what was to be done.

I wanted to replace my 12 yr old "builders special" heat pump before it failed me. I had the luxury to research firms and products. I zeroed in on Howard Air due to its very high number of very satisfied customers on Angies List, Yelp and an A+ from the BBB. I'm not a "newby" when it comes to renovations and contractors. All I can say is Howard Air met its stated high standards100%. They obviously run a simple business. They tell you what something costs, provides you with all available rebates, discounts, a fantastic financing program WITHOUT you asking. They say when they are coming and how the installation day will go. They videoed my then current system so they were prepared when they arrived. Their installers are all long-term established employees of Howard. They do their job, test it and explain it to you. They don't leave until you say its ok. They broom-sweep the area, carting away all garbage. Within a few days a painter comes to patch any areas (in my case crawl area hatch way ) to look as if a giant air handler new and old never passed through this hatchway. I got the system I wanted installed expertly and am totally satisfied.

I originally purchased this unit from Howard Air in 2007. I have never had anything close to a negative from this company. Their office personnel are terrific the service techs are professional, courteous and helpful. Each time I use them for a checkup (once/year) their techs are just really great. This tech turned me on to a new ladder I had never seen, called the Xtend and Climb. I just had to get one for myself. The service techs for Howard Air always do their job exceptionally and share the results. I will definitely use Howard Air in the future for an Heating or Air Conditioning needs.

Kyle & Terrence came early and worked hard all day. Did a fantastic job installing new HVAC. Cleaned up mess & hauled away old HVAC & trash.

We just moved into our new house and had never noticed that the blower was located in the hall near the foyer/living room. When the air came on.......it was LOUD!! I thought a plane was landing in the other room. I found Howard Air on Angie's List and asked them to come out and check it out. We had Scott Bird devise a plan to make it quieter which included replacing the blower and one of the units and checking the ducts/vents. They arrived at 6:30 am and were done by 5:00 pm. Everyone was wonderful, professional, very nice and we couldn't be happier! We can barely hear anything now....I can hardly believe the difference! I would definitely recommend Howard Air and we will continue to use them as long as we live in AZ. You guys are great.....Scott, Gary and Paul.....Thanks!!!

Incredible. The tech took pictures before and after and spoke about all options. My unit is an original installed industrial Trane. While not energy efficient the option was install new and cost in 2-4K range. At the time I could not afford. The unit runs well through this day! Howard Air ROCKS!

They came when they were suppose to, they did the work they were suppose to and it worked out well. I think they were here a couple of days afterwards to the purchase date. The cost came to $600 when they were completed. I would tell others that I had no complaints, so that's a good thing. I would use them again. I used them because they were on Angie's List. The price was fair. They always have arranged times that they can come.

When we purchased our home early in 2014, we had been informed by the home inspector that our HVAC system was over 15 years old and that we should expect to replace it in the future. During a recent cold snap, we needed warm air, but found our system would not function (glad this didn't happen when we needed the AC this past summer!). Howard Airwas called (they kindly bumped up our previously scheduled maintenance visit) and Bryan, our usual tech confirmed that our system was in need of expensive repairs (confirmed by competing bids we received over the next two days by other HVAC companies) or replacement. Bryan made arrangements for Scott Bird, a senior HVAC consultant to visit our home & provide a detailed analysis & presentation. Scott arrived the next day and at the conclusion of his thorough inspection of our HVAC, roof & attic, gave us a detailed presentation of our options. Scott (he has an engineering background) answered each of our questions and concerns. We decided not waste further money on an 18 yearold system and went with a replacement. We received bids from a total of 3 HVAC companies and chose Howard Air as they best provided the best overall option for us. Scott also had one of their techs to provide emergency repairs (free of charge) to our old HVAC so we had heat until the new unit could be installed several days later. The day of the install, the lead tech Kyle (courteous, professional) did an outstanding job with the rest of his team during the entire process. Wereceived a text and email with his photo and estimated (right on time) arrival. They expertly removed our old HVAC and installed the new one with a huge crane (they were careful and did not damage our palm trees or roof) and carefully cleaned up when finished. Kyle also provided etailed instructions (a booklet was included) on our new thermostat. We are very satisfied with the way Howard Air professionally resolved our HVAC issue from beginning to end. Special thanks to Scott & Bryan (you guys Rock!), Kyle (friendly & professional) and Amber (thanks for everything!) and also the emergency tech (that guy was great and I'membarrassed I cannot recall his name.) at Howard Air!

It was fine. We have two air conditioning units and it covered only one of them. I wasn't aware of it when we bought it. They came out and tried to up-sell which I don't really like. They could have clarified how many units we have.
