Don't hire just any HVAC contractor Trying to hire a quality HVAC company takes time. Between phone calls, meetings, research, and quotes, a lot of your valuable time is taken away. When my 20 year old HVAC started to fail, I made exhaustive phone calls, researched reporting bureau's, contacted Arizona Registrar of Contractors, and spoke with a dozen contractors. I was so glad, after all my hard work I came across Scott, with "Howard Air" Scott was professional in every sense of the word. Scott came out to my residence, gave my AC Unit and Duct work a thorough inspection, and provided me with a written estimate of the work that needed to be completed. My experience with "Howard Air" was exceptional, from my estimate to the completion of the job. On the day of my installation The entire team was very professional and addressed all our concerns. They made sure every precaution was taken to keep my home clean. The technicians were professional, knowledgeable, and kept me informed on their progress. They did a great job installing the unit. I highly recommend "Howard Air " if you want quality craftsmanship for your HVAC project.

During this dificult times we were concerned about having people in the house. The entire team was very professional and addressed all our concerns. They did a great job installing the unit. The office, sales person and installation team were a real pleasure to work with. The price and warranty they offered was good. We interviewed 4 companies. Will definitely use them again because we have another unit that will probably need to be replaced in the near future.

Howard Air did an excellent job with completely replacing the 20-year-old HVAC system in our condo. Right from the beginning they never attempted to give us the hard sell for a system that was bigger than the one we needed. The installation crew was very experienced, thorough and neat. As always, nothing ever goes according to plan. Due to gas pipes and sprinkler system constraints the installation crew had bypass the normal attic hatch access and go through the kitchen ceiling. Their experience allowed them to just roll with the sudden change and still complete the installation of the new Trane unit in 1 day as planned. Within a few days, Howard Air’s dry wall person was out to patch the ceiling. He matched the textured ceiling perfectly. Our installation required subsequent services calls for tuning and the installation of a new cold air return. Everything was handled to our complete satisfaction. All of Howard Air’s personnel that we worked with were very polite and professional. We continue to have a sense of confidence that we chose the right company to handle this massive effort. We would highly recommend Howard Air to those in need.

Great. We have been using Howard Air since we moved to Arizona in 2011. Great people and honest.

We had Howard Air install a ductless mini-split AC system in our garage. I am generously giving it three stars, since the work appears to be of good quality so far. Unfortunately, it has taken them many visits more, and a FULL MONTH longer, than expected. Some of that was due to changes to Mitsubishi's product, and much of it was due to poor communication and coordination among Howard Air people. The upshot for us is that we've had to rearrange our schedules for several weeks to accommodate many more days of workers in our home than expected, and I've been without the use of the garage workshop for a month, during a peak time of expected use. Now that the project is finally nearing completion the seasons have changed! To add to my irritation, I'm having to now spend a LOT of time cleaning up after their work. They have left a coating of fine white powder (from drywall) over EVERYTHING in our garage. I'm having to individually clean every wrench, screwdriver, cord, battery, hinge, drawer handle, nail, glove, rubber mat, etc. etc. by hand. Thousands of items to move out, clean and move back in. It's wearing on my nerves, and on my air compressor! I'll probably never get it all.

We got back from a trip and found the A/C compressor would not stay active for more than a few minutes. I called after 9pm left my information with their answering service. Promptly after 7am the next day I got a call from Veronica to schedule my appointment, She got me someone to come in the afternoon. Miguel came in, inspected the A/C unit and found the capacitors had been damaged by either the recent thunderstorm or the power outage that came with it (or both). The high voltage electrical wires were also a bit "toasty". He recommended the proper repairs and had the unit back up and running in less than an hour (from arrival). Price was well within the expectation. Have had nothing but good experiences with Howard Air.

I scheduled an in-home estimate in PV. About 40 minutes past the appointment time, no one showed up, so I sent an e-mail asking when the salesperson was coming. The e-mail prompted a telephone call from Howard Air about 45 minutes after my appointment time. The woman who called apologized as she forgot to call and inform me that the sales person was running late. She said a consultant would stop by my location in about 1.25 hours. The consultant never showed. So, 2.5 hours past the appointment time no ever shows. I texted the lady who called me and told her to cancel the apt and that I would not be rescheduling. She responded by saying that should could have someone come by in another 1.5 hours. Wow. Needless to say, I did not responds as I HATE when someone wastes my time.

The work went well and the technician was great. Only issue was getting pictures sent. Took too many emails to obtain the photos taken during the visit.

It went very well, he taped up some wires with some minor chew marks and vacuumed out the AC unit. I also had some insulation that the rodents chewed into which he didn’t recommend replacing because its only purpose is to dampen sound. He was very honest about what needed what did not need repair.

Right from the start, things went so smoothly. Our sales representative, Scott, was upfront, honest and professional. He provided us great information and got us the right system for our home without pushing expensive equipment on us. He gave us a clear outline of how the process would go. A few days before installation we received an email clearly outlining how everything would go. The install team called ahead so we knew just when they would get here. They explained the process and answered questions to put us at ease. They were professional and respectful throughout it all, explained everything once they were done and left the house as clean as when they got here. We highly recommend them for any and all AC needs!

This was our first experience with Howard Air. Being new to the area, we wanted to establish a relationship with an HVAC company for regular maintenance and service. The 18-year-old HVAC system in our condo was in need of the thorough inspection and cleaning. Jordan arrived within the scheduled appointment window and executed his checklist; documenting all of the necessary measurements. He then reviewed his findings with us and indicated that our HVAC unit was in good shape. Jordan was extremely sensitive about not making a mess. Everything was neat and clean when he left. He was very polite and professional. Jordan left us with a sense of confidence that we had chosen the right company. We would highly recommend Howard Air to those in need.

Great installation from the team and attention to detail to ensure all worked appropriately.

Tanner was my sales technician. He came to the house and did a very thorough examination and was very good at listening to my thoughts and concerns. He was on time and very professional and asked a lot of questions. Howard Air was my 5th quote from a major A/C company as I knew this was going to be an enormous expense. I had taken about 8 months doing research on all the companies that were highly recommended. Tanner wrote a fair proposal and was flexible with a few items. I went with Howard out of the 5 companies because I felt like they were not trying to up-sell me or use scare tactics to gain my business. I checked them out on BBB, AZ license and their insurance coverage. The install was effortless and painless and done by Howard long term employees. 6 men showed up for a Saturday install of 2 rather complex units - one heat pump had to go in a tight space in the attic of the master closet. But they padded and protected everything (even the stairway) and were professional and very helpful. I have to say, I usually do not expect above average customer service anymore, so everyone from Howard, including team on the phone scheduling everything, was a delight to work with. They finished the job before 3 pm and left my house neat and clean. And everything written in the contract was delivered - I felt like they really cared about getting it right. Making sure a job is done correctly and exceeds expectations should be #relationship goals for all companies, but we all know that is rarely the case. Howard Air did just that. I will recommend Howard to all of my neighbors without hesitation. They have earned a customer for life.
