Description of Work: I had an execellant experience with Howard Air from the quick response to my intial call (same day quote) and the process to and procedure fromt he team that did the install. I would recommend Howard Air to anyone who needs a new AC systeminstalled professionally and with great customer service. The entire team was respectful of my house, family and time and gave regular updates through out the process as to what they had accomplished and what effort was still left to be done - they did a great job with communication which on a long install job i s very important.

Description of Work: Recently had Howard Air at my home for the summer tune-up of my Trane Air Conditioner. The professionalism of the company was apparent when answering the door. The technician was well groomed in a service type uniform and their truck provided advertising of the business by looking well maintained and clean. I was very impressed with the service they provided. Their technician was very knowledgeable and did a thorough inspection and servicing of my unit. Howard Air demonstrated a very professional company by their first impression and the service they provided in their service call.

Description of Work: Because I had used Howard Air many years ago for my business, I was familiar with the company. Now I wanted to have my residential heat pump checked before the heat of summer---and because it had not been done professionally for a long time. I used the summer tune-up coupon found on "Angie's List". The technician was prompt, professional, and courteously explained everything to my satisfaction. He did not try to "sell" me anything, but I did purchase a warrantee. Glad I did, because late one recent weekend night, something did not sound right. The tech who came out was also prompt, professional, and courteous. He checked the unit and waited until everything was working correctly and I was comfortable, patiently answering my numerous questions. Again, absolutely no high pressure sales tactics were used. And the service charge was nominal---because of the contract I had purchased before. Highly satisfied!

Excellent.
Description of Work: We were considering installing an evaporative cooler. Forrest was honest with us and gave us excellent advise, and offer better alternatives including improving the efficiency of our current a/c system or replacing it with a better performing unit. We will use them when we need any HVAC work done.

Description of Work: I thought my heater had a problem. During operation, the AC would intermittently turn on. I called Howard Air. They immediately (over the phone) told me that this was a normal mode of operation on electric furnaces and stated that I didn't really have an issue. They recommended an inspection for $65 just to make sure. I accepted. Once there, technician Dennis stated that everything was in great shape and made two recommendations. These were recommendations not threats of gloom and doom. One was a repair to the drain mast and two service maintenance visits; for a total of three jobs. They cost a little over $100 each and seemed sensible to me. Once again, this was a no-pressure type of approach and I was so well impressed with Dennis (and Ray over the phone) that I accepted the offer. I recommend these guys. Top notch service.

Description of Work: They tried to over charge me once and then apologized and corrected the issue. This was in ordering parts that they had actually gave me in writing the prior visit. Then charged me a ton more when they came to install., A/c unit bags. The last time they lied and replaced a new thermostat when the problem was a simple 15.00 fuse. This also left a big hole in my wall (where they installed a new cheap little piece of junk new thermostat...which they charged me 168.50 which was a 30.00 replacement) ..The system still didn't work... and required another a/c professional to come and fix . Now I have to put in a new decent thermostat that works like my old one , since he took my old one...or and use this piece of crap and fix the drywall and repaint my wall. They are dis-honest and take advantage. Would not refer them again.

Description of Work: Just as earlier in the year, they once again did an excellent job. Had my house heat and air balanced by Howard a few months ago. While painting the interior of my house the painter reinstalled the previously adjusted vents into the incorrect duct outlets. Howard came to my rescue and made fast work of completely readjusting all my vents and re-balancing the system. Yes, I will use them again and I do recommend them.

Description of Work: I called late in the afternoon after discovering that the blower on my A/c had gone out. I was told a technician would be out at 7:00 am the next morning. At 7:00am the technician was at my door. He was efficient and tried to complete the job in the most cost-efficient way possible considering I had no A/C in phoenix in July. New parts were ordered, picked up and installed all before noon of the same day. I would highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: A/C, heat, checkup. They found a A/C drain in the attic that was almost clogged. If this check up was not preformed, I would have had a huge mess.

The installation of two condensation safety switches will ensure you do not have to worry about the condensation lines being restricted and over filling your pan to the point of water spilling out on to your attic floor or worse, your insulation!
