Description of Work: Service call to make sure A/C was in working order. All went well. The tech did not leave a check sheet with the results of the testing. My past service providers left such a list. Tech said it would be mailed. When it did not arrive, I called the office. She said that they would mail it. Never arrived. It is a small thing, but shows that they don't really care about customers.

The reason the first visit was focused on the "replacement" of your system was because you were scheduled with a Comfort Consultant. This is based on your initial phone call to Howard Air in which we evaluated your needs of replacement with notes of you already having a "quote" from another company. We were unaware your expectations were to have a Technician visit your home. Although, after this visit we determined you were interested in "repair" not "replace" in which we immediately scheduled a Technician to diagnose the necessary repairs. At Howard Air we take pride in our installations and educate customers on the major difference in "repairing" a system versus "installing" a new system. They require two separate set of skill sets and for this we separate the two departments including the individuals that partner with you. We truly hope this misunderstanding will not deter you from calling on us in the future. Thank you again for the opportunity.

Description of Work: Purchased a Big Deal for Spring/Summer A/C Tune-Up. According to ad they were to contact us within 2 days. That did not happen and I can only assume the reason being they were overwhelmed with purchases for this deal. Once the appt was made the tech showed up on time, was very pleasant, performed the tasks per the deal, cleaned the unit and made minimal recommendations without pressure. A very pleasant experience.

Description of Work: Howard Air performed an A/C tune up on my old 5 ton unit. The tech was very friendly, knowledgable, and he performed the most work I've ever had done with a tune-up service. He explained what needed attention and provided an estimate in case I wanted to have additional work performed. I explained to him that I still had home warranty coverage, but I would definitely call them if I need A/C work after my warranty expires. The only negative was that the office never informed me that the tech would arrive in a window of 1-5pm, and I had taken off work early thinking he would arrive close to the 2pm appointment I requested. He didn't arrive until 5pm. Overall, I was very satisfied with the service!

Description of Work: We were needing 3 lbs refrigerant. We were charged $229.50 for it. We needed the evaporator coil cleaned at 109.26. Lastly, we had a condensate overflow safety switch installed at 114.31 for a total of $476.48 beyond our initial Angie's List payment of $69. Are we in the ballpark of prices?? We didn't know but it seemed high compared to our KS costs. |His recommendations made sense and were very professionally done. No clean up necessary afterwards.
