Howard Air

They arrived on time for both the sales estimate and the two days it took to install the units. They had no problem accommodating my work and school schedules. They cleaned up. They were very careful to not let my dog out by accident. They were quiet and polite.

I live in one state and have a rental in Phoenix. The tenant called because the heat wouldn't come on. I checked Angie's List, called Howard Air and they came right out, fixed the problem, accepted my credit card for payment and everything and everyone is happy.

Showed up on time, worked diligently, and were finished in one day!

We paid a few hundred more with Howard Air than we might have with comparable quotes from other vendors. (We had four companies provide us with estimates.) It was money extremely well spent! Their sales rep was great. He exceeded our expectations in that he was on time to every appointment as well as very forthright. (They didn't give us the usual "I'll be there between 8 and noon deal. He said he's be there at 9am, and he was there at 9am.) There install crew was prompt and efficient and cleaned up after themselves. They were all professional. The new unit has been great. We did have a fuse blow the first day the unit was in. I called over at 6pm and by 6:30pm we had a repairman on site and had the problem resolved by 6:45pm. Excellent service all around. I would gladly do business with them again.

They were a very good company to deal with before and after the job was complete. The finished the job as promised and they followed up with us afterwards to make sure that everything was working correctly. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

They are fast and efficient with their work and they are very thorough. We never need them to come out to redo anything. I don't remember the cost of their service, but it was reasonable and I would recommend this company.

The guys at Howard were really good guys. It was a very hot day and they worked very hard all day. I am very happy with my unit. The salesman was really nice to. I had asked him about some other things and he would tell me oh you do not need that right now. That is not something you usually hear from a salesman. He was really nice. They were all professional and everything too. It did take a little longer than they said, but, when I looked out the window there was not one time that no one was working. They were non stop.

I called to have my A/C checked when I smelled an electrical smell coming from the vents. Someone was sent out within 4 hours (I received a call when he was on the way). The technician explained everything to me, including the reason the fan needed to be replaced (drain tubes installed improperly caused water to drain back toward the unit, eventually rusting it).

Great, but they did not give me the 10% Angie's List coupon discount and I forgot to ask about.

The inspection was done by Shane on 6/26 and I never heard from them again. Even after 7 phone calls, and messages (recorded AND in person), I got no response from Kyle, who is the pricing guy. I even had April tell me she would personally talk to him and call me one way or another within 2 hours, with no response. So, a month later and we still don't have a adequate cooling system in our office.

Kirk seemed very honest and straight forward which is a refreshing change from the shysters I have dealt with in the past from other companies. Here in Arizona, the A/C companies have us by the B**ls and they know it. It is appreciated that the cost of a service call is presented up front without the old bait & switch maneuver of some crook charging you 50 bucks to come out here so he can find a bunch of stuff wrong and feed you a line of BS and make it sound like you better do what he says. This is a VERY common ploy in Phoenix and you don't get that with this company. He did a maintenance check while he was here even though it was a Sunday emergency call, reassured me that everything else was acceptable, and offered suggestions to improve the efficiency of the unit. They also offer a service plan which I plan to take advantage of because I already trust them, which is a first since I have lived in AZ. VERY professional.

Great! Took less time than anticipated. Crew was excellent in explaining operation and maintenance. Great job of clean up.

This co was one of 5 I called all of them top listed on Angie's List. Mike Carroll came to our house, measured the house, examined the heat pump and the air handler & provided a very complete & competitive estimate. While their company is located in the North Phoenix area they were more then willing to visit us in the east valley. While we did not select this company, I would recommend this company to anyone asking about replacing their A/C system

We were just having a check up on our unit, but it was a good chance to check out a company that we had not used before. We will probably need to replace our unit in the near future and would definitely use Howard Air after our recent experience. The technician was knowledgeable, helpful and just very nice. Our 8 year old unit is a builder's grade piece of junk and has always been extremely noisy. The technician noticed this and did a few things to it and now it is so quiet - we no longer have an airplane in the backyard. He said the unit is working fine now, but could see that the fan will probably be the next thing to go and gave some good recommendations regarding that. This was a much better experience than we have had using other AC service companies.

FANTASTIC!! Incredibly professional with superb customer service. They were even attentive to cleaning up when done and not disturbing my kids while napping. They even sent out a large team to get the work done fast. Completely thrilled with their work and have been very satisfied with their service calls over several years (maintenance calls, not repair). Ten plus on a 10 point scale, and I am EXTREMELY tough on most companies.

The technician arrived at 7:00 AM as promised. He focused in on the finding the source of the electrical odor that was still present when he arrived. Both blowers were working fine and he did a complete service on the two AC units. When he was finished he located the source of the odor which was a burned out wall switch to a ceiling fan. He located and turned off the circuit breaker to that room until we replaced the switch.

Everything with Howard Air went very well from the initial estimate to the final check of systems. We called a family friend who has a HVAC business in Florida an had him review the estimate. He confirmed that we were given a very fair price and in addition, we had no problem using the $150 Angie's list coupon. The salesperson informed me of a $250 APS rebate that I was eligible for due to my purchase, and made sure I got the appropriate forms and documents to take advantage of that. The installers were on time, professional, courteous, and cat friendly ( a BIG plus!) We are very happy with the ultra-quiet system we have and look forward to the lower electric bills. Both the installers and sales rep showed us how to program the new thermostat. I highly recommend this company.

Bruce was a very nice person and was very personable. Great work!

They were prompt, we were without heat and they came quickly, gave us a good price, and I can not recommend them enough. They gave us temporary heating for a week. They even handled the financing.

Tech did not give an estimate for the replacement of the fan motor. When I called to get an estimate, I did not receive a call back.

Here are my problems: 1)I was never told I would be charged $85 for someone to look inside my cooler. Had I been, I would have said thanks, but no thanks. 2) That amount does not go at all toward the cost of repair. 3)New belts are easy to install and cost $15.

Overall very good. Salesman was very knowledgeable and installation technicians were very professional, clean, and courteous.

Our technician was wonderful and not only efficiently corrected our problem, but also took the time to explain what caused it and how we could prevent it in the future. He was on time, extremely polite and very reasonably priced. We've used many service companies in our 20 years owning a home and this was absolutely the best customer service we have ever received.

They were great! They fit us into the schedule the same day. The service technician, Shane, was very courteous, professional and personable! Excellent company and I would highly recommend!

I selected Howard Air based primarily on its positive listing with Angie's list. They came to my residence twice, once to diagnose a problem, the other to repair it. Both reperesentatives were on time, polite and professional. The office staff were very reliable in terms of scheculding and reminder calls. Overall a great experience.
