I would recommend them. We had a positive experience. The agent was good. He worked with us on short notice. They need pre approval letter before meeting but he was fine to meet us right away. In weekends we bought the house. He wasn't pushy. He gave his opinion. He was pretty flexible with timing. He was great. I did like him.
Description of Work: I used Highland Realty for real estate agents. We bought a house from them.

I would highly recommend Highland Realty. I was referred to Phillip Geretti (he owns/started Highland Realty) by a colleague who knew him personally. He told me that Phillip had grown up in Phoenix and really knew the area well. The HIghland Realty office was even located right in the area where we wanted to live (Central / North Central Phoenix). We had been in contact with another realtor who never seemed to answer his phone and would not send us any listings online until he received the pre-approval letter from our loan company. He also wouldn't agree to meet with us to show us houses until he received the pre-approval letter, making it seem as if he didn't believe we knew our price range until the loan company approved it. We were very pressed for time in buying a house, having only 2 or 3 weekends to make a decision, so this was irritating. So we called Phillip and he answered on the first call, immediately asked us lots of questions about what we were looking for and sent us lots of listings via email to get us started. He was available the whole next day to show my husband and me houses. He never asked us once about the pre-approval letter and said he didn't even need it until we found a house and wanted to make an offer. Since we're not from the area, we needed his guidance on which neighborhoods were good. He was happy to provide advice, but was not pushy with his opinions. He was friendly and enthusiastic from the start and was happy to show us as many houses as we had energy to see. He was able to provide insight on the potential of different houses we looked at (we're not that creative). He did not try to "sell" us on any houses, but instead let us form our own opinions on each one we saw. We found a house on our second trip to Phoenix (really just our second day actually visiting houses) and we made an offer. Phillip was great in dealing with the seller's agent, keeping us informed on all the progress. We were able to get the house for $12,000 less than the asking price, plus an additional $4000 in closing costs. We were happy. We had some trouble with the inspection, delaying closing date by a week, but Phillip made sure he knew what was going on the whole time and stayed on top the loan company and seller's agent to make sure everything was moving forward. Phillip met us for our closing, delaying his departure for his own family vacation by half a day. On his way home from the signing, he decided to stop by the house one more time to make sure everything looked good (which he definitely did not have to do). He noticed some termite tunnels in the laundry room that we had not seen before and immediately contacted the seller's agent about it. The seller agreed to have the entire house treated for termites, even after the date that we took possession since the tunnels was not caught before, and they obviously existed before we signed. Phillip checked back in with us a few times after we moved in to make sure everything in the house was working well and even came over on a Saturday afternoon to help us with a leaky pipe (and by help, I mean he replaced it while we watched; we're not very handy). He gave us a very nice housewarming gift was well. We would definitely recommend Highland Realty to anyone looking for a home in Phoenix. We have already referred a few friends to them. We had a very good experience.
Description of Work: We used Highland Realty to buy a house in the North Central Phoenix area. I cannot comment on the price paid, since we were the buyers and the realtor's commission was paid from the sale, not from us.
