Description of Work: Thank goodness for Will Dahlberg of Hazlett AND that we got him just as he returned from vacation! (see why in next paragraph). He was here from N. Phoenix within 24 hours w/ no add "trip" or travel charge. | |Wil was very patient w/ our less-than-4 year-old heavy duty stainless tub washing machine. We thought we bought a mechanical, not electronic, specifically avoiding the former (not top-top-of-the-line but neither is it a low end contractor model). Whirlpool is sneaky, they hide the electronic board behind the "mechanical" dials. | |After NOT exhibiting "go-to" issues listed tecinhnician troubleshooting booklet (concealed deep under bottom frame) nor responding with a diagnostic code, when plugged back in it wouldn't re-set itself, but kept grinding. He got it going again & while waiting for an entire cycle to run, got pricing for what he suspected in case that proved to be the issue. In the end he did not charge us for the time over the first hour and suggested continuing to use it until the glitch happens again. If/when that happens i will wait a week for Will if he can't get to us right away! | |Over a week later washer is doing two loads a day just fine, no issues. Would definitely recommend Hazelett. No walls banged up and no mess on the laundry room floor either. | |Caveat re Angies List providers: Washer had quit on a drain/spin cycle 10pm, spent morning of 19th checking repair reviews for Whirpool on Google, Yelp & Angie's List of which we have been members almost one year. As in the past when looking for yard or home services, usually want family-owned small business, not corporate call centers, but have found SEVERAL on AL who list Chandler area but no longer come here! We aren't even in Ocotillo/South Chandler but very accessible from I-10, 101 or 202 nearer to Tempe. Even w/ Angies List, due diligence is more than just choosing the most positively rated service. We read up on AL vendor reviews as well as Google & Yelp before choosing.

Description of Work: Our washer stopped draining water mid-cycle, so we had standing water in the washer (front loading LG washer, about 7 years old). I called a couple of places, but when I spoke to Will, a technician from Hazelett, he was the most reasonable in terms of the cost, and stated that he could be out to fix it the next day. He came on time. He was friendly, and he told me what the problem was and how he was going to fix it. He was right, and he had the part with him already and fixed it within one hour. He charged me WAY less than other companies quoted me over the phone. |This happened at the beginning of March, and it is now the end of July, so almost 5 months ago, and the washer has never had any problems since he fixed it. He was punctual, professional, skilled, and cheaper than the rest. I couldn't ask for anything more, seriously. I would ABSOLUTELY called Will from Hazelett Appliance for any other needs in the future. Great experience.

Description of Work: We have a built-in 48" Thermador side-by-side refrigerator. It was manufactured in 1998 and had a number of issues due to misuse by the previous homeowners: the refrigerator door and the freezer door each had broken door stops so the doors would swing wide open causing damage to the doors and counters. Will (owner and repairman) did a great job chasing down the parts we needed and did a great job installing them. This repaired the refrigerator. The repairs were expensive due to the cost of parts - not his fees.

Will gave me his professional opinion about my particular situation, and the reliability of appliance brands in general.

Description of Work: The ice maker on my Kitchen Aid refridgerator was leaking water. I called Hazelette in the morning, they came out in the afternoon. I needed a new ice maker and the tech installed one in 30 minutes. Very happy with the service, Will use again.
