Hays was very responsive and very prompt. I would have given them a straight A on all matters, since they were also dedicated to handling the problem. On Friday (early April) they sent a fellow who worked for 2 hours but could not clear the line. Curiously he arrived with only one cutter for the 2-cutter rooter. He said his boss would come early Saturday to continue. Ian worked hard for about 2 hours - a very personable guy. We talked nearly the whole time. He came with both cutter blades. The clogged was cleared. The free photo inspection ran into a block so the camera could not go all the way. Ian said there was likely another block and he couldn't warranty the work. He recommended hydro pressure. But he did not come with the hydro pressure equipment so that would have to be scheduled next week. Since the water was flowing well, I decided to postpone that. The flow has been fine ever since - I did not purchase the hydro treatment - about $400. Instead I bought a Roebic root treatment for $18 on Amazon and applied that in July. Thus far there have been no problems. The company worked the pricing with integrity, and offered me some discounts in addition to the one I asked for. So, overall, excellent experience, at a fine price, but with a couple of oddities. I would use them again.

I requested service to install a new gas hose from the gas line in the wall to the gas dryer. I wanted to move the dryer and the current 54" hose was too short. A 72" hose was needed. This was made clear when scheduling the appointment. The technician arrived and did not have the gas hose. He gave my wife an estimate of $155 to move the gas line (not install a longer gas hose), and another estimate of $75 to install 2 washer hoses (this was not part of my initial request). Total estimate of $230. In order to save money, I purchased the 72" gas hose and the 2 washer hoses. I then rescheduled the appointment to install the 72" gas hose. The technician installed the gas hose and the 2 washer hoses. He charged my wife $200. The next time my wife used the dryer, it did not work. The air was cold so the clothes did not dry properly. Upon examining the gas line it had been left in gas line closed position. When turning on the gas line, we smelled gas; and called Hays Plumbing. I asked if the technician had tested the line for gas leaks and was told "yes". I did not trust the technician to come back and test for gas leaks so I called another plumber who tested the gas line. He confirmed that our smelling gas was correct; and adjusted / tightened the connection to stop the leak. The dryer works fine now and there is no gas leak. Unfortunately, I had to pay the second plumber because Hays did not do the job right the first time.

Very easy project. Contractor showed up on time, replaced the outside hose connection quickly and professionally, and cleaned up thoroughly.

I bought a big deal for this service and it worked out very well. The guy came promptly, fixed it very quickly and it looks great. They came about a week after I called them which was when I had scheduled it because it was convenient for me as well. The guy that came was courteous and came when he said he was going to come. He got the job done quickly and did a good job. It looks nice. Plumbing usually is pretty expensive. Their price seems fairly reasonable to me for coming out, taking out all that and putting in a solid brass unit. I thought he did a quality job and came out in no time.

They were great. They came out a couple weeks ago. It worked out very well, it was a very good job, it wasn't as easy a job as they thought it would be but they did it well and it works fine now and it's nice having it fixed. They did the job in 45 minutes to an hour. There were no unexpected issues.

It worked out fine. They were on time. They handled the job efficiently. They stood by the deal. They were courteous and professional. They pretty much met my expectations. It was not leaking. We were able to have a hose connected to the faucet without losing any water which was the main reason we had it done. There were no surprises.

Boyd came in gave me his card. He got to work on the kitchen sink. He cleared the clog very quick. He told me all the services they provide as a company and I was very impressed. He was very nice and polite. I recommend having Boyd come out for any needs. I will ask to have him out if I ever need any services again. He was so professional.

The tech, Ian, was knowledgable and diligent, had a problem removing the old valves but figured it out and replaced the valves. He also assisted me with a tub spout that I had replaced but was leaking. After he left, he said if I had a problem to call him, which I did about a half-hour later. He tried to help me over the phone and when it was not working, he returned to the property on his way home and found the spout I had purchased was defective and to return and replace it, which I did the next day and it works perfectly, no leaks. I called the company a couple of days later to inform them about Ian and his attention to detail and his helpfulness and stated I would use him and the company again. Well, I have a need today and I called and requested Ian and he is coming out to inspect my problem. I was very impressed with the work I had done and I look forward to an equally good job for this issue and future issues.

They came out to my home and discovered that the issue was not the faucet but the hose. They let me know I did not need to replace the faucet. They were delightful.

This was great. I purchased a special on outside faucet replacement (which I have needed for years). Everything was top notch starting with the delightful woman who answered the phone and finalized my appointment. The appointment offered was in two hour increments, 11am-1pm for me, not just am or pm and I was called just to let me know the serviceman was on his way. The serviceman was polite and courteous in addition to knowing his profession well and is an asset to Hays Plumbing. I will be keeping their name on my short list.

We purchased the special deal through Angie's List and Ian Bentley was sent to our home to change out 3 of our shut-off valves, as they had frozen and needed to be replaced. Hays Plumbing called to confirm and told us that Ian will be our service tech and that he will call us when he is approximately 30 minutes out. Ian was right on time, extremely polite, knowledgeable and efficient. In addition to completing installing the valves, we asked him about replacing the handle in our shower, as it is one in which we can't change the pressure - it's only a turn valve for hot and cold.. He took a picture of what we presently have and said he would get back to us as soon as he had a price, as the tile needed to be cut and there would be some dry walling involved, going through a closet that was behind the shower. Ian called us back that afternoon with a price for completing the entire job. We were so impressed with his follow-through and getting all the information needed to complete this project. We will, however, have to hold off on doing this, but will definitely call them in the future for any plumbing needs we might have. In addition, we will absolutely be asking for Ian to be our service tech.

Work went very well, with no detriments. Crew, with lead technician, Rich, was fast, did a very nice job, and all in a very quick time. At the start, they all introduced themselves, were friendly, and when the job was complete, the owner, Chris, came and inspected the work. Very nice team and company which I have used in the past.

We've used Hays in other houses. Hays is not the cheapest, but we go back for the overall value. They are highly professional, prompt, and offer great service before and after the sale. I trust them, and they do high quality work. They do the job right, so it lasts for years. Highly recommended.

.We needed a new hot water heater, they came over shortly after we called (after we tried calling four other companies), they were able to pick up a new hot water heater the same day, we also commented that it took a long time for hot water to get to the shower and they recommended and installed a hot water circulating pump...they checked the soft water system too and found a salt bridge that was causing it not to work and they fixed that too. I would highly recommend this company, great work, very professional and the price was very competitive.
