This was a major project doing an entire remodel inside the home and I wanted to make sure the process went really well from start to finish. For me it was really important when looking for a contractor that they had some good online reviews, and that communication was going to be easy during the process. Too many times you hire someone and then after you sign the contract everything changes as different people are involved. This was not the case here. Working with Allen and his team we were able to get a really good idea on the timeline and the pricing and after all was finished we were right on target. No surprises. For a project this size thats a really good thing. Not only would I recommend Handyman Connection, I would go out of my way to make sure I use them next time for anything else I needed. Keep up the good work guys!

Made an appointment and they showed up on time. They inspected the windows and called to inform me of their findings. They were able to reseal the windows on the same visit.The reason that I did not rate the quality of the work is that I was not able to inspect it because it was on the 2nd floor. I was happy with the professionalism of the employee.

This company cannot be trusted. Over the phone I was told it would be around $90. When the worker arrived, I was told $129. Once I got the invoice, it said $154 minus my Angi'es List coupon for $25, and still ended up with a $129 bill. Make sure to get a quote. A huge percentage above what I was quoted. I will not be using this company again. Dirty business.

Jonathon called from Lowes and picked up the lumber and sealant needed for the install. He arrived at the excepted time and was ready to go. First order was to assemble the door awning, which didn't have very good directions, but we were able to get it assembled (it really needed 2 people to assemble). Then he cut the 1x4 pieces of lumber and proceeded to find the wall studs through the stucco, by finding them from the inside drywall. This is a difficult thing to do as you really don't know where they are exactly (too bad someone doesn't have a portable x-ray machine to look inside the wall). It took some trial and error but he was able to find 4 studs in which to attach the 1x4's to, to which the awning would be attached. The awning was a bit awkward and it was good to have 2 people to install it. Then he worked on the rotted and damaged door trim. He removed the trim to a previous joint, then fabricated an identical piece to fit in it's place. That came out really nice. He then sealed up all the joints, including under the door threshold and around the 1x4 and the fabricated wood piece. My wife painted all the wood while I was at work, after letting the sealant dry for 24 hours, and it came out nice Really happy with the work done, the price seemed reasonable and would recommend Handyman Connection and Jonathon again.

Every thing went well we were very happy. However the price was somewhat high.

Professional, courteous and skilled

Dave was on time and replaced the two faucets as well as installed new supply lines and angle valves. Everything looks great and he left the area clean.

Painter was good. Prompt and professional and the job well performed. Dealing with handyman connection however, was one mess after another. Billed for TWO JOBS. BUT THEY ONLY DID ONE. Then they WANTED TO COME OUT AND SEE ROOM AND GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE. WHEN I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR THE ONE ACCENt WALL,! Then they wanted me TO SEND PIX. THEN THEY SENT ME TWO DIFFERENT DATES THAT THEY'D DO THE WORK --and sent both messages on the same day! WOULD DEFINITELY NOT USE THEM AGAIN.

Provider arrived a bit late because he got lost trying to find my house. Not a big deal. He assessed the problem, called his supervisor, and immediately told me that the repair would cost more than the price I had paid for the Angies List coupon. It would now cost an extra $110 on top of the $225 I had already paid. I have run into this a few times with various contractors (not always with Angies List, but other coupon companies). This, in my opinion, is somewhat of a bait and switch tactic, At this point, there's not much you can do but agree to the price hike just to get the job done. It took literally ALL DAY. I asked before he began if he would be back the next day to finish since in my past experience with drywall, the mud would have to dry between coats and before sanding and painting. He said no, that this was a quick drying process. Hmmm...the work was finally finished late in the afternoon with just one coat of paint. It didn't match the rest of the ceiling, either because it was not the correct color (not the contractors fault) or because the ceiling had not been painted for 2 or 3 years. Either way, we both agreed that it did not look great. We will now have to paint the entire ceiling. Time will tell if the rush between mud coats, sanding, and painting will hold up. My main complaint is that they did not honor their price. This was not a gigantic hole that I was trying to get them to fix for $225. I will be wary from now on about buying these types of coupons without getting a guarantee that they WILL indeed honor the stated price first.

NEVER SHOWED UP!!!!!!!!!! Someone called and said their guy called in sick again @ 8:30 - they could get out in two or three weeks. NO WAY - NEVER AGAIN. I had to miss an hour of work and no show, no call, NO BUSINESS from me EVER!!!!!!!!!!

Avoid Handyman Connection. I hired them to replace a 3x10 foot section of drywall which had been damaged by water leaking through the wall. They quoted $1200, which seemed excessive, but I agreed. Then I checked with a few other companies and they quoted $500. I called to ask for the breakdown. They said they would call back in 30 minutes, but never did. Instead, I am woken up at 6:45AM the next morning to inform me that there is instead going to be an additional materials charge. They then call back at 9:20AM to say the materials charge will be $250 dollars. Why 6:45? Its not like they were at the store and needed my approval to buy materials. I felt they were just `playing games'. At this point I cut bait and asked how much to not do any work. Apparently that costs $375, so I am out $375, but its better that $1500. Of course, then I found out that they had taken a can of my paint the previous day without permission. They returned it eventually, but it took 3 more calls and 10 days.

Like so many others, we were extremely pleased with this service. Jonathan was the professional sent to address the many jobs - small and large - that were needed to prepare our rental house for the new tenant. He was professional, courteous and extremely competent. When there was any question as to how we should proceed on a given issue, his suggestions were always directed toward saving us money while still addressing the problem in the best way possible. He worked efficiently and, because we were extremely pressed for time, when he realized that he could start the job earlier than scheduled, he did so. The painting cost us $905, including a $50 Angie's List discount. The various jobs cost $410, also including a $50 Angie's List discount. We will definitely use this service again and will request Jonathan.

One of the repairs was behind the toilet and the other, was more accessible. Dave showed up on time, cleaned up the work space well, professional and the dry wall looks great. He also told me what I didn't know - which was to prime the area that was repaired prior to painting. I would have used the paint and primer combo. I'm very happy and he quoted me for some additional work I needed.

He showed up exactly on time and completed the job in a reasonable amount of time. He gave me a few options on how I'd like the job done so I was able to choose exactly what I wanted.

The gentleman was on time and immediately went to work. He installed the disposal that we had purchased and determined it was defective. Although I offered to go and get it exchanged at the home improvement store he said he would go. Upon his return he then installed the new disposal which worked perfectly. We appreciated his working with us and completing the job in a professional manner.

Work was very professional, especially the skip trowel or Santa Fe lathe work. The paint was matched perfectly; the interior wall was built using 16 inches on center 2 by 4's, with insulation inserted between the two sheets of dry wall. The work area was cleaned up each evening. This job took 3 days by one person who was skilled in all aspects of the job. I could not be happier. The price was very competitive when compared to the other written quotes I received. I purchased all the material.

David told me that to install the disposal that it will cost an extra $90.00 He is very nice and very honest. He told me I would have to put a new drainage.

I can't say enough good things about Dave, the handyman who did our work, pleasant, hardworking, knowledgeable. Of course, not everything went as planned. When Dave removed the old sink and faucet, he discovered the leaking valve. No problem, he had one in his truck. However, since the other valve was just as old, we asked him to replace it too. He drove to Home Depot and got one and replaced them both. We were charged only for the part. After Dave carried the old sink out to his truck, he installed the new faucet on the new sink and tried to drop it in. The hole was not standard. Dave went over our choices: have someone recut the granite and he would come back and finish the job or put the old sink back with the new faucet. Since there is nothing wrong with the sink, except that I hate it, he installed the new faucet on it and put it back in the countertop. Next he did a beautiful job caulking the master bath shower. When he was ready to leave, I asked him to look at the front door and tell me if it could fixed by just adjusting the plate or should it be replaced. He said it could be fixed and "would I like him to do it?" I said "Sure" And he did, with no extra charge. We were completely pleased and satisfied with each of the nice people we dealt with at Handyman Connection.

It was quick and easy to make the appointment with Handyman Connection. They were able to schedule the appointment within 1-2 days of my call. Jonathan, who did the home visit to make the repair was very professional. He contacted me the evening before the scheduled appointment to discuss the appointment time and called en route the day of the appointment. After looking at the area needing repair, he wrote up an agreement describing the work and the cost. The cost was much less than I had anticipated. He finished the work in the timeframe that he had estimated. The work looks great and there was absolutely no mess of any kind when he was finished. Jonathan was also kind enough to take a few minutes to answer questions about future home renovations that i am planning. I am very pleased and will be calling Jonathan at Handyman Connection for my future home repair and remodeling projects.

great job. he noted that the old faucet was rusted in. then he went to home depot to get another fitting and installed it. I only paid for the new fitting. nothing for the time he took to go out and get one.

Ron was the ultimate professional! He was on time, finished the job quickly and it looked great!

The repair person John was prompt and courteous. He put in extra reinforcement to prevent the hatch door from falling again. The work took about 2 hours and John assessed that new framing would not be necessary and was able to make it secure it with the existing wood. This saved me extra expence.

Called for appt. and was offered an appointment for next day at a time that worked for me. Received email with the assigned worker, Jay's photograph. Jay had finished his previous appointment ahead of time and he called me to see if he could come early. I said yes. Jay arrived and gave an estimate of $90 and we accepted. After he started work, he realized that a plastic bearing had broke and needed to be replaced. Jay went to the store and purchased a higher quality metal bearing. He worked hard to fix the proble. I was only charged for the original quote plus the $16 for the new part. Very happy with their professionalism and quality work. I will use them again.
