Handy/Home Advisor

Not good. Not good at all. The first problem I have with booking was the time frame that was set without informing me that regardless of if the job was complete, she would leave, finished or unfinished. She worked 3 hours and got half the house done and it was adequate at best. There was cleaning residue on my bathroom wall that was left, the toilet water was still dirty, no garbages were taken out (she left the trash bag next to the garbage can in the kitchen). She did not empty the bathroom garbages at all. They were still full under the sinks. I don’t think it’s a huge mystery where most bathroom garbages are kept. All she had to do was open one cupboard. I did not think this was a task that had to be specified in the request. I made it very clear, twice, to customer service the size, number of bedrooms & bathrooms that needed work and that I did not want a second cancellation for this project. The first time I scheduled, the girl cancelled 2 hours before she was supposed to show up and I had left work early to be home. I do not understand how you allow such lazy miscommunication to occur within your app. I do not like that there was a set time frame for work. I believe if you are going to commit to a job, you should complete it until the agreed upon project is complete. My landscaper doesn’t leave my yard half done. The pet groomer doesn’t half cut/groom my dog. I certainly wouldn’t do a half job for my clients, so it is confounding to me that this is even acceptable work practice on Angi’s list of all places. My “pro” said she worked for Handy, which was contracted through Home Advisor. How do they allow this work ethic or conduct to occur with their hired “pros”. I am wildly disappointed in the overall experience here and dissatisfied with the half-done work that was displayed. She did not do the following rooms: Kitchen – the most important room of a house with most use and high traffic; front living room; dining room, laundry room. She did not mop either of the bathroom floors and she stole my Windex. She told me she forgot her bottle at the last house and asked to use mine. Of course I said yes. When she left, I could not find it anywhere. Windex is cheap and replacing the bottle has nothing to do with cost. It has everything to do with integrity and work ethic. I will not be using your services, or the contracted services of Handy or Home Advisor.
