I can not say enough great things about Hackney's Heating & Cooling LLC! Drew Hackney came highly recommended to me today by at least 5 different people and I can see why! He's amazing and I am so appreciative to him getting out to my mothers house today. She's all the way out in Maricopa and a few companies that I reached out to didn't even service out there. Her house was close to 90 degrees which is scary when you're in your 70's this time of year. She is now happily sitting in a cool home. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!

Very prompt response for both estimate and actual work. A crane was needed to move units from and to the roof. Drew took care of all permits and the installation was completed in just one day, including all cleanup. We are very pleased with this job, We definitely recommend Hackney for this type of work.

Given that this was due to a faulty installation, requiring exactly the same part to be reinstalled as a replacement, I told the the current repairman I didn't believe that my parents should have to pay for this repair. The repairman suggested the bill would be approximately $250. I was shocked to receive a bill for more than $1000 and a note the company would place a lein if the bill was not paid. After my father spoke to Drew Hackney, the owner, the bill was reduced to $600. I believe any charge to be excessive, but $600 for replacing an identical part within 6 mo is outragous. It seems money, not customer satisfaction, drives this company.

Went great for the first few years. Issues were dealt with in a timely manner under the warranty. Then, last season we had a compressor and several other parts go out. Hackney came out and "repaired" them. Little did I know that when they last repaired it, more damage to the unit was done. Suction line is kinked in several places, insulation is burned away where they welded a new dryer on, incorrect piston installed in evaporator. Other AC company estimated $775.00 to repair just the damage done and even then he's not sure if it will work properly. When it gets hot, that is above 90 degrees out, unit will not cool the house any lower than 79 or 80 degrees. Called them on a Sunday 2 weeks ago, paid 125.00 for emergency service all to have the tech say it was working fine and there was nothing he could do (other AC company can't figure out how he got accurate readings from a kinked suction side) Called them again on Monday, other tech came out, said the pressure was too high and bled some freon out. Things got worse instead of better. Again, how could he get an accurate reading. Posted a bad review on FB figuring they'd do what most companies do and say, we're sorry, how can we make this right. Nope told me they didn't want to service my unit anymore and I was welcome to find another company. Then they blocked me. Subsequent phone calls to them to have Drew Jr. call me have gone unanswered. Messages sent along with pics of the damage haven't generated a response. So basically, as long as you pay them and don't complain, you're ok. When you're really PO'd for such lousy service, they don't honor their labor warranties and blow you off. If they make this right, I'll be happy. I'd like to think this is the job performed by 1 unskilled tech and not the whole company. A phone call and some service is all that's needed to make this right. We'll see I guess.

Technicians were inept. Purposely damaged my unit (I have photos) then refused to fix my unit. After that, the owner refused to take my phone calls and blocked my number. Filed a complaint with the BBB and he threatened to sue me for defamation etc. Don't go with these people. The father, who owned the company when I had them install the AC 6 years before was great. Then he moved and left the business to his son who is lousy at customer service. Had to buy a whole new ac unit from someone else with 4 years left on the warranty.

They scheduled for 11-1. Having heard nothing I called at 12:30 to confirm. Man said the tech was at another address for another 15 minutes and I was next. Did not hear anything until Tech showed up at 1:45. I had someplace to be so I cancelled.

Install went well and the shut down for 2015 but I have yet been able to talk to owners son about being told they would not service again. This is really bad business practice and not to return calls if unforgivable. I bought from them because I believed what owners son said.....they were not the least expensive but I bought the hype that he told me. Have called the office over 23 times trying to get a call back.

Hackney really goes the extra mile. I contacted them when I needed a new system for my home and service for my rental units. They were promt, efficient and responsive every time. I will never use any one else. I find they always have the best prices and seem to really care about their customers.

The dispatcher was pleasant and very knowledgeable. We agreed in an appointment time, which was honored. The technician was totally professional and courteous. He wasted no time getting to the diagnosis and correction of the problem. He also did a competent review of both of our Lennox systems and explained his work while presenting the bill. We have used this company for over ten years and have always been most impressed with all aspects of their service.

the A/C service was completed in a timely manner but the fan wiring connections were left outside the A/C cabinet on the top of the unit. The wiring connections were not sealed with silicon to prevent water intrusion. They charged $270 for a fan motor and $105 per hour (2 hours labor) which seems very steep to me. They had previously replaced a small combustion fan motor and switch assembly on the gas heating system combined with this A/C unit and charged $462. I can't believe these are competitive prices for parts and labor..

I didn't have to pay anything because they installed a new air conditioner a year ago and I am still having problems with the condenser pan drainage. They weren't punctual but they did call and say that they weren't going to make it on time.

Tech was unprepared as battery missing from key ac compressor tester and tech said can only reliably test AC compressor in Summer. I don't know if this is true or not. We purchased new contactor and controller as per tech's sales pitch and results of other tested numbers. Requested detailed printout of specific parts and services reccommended and reason why, i.e. testing specs vs. norms and got a canned printout of Hackney limitied warranty verbiage and NOT the information I asked for to support my buying decision. Not sure if the printout is the tech's issue or Hackney company requiring Tech's use of poor customer focused communication tools. Tech was prompt and came out quickly for first call and install call once one part was purchased remotely for our unit. Paid about $60 for the checkup part of the job.

Still waiting on SRP rebate form. Other than that I am very happy with service and tips on getting more out of my AC

There was one person that showed up to do the work. He was on time. The A/C worked after he was done so I guess he did a good job. He was professional and nice. He asked me where the unit was and then went right to work.
