George Brazil Air Conditioning & Heating

They were very good. I have a maintenance contract with them. They come out twice a year. They are courteous, prompt and very efficient. The hailstorm removed my air-conditioning, so I purchased a new air-conditioning system from him. He is prompt and he really is good.

They are very professional, have clean uniforms, prompt and cleaned after themselves. The problem is that they sold me A/C units that are very noisy and never told me about this before the sale. Also the installers installed the air handler coils upside down, after being in the attic almost all day doing the installation. This required them to rework the installation. The units are working well though, just noisier than most.

When they came out in December he had to go through master bedroom closet. They got insulation all over our clothing. The gentleman that came went up into attic and was on cell phone whole time talking about a date with Pam and left a mess when he left. When they were coming back this time, thought it’d be someone from a local office. Called previously during the week to set up appointment but I hadn’t gotten back to them so they showed up unannounced on Saturday. He came in an unmarked truck, not the George Brazil Home Services truck. My son was home and said he knocked very loudly and actually may have damaged our door. He showed up unannounced with no equipment or anything.

It went good. If you buy like a two year annual service contract it is cheap and I got three years and every year they would come twice a year and do an inspection and therefore it was cheaper. They are very professional, on time, and honest. There is nothing need to be done they say and everything is perfect considering the first time I had him come out here I had just bought this house and I didn't know anything and they could have said anything needs to be replaced and I would have had no idea, but they were very honest.

They were very professional and did a good job and for several prepaid check up times. We were very happy and impressed with them. The technician they sent were friendly and knowledgeable and did their job efficiently.

We had had George Brazil come out in 2011 to fix a broken solenoid on our HVAC system, and were impressed with the service so I bought a one year service contract. In May of 2012 I noticed one of our two AC units seemed slightly noisier than the other. I had George Brazil come out to inspect it (while I was out of town on business). The technician looked at the unit and told my wife that because the unit was a R-22 refrigerant unit instead of the new R-410a units it was illegal to fix it and the unit would probably stop working in the next couple of weeks. (I subsequently found out it is not illegal to repair R-22 units and the refrigerant can be used and recharged until 2020 - According to the EPA.) He gave us a price for two new units installed of almost $17,000. My wife called me, and I called the technician and got the same run around about not being able to fix the unit (he wouldn't even tell me what, if anything was wrong with the unit) just kept pressing to replace them now since they would stop working shortly and it would be harder and more expensive to fix in June. I said no, called and left a message with George Brazil's office about my displeasure, and was told somebody would get back to me. No one ever called me back, and the AC that they told us was going to "break any day now" is still working fine. I will never us them again.

I was satisfied with the service. They will come to switch you over from heating to cool in the spring and then come to switch you over from cool to heat in the fall. I thought they charged a little more for services than other companies do. They were a little bit high on the price.

Had a new Ruud HVAC system installed in Feb 2013. System provides excellent heat but it was noisy, especially upon startup. Called G Brazil. They came out promptly and installed a hard-start kit and ordered a compressor blanket. The blanket isn't usually provided on the model I bought but they provided it no charge. Blanket was back-ordered but they installed it as soon as they received it (~2 wks). Both the kit and the blanket have helped. It's still louder than I'd like but certainly tolerable. George Brazil has been very responsive and has gone beyond my expectations. I chose the Ruud because of space limitations in my yard. The only thing I would change with my experience with this company is to have had the salesman warn me about the noise factor. I might have sacrificed a little room for a quieter unit. Overall though, this company has been a pleasure to work with.

Bought 3 units for 2 properties. 1 unit NO problems. 1 unit repeat calls for water leaks. Had BRAND new roof put on prior to the HVAC. No leaks before George Brazil install. 3rd unit:- 1st call Coolant leak due to pipes rubbing together. covered under warranty. 2nd call - replaced faulty breaker at unit. covered under warranty. 3rd call coolant leak pipes rubbing together. Cost $528.78 Labor NOT covered. warranty only covers parts at this time. $528.78 to fix leak and refill coolant. Unit only 2.5 years old. Kicker. George Brazil inspected this unit only 28 days prior and didn't notice pipes rubbing against one another. Not sure what they do when they do inspections, but apparently it isn't very much. If he would've removed the panel he was supposed to remove, he would've notice the pipes touching and made the necessary correction at that time. These units are "Tranes". Perhaps not the best choice. After writing a letter, I was contacted and the matter was resolved. My faith in Geoge Brazil has been restored.

Their service was good. It was a little bit of high pressure sales and that comes with the territory. Overall, they did a great job.

I have had lots of estimates and they were probably one of the cheapest. They were good, but I had some problems after the installation but they did come back. I like them pretty much but I didn't like the installers. I have them come out twice a year. I would continue to use them.

Installers were very professional and very clean. Took lots of time to do the job right. Listened carefully to my needs for placing the condenser such that both my tortoise and I would have access to the back section of my yard. (The space between house and wall is narrow.) These guys were considerate and meticulous!

They have always been punctual and professional. They call ahead to let me know they are on their way with an estimated arrival time. It seems like the service has gotten better over the years. Each service man has gone beyond the minimum of just a checkup without added expense to me. They upgraded the condensate drain, improved the inlet filter hold down frame etc.

They provided an estimate for one of my rental homes for air conditioning repair.

The serviceman brought to my attention a wrong part that had been previously installed by another company, which gave me the information I needed to have the other company correct their mistake. This potentially saved me a significant amouint of money.

We installed a new system. They come every fall and spring and it s for three years. I was very satisfied with their work, customer service and professionalism. They explained what they did and if anything was wrong they took care of it. Their price was bit higher.

They actually saved us money. We liked their response and their prices.

As the result of the October, 2010 hailstorm we obtained a number of estimates on repairing or replacing our heatpump unit. It was severely damaged and at an age when making repairs, if possible, would not be a logical thing to do. As the result of talking in person with the numerous companies we contacted, we decided to choose George Brazil to do the work. Everything turned out fine and we were very happy with every part of it (and it was approved by our insurance company as well.) About a week after the installation two men arrived to do a quality inspection, to be certain the unit was both installed correctly and operating as it should (it was). Since then there have been routine service visits on a scheduled basis, and they were all done professionally and satisfactorily. All in all, we feel we made a good choice and wouldn't change a thing.

Overall every service call have had has gone fine.

I signed up with them for 3 years to do maintenance for us so we don't have to pay them anything until the contract runs out. They are very good. They are prompt and are very cordial. They are nice people to talk to and they usually give you a little advice on how to run it. They are very nice. I am very satisfied with them.
