George Brazil Air Conditioning & Heating

I called George Brazil on June 10th, to service my air conditioner. They had someone out there on June 11th. The delay was on my part, I could not be home on June 10th, otherwise a technician would have been there the same day. Michael my technician discovered a leak, repaired everything and recharged my unit within 2.5 hours. I will say that I am a "VIP" customer and it does cost extra for that extra special service. ( I actually became a VIP, when I bought my new a.c. unit from them) But considering it's 110 degrees in Arizona right now, it was worth the money. My unit is under warranty, which resulted in a free service call, repair and parts. In the past I've used George Brazil, for plumbing and repairing my previous air conditioning unit. Prior to becoming a VIP customer, they've always looked out for me and made certain I was always happy and content with their service.

Checked various parts of the system and found no problem. Had small 2 and 1/2 ton AC so simply took awhile to cool down the small home in these 100+ Surprise area temps. Tech was competent and professional. Recommended and we will use again.

I called to make an appointment and was greeted by someone friendly. She asked if I had home warranty and I stated that I did. She informed me that before I make an appointment to contact my warranty company and make sure I wasn't doing something I shouldn't. I thought that was great!! I called back to make the appointment and again the person was pleasant. The technician arrived a little early (which I love) and began working right away. Upon completion he explained what he did, what he saw and what he recommended to do. He did push their maintenance contract a little more than I would have liked but he was very nice about it. All in all I would call them back and would have no issues recommending to friends.

We called the office @ 4 pm and they were at our house by 5 pm. He had our air conditioner fixed with in 10 mins. We are very pleased with the service. We will use them again.

For the past couple of years, I've used whatever coupon services were available to do my fall heater tune-up and spring ac tune-up. This was my first time with George Brazil and I would absolutely use them again. The tech was prompt and called about 10 minutes in advance of arriving. He not only took apart and cleaned the unit (indoors and out), but also climbed up in the attic space to check the depth of insulation and check for leaks in the air distribution system (nobody else has EVER done that with a discount coupon!) . The receipt he left for me included all kinds of tech numbers on pressures, etc. By far, the most thorough and professional ac service person I've used in the past many years.

When we bought our house we hired George Brazil to come take a look at our AC unit that was leaking water into our home. They came out and fixed the problem and sold us a 1 year warranty that came with a free service call for like $250. We called them to come do our free checkup about a year later and the guy found more stuff wrong, or some parts that needed to be cleaned to work properly. we paid about $160 for that and another 1 year warranty plan. The guy told my wife he would take before and after pictures to show us what he was talking about but he never did. The high price and the pressure of the techs to sign another 1 year warranty are reasons i will not be using them again. Our AC unit has worked great though, no complaints. I just have no way to verify if what they are saying needs to be done REALLY needs to be done. **UPDATE** Vinny, their service manager called me after reading my review and went above and beyond in customer service. It seems there was a misunderstanding between myself and their tech that the coils that needed to be cleaned were included in our service call and what we paid for was a renewal of our service call plan. The tech did not do a great job of making that clear, and made it seem like cleaning the coils would cost such and such amount but if we renewed the plan it would be less $$ that way. At any rate, Vinny apologized and said the techs are continually going through training to make sure they are more clear. He offered me a full refund and said we still have 1 more service left from our original warranty plan. They will be coming out in April for a tune up. Vinny helped restore my trust in George Brazil and showed me that they really value taking care of their customers!

They are prompt and always call ahead to schedule the appointment. When I had an issue, they came out right away to repair it. I have been happy with their service.

Was very happy with the price but I would make sure you have another bid before purchasing. The crew was punctual, however, they sent the wrong base for the unit to sit on so there was a couple hour delay for the work to begin. I'm not aware if it was measured wrong or if they sent the wrong piece. Once the new piece arrived the work began.

From start to finish they were professional, courteous, and punctual. I am an absentee owner, (my son lives in the house) and it just could not have gone any better!

They did a good job it went very well. They were very informative on cleaning and how to keep the filters clean.

The unit in attic developed a moisture overflow issue which the technicians failed to service over a period of service calls and the result was a damaged ceiling. Took weeks to resolve even with George Brazil personally involved. I would not use this firm again.

They were very professional and honest. I have used them before.

Recently they called me regarding my biannual service. When the technician, Tom, came out I had them service two units that weren’t under warranty. There was a problem with one of the units and we discussed prices and they did the work. We also verbally discussed a five-year warranty, but then I contacted them to cancel the service plan that I indented to buy because I couldn’t actually do it. I paid for the repair work which was $480, but they continue to send me an invoice for the five-year warranty cost. I called, texted, emailed, and even faxed them and spoke to individuals at the company in billing and member services and told them that I do not want the warranty but they just keep ignoring me and sending me a bill. I never signed a warranty contract. I am really unhappy. This experience with the billing has been so negative that I am considering hiring an attorney. In terms of servicing my units they would be an ‘A’, but in terms of follow-through and professionalism they would be an ‘F’.

Initially, I was surprised by the price but the workmanship was great. George Brazil has since reached out to us, and gave a full refund for the service. We are very pleased his work and costumer service in this situation.

We had an A/C emergency and called George Brazil. They came, on a weekend late afternoon, and fixed the problem within 4 hours of the first call. It went very well for us.

It went great. They came in significantly cheaper than Howard Air with a better unit. The comfort consultant was friendly and knowledgeable. The install team was also friendly and well organized. The install went much faster than I was expecting. I would highly recommend George Brazil services in the east valley.

I pointed out the wall outlet that was faulty --a concern since a refrigerator was connected to it. I thought it was a serious problem because I didn't expect an outlet to simply fail after years of service. Ten minutes and one new outlet later, I had a bill for $355.63....$146.91 to replace a $3 outlet and $189.56 to troubleshoot. (There was a poor connection on the outlet.) The technician was courteous and knowledgable, but I don't know how he can sleep at night.

I needed an emergency a/c repair on Sunday, June 30, 2013. I Googled and this company came up first so I called their service and explained what I needed. I was told I would have a call back within 45 minutes to an hour. This is one of the hottest days of the year and my thermostat was fried. I waited 90 minutes and called another company. This company didn't even have the decency to call back to say they were busy, I realize it is summer in Phoenix and they are likely slammed, but the other company I called was responsive and got back to me in the time frame they promised. It is now 3 days later and I still never received a call. Not a good way to earn new business.

OK but that is all they did, No clean out leaves or any thing. Tried to sell us new unit as ours may go out sometime. Working at 95 % efficiency. Not a reason for us to replace it yet.

They are honest and the price is competitive. They clean up after themselves and I feel very comfortable with them.

Their service was good, and they seemed truthful.

They seemed very professional. The fellow that came out and did the air conditioning unit, just came & introduced him whenever he came for the work. He stayed there until he was done and made sure it worked. I didn't do any comparison shopping. I had a little interaction with them before and I liked their service people. The price was fair.

They were always on time and they did what we expected them to do. They treated us like we were people. They did not push us around and tell us that we had to do this and you have to put that in. they did good.

George Brazil Home Services' office staff and in-field staff are very well trained, courteous, and I've had great service with them. Their price is middle of the road but they keep their staff qualified and up-to-date with things which is important. They are bonded and insured and that's important. I will continue using George Brazil Home Services.
