The came out to troubleshoot and told me it was a DISH issue, DISH came out and changed all equipment and the problem still occurs. Called Geek Squad and they want to charge me again to come out. Why would I pay them twice when they didn't do anything the first visit. Never again!
Description of Work: Blamed satellite connection.

When after two weeks we had not seen the points hit our account, we called Best Buy's customer service. It took 3 attempst to get through to talk to someone. We were told that we would not be getting the points because the purchase had been posted with their 18 month financing optionis was not something we requested. I acknowdge that the recipt notes this arrangement, however, at the time of the purchase nothing was said about going with this option nor the lose of the Reward points. I inform the Rep that this was not something we asked for nor want and they said it could be fixed. We were then transferred to another Rep and he said "no we can't change it and there's nothing I can do about it." I sent my complaint by email and got a "Thank You" for using their Rewards program. I re-sent an email and let them know that they'd missed the point and reiterated my complaint of not asking for nor wanting my purchase on their 18 month plan. The response was "sorry, I'll turn this over to management" who'll get bact to you shortly. That was a week ago and we've heard nothing. We are very disappointed in Best Buy's lack of concern of their customers' satifaction. To be told by one associate that a problem can be easily fixed. than told by another that nothing can be done about it is unacceptable. Management's approch seems to be to just ignore the problem and it will go away
Description of Work: On 1/3/14 we recieved an email from Best Buy. letting us know of a rewards deal that was available on only the 1/3 and 1/4/14. Their Rewards program was offering 5Xs the points for each dollar spent. Normally, the rewards at 1 for 1. We decided that this would be a good time to get our Kindle Fire so we went to Best Buy and wound up buying twp Kindle Fire HDX. We also purchased two year warrantys for each, plus Covers. The total purchasce came to $1,164.92 plus tax. .

I have been pretty well pleased with their service. They help me out. I have a service contract with them so they don't charge for individual calls.
Description of Work: I call The Geek Squad whenever I have problems with the computer because I am not very tech savvy. I last used them to get my computer and printer communicating because they are wireless.

He didn't charge us anything to put the film on. We would definitely go back to them. They were very friendly and very nice people. They didn't try to sell us anything. They saw what we needed and they took care of us. We were really appreciative and we would go back.
Description of Work: We bought a tablet computer and wanted to have film put on it so we took it to Best Buy to have the film put on it.

They were the greatest. The sales guy was really very helpful. He did not try to sell me anything I did not want or need. The guys who came to install everything couldn’t have been nicer. They took their time. They answered all of my questions.
Description of Work: I went to Best Buy to purchase an entertainment center. I also ended up buying a TV, Bluray, cabinet, and wii.

I spent about $100 for their service. The job was done poorly. I was not given an explanation of the result. I did not have anything better than when the work started. They did not fix the problem, but I don’t think they made it worse. I will not use them again in the future.

The service was excellent. The repairman got right to work. He told me what he found and proceeded to correct the problem with my software. This was a plesant experience.
Description of Work: Sometime this year my laptop became very slow. I was frustrated with trying to clean it up myself.

I ended up speaking to 5 different techs, some were better than others in terms of being cordial. It took a little longer than I expected. I would still say that Geek Squad is a good company for computer problems and would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: My computer was running slow, Geek Squad ran a diagnostic and found I had a virus. They ran several anti viruses and the work took several hours. The entire work was done remotely from where they are.

The Geek Squad from Best Buy is very professional and did a great job. I've had no problems since. They are very knowledgeable and right on time. They explained the things that they did and were very pleasant.
Description of Work: They came to my house and worked on 2 of my computers. They cleaned both hard drives, did on site networking, added anti-spyware, and installed the wireless router, optimization and other numerous things.

I BROUGHT MY NONFUNCTIONAL COMPUTER TO THE GEEK SQUAD FOR DIAGNOSIS. THEY QUICKLY DETERMINED THAT MY PROBLEMS WERE RELATED TO A VIRUS ATTACK & SOLVED THE PROBLEM BY BACKING UP MY FILES & INSTALLING THE NECESSARY SOFTWARE AFTER REINSTALLING WINDOWS XP.
