 + -1 moreThey are a very nice small firm, they have been around several years and I found them to be very helpful. They are courteous and took care of me right away. They offer great customer service and are knowledgeable in their field of work. They were recommmended to me by an electrician I know.
Description of Work: I went into their store and took in a couple lights I haven't turned on in a long time. They inspected the lights and wiring and didn't charge me anything for it.

Description of Work: French Electric fixed two of our Pottery Barn lamps that had previously been fixed by another lamp repair company in town. They determined that the previous company didn't actually replace the switch mechanism, which was why the piece failed again.

 + 0 moreI took in a Pottery Barn floor lamp (that arcs over to hang down above the reading area) because it keeps falling apart, the light bulb / shade coming loose from the rest. We have tried to screw it back together multiple times, but it just falls apart again. The guy at French (I should know his name because I see him every time I go in there, but I don't) knew how to remove parts and angle the hinge part of the lamp in a way that allowed him to firmly tighten the joint that was loose. It took him 5-10 minutes -- no charge!
Description of Work: French Lighting does lamp repair for a flat $20 fee. They have fixed several lamps for us in the past, repairing electrical shorts, hardware, etc. The one I took today was fixed before my eyes at no charge. We have also bought wall sconces & bathroom mirror lights there, plus specialty light bulbs that are not widely available elsewhere.

Description of Work: You can always count on great service with everyone that works here its like a family .Any questions you have having to do with products or just simple questions they are there to help and will always call you back if they don't have an answer for you right away .Also the hours they are open are also great .I have and will continue to go there as I have for years.You have a lamp that needs to be rewired ,they will do it for you .

 + 1 moreI asked Mr. Lidington which timer product would be appropriate for my needs. e explained the products and pointed out the one that fit my purchase and why it was the appropriate one. He also explained how it worked and how it would be professional installed which I greatly appreciated. I purchased it and have been very pleased with its operation in saving me money.
Description of Work: French (Retail) Electric is a small, independently owned and operated business that sells both lighting and an amazing array of electrical products. They also supply many contractors from this location. It has been rare that I have not been able to find an item there to meet my needs, especially small specialty items. I have purchased a number of items at the store, but recently purchased a replacement electrical hot water timer to improve my energy efficiency. The store personnel create a family-type feeling and are most helpful, even if they might not stock the item you are looking for.
