This company is notorious for unethical business practices. They provide a price quote and require full payment upfront. However, on the first day of work, they claim it will cost an additional 70% due to "uneven floors." They exploit the elderly, as they did with my parents, delivering poor-quality work. Please, stay away from this company. Channel 12 News is currently investigating its unethical practices. Do not hire this company. There sales rep Philip Ward and Amanda in the office are behind this Ponzi Scheme. They allege that our disclaimer indicates we bear no responsibility for problems arising from underlayment not installed by us or the state of existing floor coverings. The sales representative did not communicate this to my elderly parents. After removing the five-year-old carpet, they contacted my parents and demanded an additional $7,600 on top of the $14,000 already paid. This tactic is unethical and preys on vulnerable individuals. If they were upfront about these conditions, they wouldn't attract business. I strongly advise avoiding this company.

I recently had our bedroom floor changed from carpet to Laminate flooring with Express Flooring. Our sales associate was Correy Hoffman. Correy was a friendly person and was able to give me a quote that seemed reasonable when compared to similar quotes, so I decided to go with Express Flooring. The price was $2389.81, I paid $200 up front and was told my installation was going to be the next day, 11/7/23 between 0800-1200. I specifically asked about moving our furniture since I have an articulated bed and home gym that are both very heavy. I am a Retired Navy Disabled Veteran with multiple Back and Neck surgeries, along with being 5 weeks out of a knee replacement so the last thing I wanted to do is move furniture. .Correy told me the special that is running is free furniture moving and we just needed to move our small stuff and Knick knacks. On the morning of the installation, the doorbell rings and there is a man at my door that spoke no English showing me his card from Express Flooring. I did not realize at first that he did not speak or understand English until he took out his phone to use his translator to tell me he knows no English. I asked when the rest of the crew was coming only to find out he was it. I still cannot believe a company as large as Express Flooring would send one person to a job and that one person could not speak or understand me or my wife, absolutely the most unprofessional experience I have ever had! ! I immediately called Correy, our salesperson, to tell him there was no way this guy could move our furniture without hurting it or worse himself. Correy said he would send someone out, but when they arrived the man doing the floor told him he could do it by himself. I ended up trying to help this guy so he would not damage my furniture, which did not work when the headboard of my bed broke in half when the frame fell on it.I wish that was the only thing that broke that day, the next morning I ended up in the ER for my back and was laid up in pain for the next week. When your finance department called for the payment a week and a half later told them what happened, and I really did not feel I should be paying the whole price considering what had taken place and their only reaction was Ill transfer you to sales. I said "wait a minute, you cannot help me?" They said not only my salesperson could do that, so they transferred me, and of course they have never called me back

Flooring “done” but they you failed to send someone out to tack down the carpets. Calls not being returned by the install manager, Paul, or install coordinator, Mirabelle. Kathy stepped in after apparently returning from vacation and sent someone out BUT the installers didn’t leave enough carpet to tack down. We were talked into doing a transition piece so now a floor installer had to come back out. Apparently, his car broke down so he didn’t make it and someone else was sent out late BUT the moulding was the wrong color! This would be funny if it weren’t so sad and frustrating! I just want to be done with this and will never refer this company to anyone or do business with them again! Such a bad experience! ☹️😖😭

FlOODED MY HOUSE! THE NAIL WENT THROUGH THE BASEBOARDS INTO MY PIPE AND RUINED MY WALLS AND FLOORS. THERE IS NO URGENCY OR CARE AND THEY PUT IN A "SERVICE ORDER" I WONT EVEN BE REACHED OUT TO TILL TOMORROW TO SEE WHEN THEY CAN EVEN COME OUT TO LOOK AT IT BUT I KNOW THEY AINT PLUMBERS AND HAVNT HAD WATER ALL DAY. Their subcontractors they send out are rude and unprofessional. They don't finish when they tell you, leave a mess, destroy your walls with cement and holes and try and say " it was like that" and then laugh. Rip door trim off, throw away trim on your cabinets. Theres gaps under the baseboards and the flooring. The floors are already lifting and told me to call in a month and they will re do them. No they should of been done right the first time! I honestly hate my floors and wish I went with any other company but them!

Im going to start that the flooring install looks good. But behind the good looks there is the experience which was not good. The Consultation went fair. The sales person used some pressure tatics and we felt rushed in our decision. He gave a brief summary of what the installation would be like, Demo, Install and clean up. He gets a 3 star. The installation was the nightmare. The installer was 3rd party and shared he was a sub contractor as the original contractor could not do the job and asked him for a favor. Red Flag. This person during the installation was very negative about Express and scared the daylights out of us because he made it feel like the demo work he needed to do would cause my estimate to inflate dramatically. There were some cracks in the foundation, which had been patched in a previous remodel. They were not bad and didn't need any grinding or extra work. The installer made it seem like were going to have lots of extra charges for this too. When Demoing another room the thinset used was pretty heavy on oneside, he made it out to be this horrible job and were gonna be charged for this removal. The installer did not have the proper tools to address this and had to push the demo out another day. The cracks resealed, again no major work, took the guy a total of 1 hour each room to fill. Thankfully this was not added to our bill as there were no major repairs. The next issue with this installer was the lack of sealing up vents and rooms. They used a thin plastic sheet and painters tape in erratic spots to hold up the plastic. This left gaps which the dust was able to penetrate, our vents were not covered and dust was through out the home. While I understand there would be some dust during demo, the sheer lack of sealing off vents and rooms left our home a nightmare to clean. The only thing covered well was my Television. All the other fixtures were loosely covered. Their clean up was to take a dirty rag and move the dust on the floor. They did some vacuuming but not enough to address the dust. We ended up spending hours a full day to Free our home of the dust. Express did have a QA guy come out to check after I raised my concerns. Again 3rd party, took some photos and left. I Don't know if that caused the Installer to change his tune but it was too late. Unfortunately the damage was done, I had no faith in the company, the installer, the process, etc. I couldn't stop the project, and demand a refund. I was bent over and put in a uncomfortable situation. The Installer ruined our experience and I will never ever recommend this company to anyone. Bottom Line, Rushed and pressured sales, horrible contractor/installer. The price I paid this company doesn't justify the experience even though the flooring looks good. Customer gets a negative experience and the company gets paid. Be mindful when considering this organization.

I Do NOT recommend Express Flooring for Tile Installation. The actual install was longer than the quoted time frame; with only 2 people spending 1.5-3hours a day working. It sucked arranging with work to be home for the installation and they’re only working a couple of hours. To try to make up for the time not working on the install through the week, the tile installers of 2 people, were at the house from 8:30am- 6:30pm on Saturday and 8:30am-9:30pm on a Sunday which is absolutely RIDICULOUS. You’re not supposed to walk on the tile and confined to a bedroom because not one area in the house was finish completely. The design consultant said they would remove the baseboards before installing the tile… this did not happen. The tile installers were not careful removing the previous flooring, ripping the coating of the bottoms of cabinets. I had to go around the house resealing the caulking of the baseboards and painting the walls due to all the cracking. Also, the large red tile spacers were left in the grout!! W**! The tile installers were working in the drive way, pouring their waste from grouting into to rocks….. WHICH NOW THERES A LARGE AREA IN OUR YARD THAT IS DISCOLORED!!! Also discolored the water hose reel box out front and splashed the side of the house. Not to mention the little pieces of cut tile scattered around. There was a Lack of Communication from Express flooring. Hard to understand the crew that came to install the tile because I’m not fluent in Spanish. We did have 3 bedrooms recarpeted as well. The installers that were contracted were great and only took a couple of hours. I did reach out to Express Flooring about my experience. They said they would look into it… and then ABSOLUTELY NOTHING…. THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN!!!

I would never use this company again. What a stressful, annoying process. It’s a far cry from their amazing internet site with flashy deals and their upbeat commercials. In the end, you realize its just a ruse to make you feel like you’re getting a good thing, but in reality you’re getting slapped in the face. It’s a bad feeling to know you’re being lied to and makes you lose faith in people, in general. Initial Sales call was great, salesman who came to the house with samples was also great – professional, friendly, answered all questions, and spent a lot of time with us in a very low-key, not high pressure, meeting. The price was great and we picked a color of carpet we really liked for 3 rooms. We also had a small room we had already purchased laminate flooring for that they agreed they could do an install on. We paid a deposit of 25% of the total cost and scheduled two dates 3 weeks from that point, one for the laminate and the other for the carpet. Apparently both could not be done on the same day and that was ok – so we picked 2 days consecutively so as to have to be home from work as little as possible, and have the house in disarray little as possible. Long story short, those dates are meaningless because when they tell you they’re “on their way” for your scheduled installation, it means nothing. We were told on 5 separate occasions that “they’re on their way” or “they’re just loading up the truck with your carpet” or “they'll be there in about an hour” or “tomorrow for sure its happening” – honestly we heard it all. Each time you call, it goes to their call center so you get to hear the same upbeat advertisement as is shown on television. It got to the point where we knew they were blocking our calls or would see our number pop up because they stopped answering our calls. The way around this was to call from a different phone or to dial directly from the web-phone – so there are ways around it, but that proved it right there. To top it off, we had to move all our furniture because at one point we were told only 1 installer was going to show up (how is he going to move it himself?) so in anticipation of that, we moved everything in good faith to help this guy out...and that was a mistake because it stayed there for another full day like that. We finally reached our breaking point after having to take another day off work to be home for the promised install. After several hours of nobody showing up, and only the laminate flooring completed the prior day (for which we provided the material,) we called one final time later that morning and threatened to cancel, file a lawsuit for the incomplete work and cashed deposit they took from us, and report them to the Better Business Bureau. Amazingly, 2 installers were there an hour later our final price was discounted a little for our inconvenience. I hate that it came to that because we’re really understanding people and if there were real issues, they just needed to tell us the truth and communicate to us, instead of us having to constantly call them to ask why nobody had shown up or when they were coming, and being lied to with endless excuses. It appears they are either understaffed or overbooked or both – and all your calls lead to the same install manager who never has a truthful answer for you; even when you ask for another manager or to escalate above that, you still get the same guy to talk to. The installers themselves did a nice job but they are subcontracted and it appeared they were in a hurry to finish as they were pulled from another job and undoubtedly had to return to that after they finished ours. I ended up cleaning up and vacuuming stuff left behind before we moved the rest of our furniture back. In the end, I guess the install manager tried to do the right thing but it was a little too late and only prompted by legal action. Because of all this I would never ever in a million years even use them again if they were free. I feel bad leaving negative reviews of any kind but I hope to spare anyone from this same agony by sharing our story. It’s a shame because the carpet is really nice and now that its been a few weeks, we can enjoy it without getting upset when we look at it.

If there were a zero option that would have been my choice. This company is run by liars and thieves. I had a salesman come out to give an estimate on a house that I was getting ready to close on pending the inspection. I told the salesman it would be five days before everything was finalized and I didn't want to sign the contract given the three day cancellation requirement. I was told it wouldn't be problem given the circumstances. The house didn't pass inspection so I called to cancel the installation and carpet order. The installation department said I needed to talk to the salesman. When I spoke with the salesman he said, "no problem" that they would "hold" my carpet for the next house I purchase. I told him that was not what we discussed and I wanted a refund. Ten months later and after being told on several occasions they would refund the money, they never have. Nor did they have to install the carpet or do any work to keep the $475.00. It's no wonder the Attorney General filed a lawsuit against this company. Skeevy lying salespeople and unethical behavior by the owners. The owner tried to bribe me by saying, if I purchased new carpet from them, he would credit me the money they refused to refund me. However, if I report them to the Attorney General or write anything negative, I won't see a dime of my money. Real classy business. No wonder they have to hire sketchy people.

We had everything redone. It took us almost a year to get it fixed. We needed to get it redone and they were willing to re-carpet everything but we had to pay extra. There are still problems. It is not fixed, but we are not going to keep going back to them because we are not going to pay more money to keep getting disappointed. I would not go to them again.

It was 1000 square feet. It was pretty terrible. The sales people were very aggressive and it was a highly pressurized situation. We had to purchase on the day they came out. The quality of the carpet was really poor. We had to have the whole house re-carpeted. It took us a year to get that taken care of. When they just re-carpeted and there is cracking and splitting in the padding underneath and the carpet was worn and there is splitting between my carpet and hard surfaces. It was an awful experience. They did offer to do the re-carpeting at no additional cost. But because we needed to get a different carpet they charged us a difference which was an additional cost and it cost us $10000. It is actually no better than it was originally. We found out later that they over charged us and we could have gotten it done for $5000. I would not continue to go to them for services.

If This allowed me to do zero stars I would, this is absolutely been the worst experience with a professional company I have ever ever had. They started my two bathroom projects on Monday of this week they ripped out all the tile and flooring in both bathrooms they ripped out the toilets in both bathrooms and put them in the bathtub they're only supposed to do one to time that so that my family would still have somewhere to shower thank God we still have an extra toilet. I have tried calling them every single day talked with Devon and they've given me excuses after excuse every single day and why they're still not here to finish the job. The sales rep Jeff who came to my house and sat at my kitchen table with me and my family was extremely friendly and kind however not very honest when it comes to their company. He told me every single employee works for us express flooring Solee and go through extensive background checks however I have found out now that they subcontract out every single job so when I speak to Carlos my subcontractor he has no idea what their plans are he has other job for his own contracting company that he's trying to make it a priority not mine. So now I sit here waiting for the "call" that they promised to give me every morning telling me what the plan is going to be with no toilets for my bathrooms and no ability to take a shower. I have three kids and a wife this is completely unacceptable. The ultimate insult to us has been to take care of this frustration they've offered to replace my baseboards for free. Keep in mind those are the same boards their employee damaged when He removed them. Please do yourself a favor and find your own subcontractor.
