ELECTRONIC REPAIR CO

It started badly. The receptionist forgot to tell them it took two to get it off the wall. When they came they were polite and efficient. They had been very good about charges on the telephone and this is an expensive repair so I was surprised when they returned the TV that they couldn't reconnect things other than the TV (they disconnected these to get it off the wall). I understand this but think I should have been informed of this in advance as I had already paid a fortune.

I HAD PURCHASED A NEW TV. TV MANUFACTURER IS EMPREX. THE SOUND CARD WENT OUT ABOUT 2 WEEKS AFTER THE 30 DAY WARRANTY EXPIRED.... HMMMM. THE MANUFACTURER HAS A 1 YEAR WARRANTY, BUT REQUIRES THAT THE TV BE SHIPPED TO A SITE IN CALIFORNIA WITH SHIPPING COST AND ALL LIABILITY FOR SHIPPING TO BE BORNE BY THE PURCHASER (ME). THE COST TO SHIP THE TV WOULD HAVE BEEN SLIGHTLY LESS THAN WHAT I PAID FOR THE REPAIR JOB. I CALLED ELECTRONIC REPAIR CO, TOOK THE TV TO THEIR SHOP AND THEY DID THE DIAGNOSIS, ORDERED THE SOUND CARD AND REPAIRED THE TV IS LESS THAN A WEEK. VERY RESPONSIVE AND QUICK SERVICE (THE SOUND CARD HAD TO BE SENT FROM CALIFORNIA). ELECTRONIC REPAIR CO GIVES A 30 DAY LABOR GUARANTY AND A 90 DAY PARTS GUARANTY WHICH IS MORE THAN THE STORE I PURCHASED THE TV WAS WILLING TO PROVIDE. LESSON LEARNED - THERE'S A REASON EMPREX PRICES ARE LESS THAN OTHER BRANDS AND YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE AN EMPREX PRODUCT AGAIN, BUT HIGHLY RECOMMEND ERC FOR ANY REPAIR WORK.

IGOR WAS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL - SHOWING ME AND MY HUSBAND THE DAMAGED PART AND GIVING US THE TIP TO CONTACT OUR POWER COMPANY.

WE LOOKED AT MNY DIFFERENT COMPANIES. THIS ONE SEEMED TO BE THE MOST PLEASANT OVER THE PHONE AND ALSO IN PERSON. THEY TOOK THEIR TIME AND DID A VERY GOOD JOB. VERY FRIENDLY AND CONSIDERATE OF MY FAMILY AND THE SITUATION. THEY DID A GREAT JOB!!
