This is my incredible story after hiring ECO Roofing Solutions. KEEP READING TO THE END, you will be shocked at what it took to hold this terrible company accountable - and tell everyone you know! In an industry already plagued with its fair share of dishonest contractors, ECO Roofing Solutions, based in Mesa Arizona, stands out amongst the WORSE. They not only FAILED to do their job properly, but they also engaged in behavior to AVOID RESPONSIBILITY for their shoddy work. DON’T BE FOOLED BY THEIR SPIN TO BLAME THE CUSTOMER. The company was forced by a state agency to fix their sub-standard work. Period! This company represents everything that’s wrong with the roofing industry, and I hope by sharing my experience, others can avoid the same frustrating and costly experience. If you value your home, your time, and your hard-earned money, DO NOT HIRE ECO ROOFING SOLUTIONS! They will blame YOU for their terrible business practices (just read their responses!). There are many roofing companies competing for your business, each with their own marketing pitch for the same services. It’s not rocket science, it is a roof. It is manual labor. It does not require highly educated or skilled people, it takes a simple “CR42” roofers license, which is why there are so many roofers out there, like used car salesman. For us, the consumers, the challenging job is to find the best company and one we can trust. In the shady world of roofers, that can be a tough job. SO MY STORY BEGINS: In September 2024, I hired ECO Roofing Solutions to address issues caused by a previous roofer. You read that correctly: ECO was supposed to fix the mistakes of another company. While this may not be unusual in a field that is, frankly, rife with unprofessionalism, BEWARE of this sleazy industry. Well, things only got worse from there. Instead of resolving the issues, ECO's workmanship was as bad, if not worse, than the first company’s work. BUT THERE IS A TWIST … ECO was so ARROGANT they refused to fix their SHODDY roof work (and always blaming the customer), so I had to contact the Arizona Registrar of Contractors (ROC), a state agency that regulates and licenses contractors in Arizona. The ROC investigates contractors, such as ECO, who do not perform work in a professional and workmanlike manner. The ROC assesses civil penalties and can suspend or revoke licenses. THE ROC OPENED A CASE TO INVESTIGATE ECO Roofing Solutions as a result of my complaint. **ECO’S RESPONSE WAS JAW-DROPPING!**. They sent an email demanding that I withdraw my complaint if I wanted them to fix the issues they caused. ***? They tried to pressure me into abandoning my legal rights in exchange for addressing the very problems that their incompetence created in the first place. This attempt to manipulate and intimidate me should have been a huge RED FLAG for anyone considering this company! The ROC came to my house and wanted me to point out all the issues. ROC then demanded ECO fix the problems, including an IMPROPERLY INSTALLED bent and damaged Gas B-vent pipe, which is needed for safe furnace operation. A bad gas B-vent can be very dangerous as it can lead to CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING by allowing combustion gases to LEAK INTO YOUR HOME instead of being properly exhausted outdoors. They were also told to fix their improperly applied mortar which was cracking and crumbling, and to haul away roofing items they previously refused to take away. NO ONE SHOULD TRUST A COMPANY THAT HAS TO BE TOLD BY A STATE AGENCY to comply with industry workmanship and safety standards. I held them accountable with the help of the ROC, and I should not have had to go through such an ordeal. No one should. AND DON’T BE FOOLED by a company that has perfected the craft of BLAMING THEIR CUSTOMERS . No matter what, the fact remains that it took a state agency to verify and force them to fix their sub-standard work. Any company willing to put themselves in that position is both arrogant and incompetent. FIND ANOTHER ROOFER WHO DOES THE RIGHT WORK, THE FIRST TIME. DO NOT HIRE ECO ROOFING SOLUTIONS.
