Description of Work: Contacted Discount Blinds by Ted (also known as Ted's Discount Blinds, LLC) in October to inquire about window screens that reduce the amount of heat coming in through the windows. Ted arrived on time for our appointment. He did preliminary measurements of 12 windows, showed me two samples of screen material (80 and 90) and colors, was knowledgeable of my HOA requirements (color), and gave me a price quote. He stayed untill all of my questions and concerns were addressed. It's important to note that the screens also act as privacy screens during the day (people outside cannot see in but people inside can see out with clarity) and may offer some level of security as the screens are securely fastened to the window frame with four metal fastners. Ted informed me that it could take up to two weeks to fabricate the screens and install them. He told me that an employee would be back in a few days to take exact measurements of each window. Sure enough within a few days the employee responsible for fabricating the screens arrived and measured the 12 windows with great care. The employee did a thorough job and, to my surprise, told me that he would be back in a few days to install them. The installation was done in a very uniform and professional manner. This was a good experience and everything went as planned.

 + -1 moreOverall shutter quality is average. The stained shutters were below average in quality with poor stain coverage. Company is very busy and communication was lacking. Shutters were not delivered when promised. Problems after installation received less than prompt attention and were never resolved.
Description of Work: Purchased 10 painted wood shutters and 5 stained wood shutters for new Scottsdale home in September of 2005.
