1/20/23 I called whirlpool and I requested a technician to come check out my dryer since it was purchased in June of last year. I informed them that my dryer latch was broken. So they sent out Dinos technician, STEVEN ROMO. I told them I didn't like that technician because he was rude. They said I would have to wait like two weeks. So instead I let them send him over. When Steve Romo, Dinos appliance showed up he didn't even say hello or introduce himself he just came in, he said that I can't just be calling for them to come out ,I said why not I purchased a warranty, I said should I not had purchased it he did not say anything. He acts like he is the one purchasing the parts. Now if he doesn't like his job he should find himself something else to do I highly would not recommend this person. VERY RUDE AND NOT INTELLIGENT!! Was under warranty!

Whirlpool refridge would not make ice. First service call the tech declared I needed a defrost control part. He would order it.. it would take two weeks. He did not check ice maker. He said if I defrosted the fridge and then re-started it that it would make ice because the line was now frosted shut. He charged me $120. I defrosted for 2 days and restarted. Still no ice. Three weeks later I called Dino's. They said part that came in was defective and it would be five more days. When tech arrived two weeks later I told him that despite defrost and restart still no ice. He punched in a code and said I had a bad ice maker. I asked why he hadn't checked that on his previous visit even though it was on the work order he got flustered and said he had an ice maker from another job and would give it to me free as long as I didn't tell anyone. He changed the defrost controller and the ice maker. He charged me another $167. He said it would start making ice in 28 hours. It didn't. I called again a few days later and they sent the tech back. This time he said I needed another part and it would be nearly $400. I asked if i got credit for the unnecessary defroster part and he insisted I had needed that too. In short, according to him, the defroster control, the ice maker and the main control board all went out at once. Had he done the job right the first time and told me that the repairs would be around $800 I would have purchased a new refrigerator rather that investing that much money in a 3 1/2 yr old one. I told him i would find someone else to do the job because i didn't trust him. I contacted Whirlpool about their supposed "certified" technician and they declined to help in any way except to give me another repair service. I checked their reviews and found them to be very poor. I will never buy Whirlpool or use Dino's again. Update as of 5/21/2020: I want to add that the new service tech that i used after giving up on Dino's said the ice maker that Dino's replaced was bad and the Main control board that dinos wanted to replace for around $400 was ok. Had I let Dino's replace that board i would have been out another $400 for that and ultimately another $400 for the ice maker. I will never use Dino's again.

Appointment scheduled between 8-12pm. KitchenAid Corporate Safety made appointment which I’m told was confirmed via a work order. Dinos is apparently one their authorized service providers in the Phoenix Metro Area. On day of appointment I called Dinos to confirm. They knew nothing about it. Called KitchenAid and learned that yes I did have an appointment but that Dinos somehow lost track or misplaced the work order. Oh, but by way of consolation they would be happy to come out the next day. Needless to say I turned down whatever appointments they might have offered the next day or for all time.

They gave us a few simple tips to try on the phone. They accommodated our timing requests, called Monday and scheduled for Thursday. Matt, the technician called on the morning of as requested to confirm appointment time, he called again when on the way as requested. He was able to quickly figure out the problem and confirmed cost was acceptable to me. He replaced the part that wasn't working and made sure it was working appropriately. We used this company back in 2008 when our Maytag freezer part of our refrigerator stopped working and they provided excellent service then too. We had first called another A listed company here on Angie's list on Saturday, but had trouble actually connecting with them and did not give me confidence, so we went back to Dino's who we had used before and they did not disappoint. Next time we will just call them first. Not sure if another company might have been a little cheaper, but we are definitely satisfied.

Dino's was assigned the service call for my mother by Maytag under warranty. Luis was the tech. He was to arrive between 8:00 am and 12:00 noon. He called that morning and said he would arrive between 10:30 and 12:30, which was appreciated. He called a little after noon and said he was about a mile away but had one more call to make before he would get to her house. She told him that based on his call earlier saying he would be there by 12:30, so could he please make her next as she had made other commitments. He agreed and was there within 10 minutes. He took a look at the blue stain inside the dryer and told her it was blue paint or nail polish. She told him that there had been no blue paint or nail polish in her house or on her clothes, nor any other color of paint. She said she had dried blue jeans and could that be it and he ignored her and kept saying it was paint. She said if it WAS paint, then it came that way from Maytag/Home Depot. He ignored her. He said nothing he could do, that she would need to clean it herself. My mother is 83 years old, and asked if he could try to remove it. He spent 5 or so minutes scratching it with his fingernail and then gave up and started writing up his report. She asked that he not put in the report that it was paint of any kind, knowing that it couldn't have been paint from anything she had dried or even had near the dryer. She was concerned that it could affect her warranty and knew it wasn't accurate. He told her "I can write anything I want in my report." in an extremely hostile manner. She said, "I don't want to sign off if you put that it's paint." He then turned his back on her, walked out and without another word, left. We have contacted Maytag and submitted our displeasure that this is the quality of contractor they are using for warranty work in the Phoenix area. They have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau, many horrible online reviews, including here at Angie's List and on Yelp. We never would have used this company on our own, and trusted Maytag to assign the work to a reputable company. I called Dino's to request that they provide the paperwork from the service call, since Luis left without providing the report. Dino was rude to me on the phone, telling me that the tech spent 45 minutes at my mother's house cleaning out the dryer (a lie) and that this was over and above what they do, that they do not do cleaning. He stated that she was uncooperative and that he would not provide the paperwork. This is the owner of the company. He was not in any way open to hearing that his tech may have been in the wrong, or treated a customer badly. Be very careful using this company. If you have warranty work and this company is assigned to you, be aware that you can request they not be sent and another company be assigned the work. Maytag told me that they accommodate these requests and have another contractor in the area, and if they can't come they will make arrangements for another contractor. If you do have a bad experience with Dino's, please report it to the company that assigned them so that they can review their contract with a company of this horrible quality.
Description of Work: Warranty service on a two month old Maytag dryer. There was a small blue stain on the inside of the dryer drum. We were concerned that this was a defect and would get worse over time and affect the dryer's life and quality in coming years.

My ice maker wasn't generating any ice..tech. came and said he couldn't fix it. He didn't even move the built in refrigerator to check. He said the R/O system caused the problem and couldn't fix the ice maker.. However the R/O system and built in refrigerator/ice maker has been working well since when the house was built in 2005. So how can that be the cause of the problem he didn't go any further than that. He was explained that so how can that be the caused and leave the ice maker still not working. He couldn't answer back. The water from fridge hasn't taste the same since he shut off the R/O line. However had the audacity to charge $115 for no repair and I have a Kitchen extended warranty plan which there should had been no charge whatsoever as I found out thru the plan. They are scamming and ripping people off. So beware.. Before this service, I had used them in the past, for door in oven that cracked. The first tech came and said he couldn't repair the door, he had to change the whole thing and it was going to cost money, etc. and left. I called Kitchen Aid to complain and another tech came out where he repaired it with no problem. I am having another service contractor with the plan to come out and check the problem hopefully it gets fix as my drinking water doesn't taste well since Dino came out and my ice maker is still not making ice. I need to have ice that is why I bought a Kitchen Aid built in refrigerator with ice maker. Not for it to just look pretty and not make ice or drink water from it. They should be reported to BBB and be taken out of business if they are ripping people off.
Description of Work: The provider didn't do anything to repair the ice maker in my 2nd home....but charge when he wasn't suppose to as I have an extended warranty plan for my Kitchen Aid Appliances.

This what actually happened. My brand new Whirlpool washer started acting up in the last couple of weeks (it would get stuck on the rinse cycle). They sent out Steven Romo from Dino's to take a look at it. First, he showed up 20 minutes before the window he set this morning (fine, okay, whatever, but I had just gotten out of the shower, and wasn't expecting him for a while). He tinkered with my machine for a while, and then called me over to chat. He started to tell me that my machine was getting unbalanced load codes, okay. He then instructed me that I cannot do small loads, to which I let him know, that I do substantial loads as I tend to procrastinate doing my laundry. He said I needed to wash more than a couple of towels at a time, when he said this I pointed to an actual basket of towels waiting to be washed that was piled high! He then told me that I quote "needed to stop interrupting" and to let him finish talking because he was trying to give me information and that "this is his job" and he knows what he's talking about. I'm sorry, but he doesn't come hang out when I do my laundry, and I would find knowing how I actually use the washer to be pertinent information when figuring out what's wrong. I found his comment to be unnecessary and aggressive, and it turned a normal conversation into a really uncomfortable one sided lecture. But it continues to get better! He then starts to tell me that it "appears" the washer and dryer are on the same circuit as other things in the house. Again, I explain to him, they in fact are not, they are on their own separate breaker, I had just spent a small fortune rewiring my 1930's house, and that the electrician has them on their own circuits. To which Steven says in a condescending manner, that I am wrong, and that they are on the same circuit because they are plugged into the same outlet (mind you the dryer is gas). Didn't know he was an electrician! He also tells me that the washer could have interference from routers or other appliances. My router is on the other side of the house, and again, the washer and dryer are on separate breakers and separate circuits from each other. I even called my electrician to confirm after the tech left. He then continued to tell me that I was wrong, my electrician was wrong (mind you, my electrician is the owner and founder of one of the largest electric repair and installation companies in the Valley) and I told him okay, I guess I would just have to let Whirlpool send him out again when it continued. He then more or less threatened that they would have to charge me if he came back out, and that I'm wrong and just using the washer incorrectly, and that I need to rewire my (already correct) outlet. Also worth noting my electrician thinks claims like this about the wiring are B.S. but he anticipated it and did put them on separate breakers and circuits from one another at the get go. His tone the entire time was condescending, and I got the vibe it's because of my s** (female) and age (25). I was not once confrontational, and was only ever trying to explain how I do in fact use the washer, and how the electricity is in fact wired. My father (attorney) followed up with Whirlpool, and when he relayed what the tech told me to the woman at Whirlpool, she was surprised at the claims. She said it was the first time she had ever heard a tech say the problem was too small of loads, and that the outlet was the issue. She says all she had on her side from the tech was that the security system was interfering with the washer. HE NEVER EVEN MENTIONED THE SECURITY SYSTEM TO ME. He basically didn't listen to anything I told him, accused me of not letting him speak, and then LIED to Whirlpool. The woman at Whirlpool stated they'd be filing their own complaint about this, and they scheduled me a return visit from a different company. I found the tech to be threatening, condescending, unprofessional, and above all, he was 100% wrong about everything.

I was facing a possible 2 weeks without my refrigerator as Kitchenaid doesn't make this control board and it has to be shipped somewhere and rebuilt; then shipped back and installed. But Dino has been through this with previous customers and so always has one of these rebuilt boards in his inventory. So no delays for me! His crew was out the next day with the right part and my refrigerator was up and running less than 24hrs after I contacted Dino. They also replaced a fan as they learned from other customers who have had this same problem that the fan was the thing causing the control board to blow. I just love that they had already figured out the problem and how to provide great customer in spite of Kitchenaid. The workmen called ahead to make sure I was home, were there on time, professional and respectful of my possessions. Great job Dino and the fellows!!

Stew was sent to factory service our refrigerator. He was argumentative about our changing the service time. Would not accept a letter from the manufacturer proving purchase. Wanted only the receipt. Fixed a symptom of the problem but did not investigate the cause. Broke a runner for the freezer drawer during his "service". After he left the refrigerator continued to malfunction. We required a different service company to come out and actually fix our appliance. We will not be hiring this company for any service again.

After Lowe's mistakenly canceled our warranty service appointment, Dino himself got on the phone and shifted things around so his repairman could fit us in the next day, on Saturday. He was here early Saturday morning and fixed both appliances. We were very impressed that this company went out of their way to make us happy due to no fault of their own. We will definitely call them again.

A terrible experience and would never use them again.
Description of Work: The service tech who came to the house was very unprofessional and offered little or no help in how to solve a recurring problem with my freezer. After I contacted the manufacturer and was given the approval for a new part and it was sent to Dino's I had to call numerous time to see if it had arrived. When it finally did arrive they said I would be contacted in the morning to set a time for installation. I missed the call and when i got back to them was told it would be another three days before they could come out again. I asked the owner to call me to discuss and never received a call back. When the tech did arrive told him the manufacturer wanted him to call their technical support number to make sure the part was installed correctly. As this was the third time Dino's had installed this part i thought this was a good idea. The tech responded by saying they "always say that" and never called them. After the part was installed numerous screws were missing and there were scratches on the walls of the freezer where the work had been done.

Exceptionally pleased with service provided by Dino's Appliance. Prompt response upon initial phone call to Dino's for estimate. Jake came out to provide service on the dryer. Was professional, courteous and patiently explained the problem with my dryer. Service work was completed swiftly. The dryer worked well through several loads when another loudly irritating noise began. A second phone call to Dino's was placed and Jake returned within 2 days. Upon further inspection he determined another part needed replacing. No charge was made for the second trip or part. The dryer has worked wonderfully since. I will definitely make Dino's my and quot;go toand quot; repair company for any future problems.
Description of Work: The warranty on my Maytag dryer had recently expired but a problem previously fixed under warranty in January 2012 resurfaced again. Dino's replaced a faulty roller bar and the unit worked well for several dryer loads. Another loud noise occurred and Dino's technician came back out at no charge and replaced a different component. Dryer is working like a champ again.

He took the time to get on the floor and look, then he pulled the entire machine out from the wall to make sure nothing was behind it. He was able to reinstall it correctly in 15 minutes. He didn't charge me since it's a new machine under warranty. Jake is the only person that has come to my house from Dino's and he's always been helpful, clean and polite. I would recommend this company.
