Description of Work: They fertilized all my trees and shrubs as well as adding chemicals to allow soil to let water and nutrition into the plants. The tree that was dying is now thriving.

Description of Work: Easy to contact, came out promptly for estimate,was able to get appointment for work in a short time frame. Work performed well (2 eucalyptus trimmed,deep root feeding for 3 trees and anti-parasite wash done on one tree) and total cleanup. This is my go-to company for tree care in Cave Creek.

Description of Work: They replaced my front yard with pavers and put in plants along the front and side of my house. They also put up a small retaining wall with desert with rock landscaping just behind the wall . They also put in plants along the border of 3 walls of my block fence along with a drip system for all the plants. They also put in pavers for a patio with an open air overhang . They also put in pea gravel all around the plants, patio and small section of grass they put in with a sprinkler system which is all separated with a border. They also put in 2 gates with key locks. I had several low spots in my driveway of the pavers about a year later and they came out and fixed it free a of charge . My only issue is that some of the plants were planted to close together, Orange Jubalie and yellow Bell . They also grinded down a couple of tree stumps .

Description of Work: Trim two 50 foot evergreens. Hand trim delicate Junniper Bush. Trimmed 50 linear foot of a variety of bushes. General lawn clean up. They are professional. I have been using them for about 12 years. Nobody is better.

Description of Work: complete landscaping from the dirt up, front and back yard...new irrigation system.. They started by removing 3..30 year old eucalyptus trees, then stripping everything off the ground. The only negative I have to say is that they started on June 10 and gave me a 'projected' finish date of 'end of August. They finished at the end of OCTOBER!!!! Their workers were congenial, the ones who spoke English , and they were on time when they said they'd be there. It did go over my proposed budget, but overall...I am pleased with the outcome.

Description of Work: I've used DTM several times over five years for tree maintenance, always with good results, but seemingly high priced. Sadly, during a recent microburst, a fifty foor tall mesquite blew over on to my neighbors' property and camper. DTM responded to my call quickly, but wanted $6100 to remove the tree and uprooted stump. I told them to come, but when I came I came to my senses at midnight, I faxed them to do no more than $3500 worth of work to remove the tree from the neighbors' property. They did this the next morning promptly, billed me $6100. and then refunded the bill to $3500. To their defense, they did what I asked them to do, as I wanted an insured and bonded company. Next, they quoted $1200 to remove the uprooted stump. I found someone else to do it for $400. I like these people, but in this case I think they were predatory.

Description of Work: REPLACED sprinkler lines and heads. They had me buy all new sprinkler heads and instead of replacing the whole sprinkler, they just took out the sprayers and left the old sprinklers in. When they finished, my front yard sprinklers no longer turned on. They attempted to fix it once, failed, and then said I would have to pay more to have them fix it. They simply refused to make it right. And they keep calling me trying to get more work. This is one of the worst business experiences I have ever had.

Description of Work: I've used these guys before and I general I like them -- very professional, prompt, and they do good work. In this case, their representative was very honest with me about the fact that someone in their organization simply did not do the math correctly, and that they could not honor the Big Deal unless the work being done were a very large job presumably with larger margins. He requested I simply get a refund since otherwise he would have to overcharge me on the estimate to make the numbers work. This was understandably disappointing. Again, since I had been using their services for the past eight years and had just given then a very big job this past summer, I would have thought they could have made an exception for a good customer. But I at least appreciated the honesty. I'll probably explore other similar companies next time though.

Description of Work: Nick came out to our home and was very knowledgeable about the trees and landscaping that would improve the aesthetics of our property. When discussing price, he said that the employee from Design Tree Maintenance who authorized the Angie's List Big Deal of $500 worth of services for $250 had not had the authority to do so; the price cost the company money. Therefore, he would have to inflate the cost of the services we were requesting on his bid, if we chose to use the coupon. He recommended we request a refund from Angie's List.

Description of Work: Be very careful about using this company!! In my experience, they are totally unprofessional and try to sell services you don't need at an exorbitant price. After my bad experience, I called another tree service company who said that the fertilization and pruning Design Tree Maintenance recommended was unnecessary and possibly harmful in the hottest part of the summer. Their arborist was more than two hours late for the initial consultation. A few days later, the service crew was supposed to arrive between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm and did not show up. Exasperated with the second missed appointment, I called the office at 1:00 pm and told them to cancel the service because I had to be away that afternoon. The office person said they often worked when the client was not home, but I told her I was losing confidence in the company and I did not want them on my property when I was not there. When I returned early in the evening, I had a message that my security company had turned them away at the gate during the afternoon. Then I discovered that they had apparently followed another car through the gate and done the fertilizing when I was not there. In other words, they sneaked in and trespassed on my property!! Naturally, I would not pay.

Description of Work: The guy came out expecting to gain more work than just the checkup that we paid for. But what he found was that our system didn't have a valve to prevent the water from backwashing into the house's water system and said his company wouldn't touch it. Didn't offer any suggestions either. $59 wasted.
