I bought a Big Deal for Desert Mountain Electric ($99 for 2 Hours of Electrical Labor). They told me they "could service this job on 12/10 between 2-4." I agreed to that time slot and took off work to be at my house. They called me at 3:50 to say that they were "running late."

See above in "What did the provider do?" It should be noted that my total cost with new water heater and labor and tax was $1080. This was $1020 less than the charge I was quoted by another company, before calling Desert Mountain.

Miguel arrived right on time and was absolutely terrific! He resolved all of the issues efficiently, and answered my questions with a smile! 1. One bad "GFCI" outlet was causing all of the issues, along with a "tricky" hairdryer that worked from some outlets and not others. Initially it was a bit of a puzzle, but Miguel figured it out. 2. Installation of a new battery (which I had) in my home security system. Miguel listened while I called ADT Security to ask if they could test the new battery. ADT Security told me what steps to take, after allowing the battery to charge for 48 hours. Miguel found the transformer to which they referred, and explained the procedure. 3.Although clearly "below his pay grade" and skill level, Miguel cheerfully replaced light bulbs in fixtures I couldn't reach. 4. He quickly solved a ridiculous "chirping" noise I had in my garage. Next time I need electrical work done I will call Desert Mountain and ask for Miguel! The electrician arrived on time and worked efficiently and quickly. He answered all of my questions. Because there was time left on my Big Deal he was able to determine what some switches and outlets were for.

Professional and came within the timeframe quoted. Able to install light fixtures and fix bracket efficiently and quickly. Cleaned up afterwards. Highly recommend.

Ordered coupon on 11/10/14. Desert Mountain Electric finally communicated with me on 11/13/14 with a five word email: "I will contact you shortly." I'm still waiting.... Poor communication from vendor. One week is unacceptable. Please refund me the $69 ASAP. I will find another provider with better customer service. Thank you.

I contacted Jay in July of 2014. He was not the lowest price but based on our conversations he was the guy I felt most comfortable taking on this renovation of a vintage 1972 Scottsdale patio home with aluminum wiring. To make a long story short this job has taken a few months with Jay and his guys spending many hours at my home doing the work. Although no job goes perfectly without a snag here or there, Jay and Tanum helped every step of the way while addressing every "issue" professionally with a problem solving attitude. I can say that this job has gone very, very well and that I'm 100% satisfied with Desert Mountain Electric!

Micheal (sp) was excellent, polite and has a sense of humor. He cleaned up the debris from the job site, When I asked him to give an estimate for work to be performed at a later date, he was very willing to do so. He completed the estimate, and emailed the estimate plus an invoice for work he performed today. I used Desert Mountain Electrical based on an Angie's List Big deal. I would definitely ask for Micheal again!

Described job as "Change electrical line to garden to a 3-outlet plug, to run the pump, a remote control for the pump, and 6-led garden lights." The provider had NONE of the necessary parts. An electrician without wire? Specifically said it was a garden electrical line - no shovel in case one needed to look at the conduit the line was in? What did he have in the truck? Did they call to discuss the job? NO! We would gladly have sent pictures of the area. I used Desert Mountain Electric for a job in Scottsdale. Excellent results. This job, however, was a waste of my time and my money.

After finding out we couldn't put in our sconces by Desert Mountain, we got ahold of another local electrician who came out and said no problem. He came back and installed both and we are thrilled.

The problem was as simple as a shorted fuse in a light, so the provider didn't actually do anything but diagnose the problem. I was still charged for the full amount.

I bought a $89 coupon special for two hours of labor. A electrician showed up and did not have a tall enough ladder to reach the patio lights, so he could not do the work. He was very professional and said they will have to return with a taller ladder. A few days later two electricians showed up without the ladder. They installed two exterior outlets and had to call the owner to go to a rental yard and pick up and deliver the ladder. They waited about 45 minutes to an hour for the owner to show up and they installed the patio lights. They knew ahead of time that they needed to arrive with the proper ladder, but did not bring it with them. I ended up paying $89 for the coupon special of two hours of labor and $361.95 for the replacement of two light fixtures that I provided. The $361.95 included the rental of the ladder. It totaled up to be $450.95. They should have been organized and prepared with the ladder when they arrived the second time. They wasted valuable time and the job ended up more expensive then it should have been.
