I was contacted promptly by Desert Mountain Electric and scheduled the service for 4/22. Miguel arrived as promised and completed work which included checking the circuit breaker box. He disconnected two breakers for pool equipment for a pool that was recently removed. He checked the breakers and relabeled them. He was very professional. I would recommend Desert Mountain Electric and will consider them for any future electrical work we may have.

The Angie's List offer was to inspect and evaluate landscape lighting, or something like that. I bought the offer because I had a number of halogen lights that burned out after a month or so; and we wanted to add and move some lights. The electrician, Trip, came to look at our lights, and we told him what we wanted. His estimate was very reasonable, we thought, so we scheduled a return visit to do the work. Trip showed up about 10 minutes early and did all the work in the estimate. We are very happy with the results. One of the lights we had moved was problematic; it needed to be raised on a rod instead of put directly in the ground. Trip did not have the rod he needed. Another electrician came out a week or so later with the rod, and it appears to be exactly what is needed. I would have given an "A" for price, but I thought the cost of the second trip out to install the rod on the one light was quite expensive. The 12 inch rod was 25 dollars and labor was 89 dollars for a few minutes work. With tax, that was a total of about $125 of the $830 project. On the other hand, it took some extra gasoline on their part to get to our house. I highly recommend this company; just try to get everything finished in one trip! They do great work.

It was totally great. They are a triple ?A?. They are just great. I love them more than anything. They are prompt, reasonable and enthusiastic. They were over here before for something which I forgot but it was not an Angie?s List deal. Their price is reasonable.

Miguel, the electrical technician from Desert Mountain Electric, was outstanding, very impressive. He called ahead before his arrival and was on time. He listened well to what we wanted. Before he began the tune-up on the circuit breaker box I explained to him that I did not want to breathe down his neck while he was working but I would like to look behind the switch panel with him as I had never seen the inside. He had no objection whatsoever. In fact not only did he explained everything he was doing and why every step of the way he also welcomed all of my questions and was cordial and very thorough in answering. This was the manner with which he worked for the entire time he was here with the nurse-call system and the GFCI work. Not only did he perform the tasks we wanted quickly and efficiently it was also a very good learning experience for us. It is rare to get this great type of service! Miguel showed up on time, asked what I wanted done and set right to work. It was raining that day, but he was able to install the 3 outdoor light fixtures (I purchased in advance at Lowe's) as he was protected by the eaves of the house. It only took him an hour and I had purchased 2 hours of service. He asked if I needed anything else done. I had a light switch in the master bathroom that wasn't operating correctly. He replaced it for an additional fee of $10.00 for the new switch.

He looked at what I needed and what I asked for. Then he said to look at my Angie's in-box and there would be a quote there. About a day later I got a quote. The quote seemed very reasonable to me and I was going to go ahead and schedule it but I am too busy now. I will contact them when my schedule gets a little less insane and I can schedule something. It entails getting into the garage and pulling out all the wires safely and then removing them. You have to be careful moving around in the attic because it does not have a floor so I can't do it myself. It was a free estimate and the price seemed reasonable at the time. He was very knowledgeable because I had questions about how the plate gets hot when you have a dimmer switch. He explained to me what dimmer switches do and why they get warm so it put my mind at ease about my dimmer switches. I felt like I could ask him questions and he would not put me off. He was very friendly and forthcoming with his knowledge and I appreciate that. Electrical is a scary proposition if you don't know what you are doing. He assured me the installation was safe and that I did not have to worry.

I purchased a big deal for this service and it was fine. I think they came out the next week after I purchased the big deal. I was worried that I might have a short in the garage. What happened was the package of bulbs I bought were bad. He said that happens sometime so there was nothing really wrong and he did not do any repair, but he checked everything out to make sure it was okay. He was very good and gave me a quote about another job in the future because an old boyfriend had wired my house for sound and I wanted the wires taken out. He was very nice, professional and did a great job. I was a little disappointed that I did not have a problem and I still had to pay but it was good that he came out and told me I did not have a bigger problem. When I went out and bought new bulbs I put them in there and they worked. He gave me advice about certain things and was a very trustworthy person. He did not charge me any more than was the Groupon was and he gave me a fair quote to do the other work I asked about. I will use him again. They were very responsive. I would tell others that you can trust them in your home and that they give you a fair price. I would say they would be very professional and would know what they were talking about.

John was terrific. My wife laughed that he talked to his tools like they were his friends. The job was done perfectly and frankly I think we really lucked out because John knew exactly how the fountain worked and knew exactly how it needed to be put together. (There were 3 levels of water). I would use these folks again in a heartbeat. Ron Briskman

John did a very nice job. He represented his company well. He gave us an estimate for some work that we were considering doing in the future and explained our options.

The electrician showed up timely, identified and addressed the problem, and happily answered several other questions. The outlet had failed because the original wiring was done incorrectly - to my surprise, I found out that there is no requirement in Arizona that an electrician actually be licensed. The Desert Mountain electrician stated that all of their electricians are licensed or would not be going on calls alone. It was clear that he knew his business when it took him but a second to identify the reason the outlet failed.
