It was a difficult job and it took them more time than anyone expected. However, they stuck to it and completed the job very satisfactorily.

The electrician was on time for the service. He listened to the problems I was having and then checked them out. He replaced the receptacle and removed the old alarm system. He checked the lights on the outside of the house near the pool. That will need further diagnosis which I will have done in the future. I am very pleased with the service. The technician was courteous and explained what he was doing. I would highly recommend this company for service.

We had a wiring issue in our crawl space on our older home. He showed up early and dived right in to working in our (very tight) crawl space. He worked hard for several hours fixing the wiring issues, keeping us informed on issues he found and answering any questions. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, honest, and thorough. We will definitely use them next time we need an electrician.

The repair man rejoined the loose cables and had time to spare, so he fixed 2 other problems I had with in an hour.

We recently had some strong wind gusts in North Scottsdale and suffered some damage to our home, most notably an outdoor hanging light on our patio dropped from its mount exposing the wires. After assessing the severity of the problem to be beyond our own skill set we did some research on Angie's list for local electricians with positive reviews. After settling on Desert Mountain Electric for its combination of being nearby and well reviewed, we called and scheduled an estimate for the work. My husband and son shut off the power to the backyard patio and removed the light fixture so our appointment (not being urgent) was scheduled for two days later in the week which was the first available time they had. A few months prior, we purchased an outdoor ceiling fan with light at Costco with the plans of installing it somewhere in our backyard. We had not gotten around to mounting it but is was assembled and needing installation. We had hoped to kill two birds with one stone by fixing our lighting issue at the same time so we explained our predicament to John the electrician when he arrived. After a precursory examination, he explained that adding wiring to a new region of the ceiling would require additional tools and labor so we decided to replace the old light with simply the fan. The installation took only a half hour and John was extremely professional. The fan and light work flawlessly and we were very pleased with our decision. He agreed to discount our payment having not had all the tools needed but a short trip to Home Depot later he was supplied and back working. The bill came to around $110 (Angie's list deal was $99 for hour of labor plus cost of parts )and he also gave us a rough estimate on some other work we were looking to have done. All in all, this was a very positive experience and we will undoubtedly use them again in the future.

Electrician John did an outstanding job. He was early for the appointment and worked until complete. Had to make a trip for parts. Will hire again if needed.

Jay arrived early in the day (I had only called the previous evening) and checked the connections in the box and looking for potential problems. He felt that everything looked to be in good order and that the problem may have been the meter itself which he said could have been defective. His visit reassured me and gave us peace of mind and though I could easily have been talked into getting a new box at that point, Jay felt that it was unnecessary and told me so. For his travel and his trouble, he didn't ask for a dime. Desert Mountain Electric is tops in my books. Honest, professional, courteous service are their trademarks. Thank you Jay!

It was GREAT!!!! We have had two other companies out to try and figure out why the lighting wouldn't work in our bathroom. One of them was completely stumped and the other one thought there was a loose wire in the wall somewhere. Which they told me it would be a few hundred dollars to fix. Neither of them were right. I decided to purchase a big deal on Angie's list for Desert Mountain Electric for a 3rd opinion. Thankfully I did!!! Within 10 minutes of John Barnett being here he figured out the problem and fixed right away! All it was was a loose wire in the electrical breaker box. John Barnett is excellent!!!! He knows exactly what he's doing and is a extremely qualified and thorough electrician!!! If we ever have any electrical problem again I will definitely use Desert Mountain Electric and specifically ask for John Barnett! Thanks so much John!!!!!!

After being out of power for almost 7 weeks and being told that an electrician wouldn't be available for another week, I called Jay. He and Colin were at our home within 2 hours and the work was performed that very day! I will never be able to thank Jay enough. He was delightful to work with, he even called us the next day just to check in. I would happily call them time and time again!

I have had two other companies out to repair my landscape lighting and was told it could not be fixed and that I needed an entire new system. This would have cost thousands! John from Desert Mountain was able to get 90% of all of my landscape lighting working. I was thrilled. He was professional, punctual and explained everything to me. I liked the service so much that I had him come back the following week to do some other things for me. Excellent. Young man phoned about 20 minutes out letting me know he was on his way. Arrived on time, went right to work. Knew everything about removing the old chandelier, assembling the new one and installing it. Job went very well. The young man was friendly. Time took a little over an hour. Cleaned up after himself. I phoned the company to let them know I was very pleased. Would use this company again and pass on their name to others.

It was great! On time, and VERY PROFESSIONAL. Removed a Swarovski crystal chandelier, and installed our new Zgallerie blown glass chandelier. Beautiful! Start to finish, punctual, knowledgeable, courteous, AND cleaned up the small mess. Desert Mountain.....you are beyond fortunate to have an electrician like this on your staff! Did such a great job, we had him back to install 2 recessed LED can lights and a dimmer, in our hallway, as well as properly remove wiring in the wall, from a sconce we removed. I would give same report for that job also.

Miguel removed and replaced to outside motion detectors, replaced a bathroom fan pulling together parts that I had and repaired outdoor electrical housings so they were stable. Gave advise on how to fix a couple of other potential issues. Very professional and fair in explanations of the best ways to address concerns.
