Response from Desert Mountain Electric LLC
We had to explain to the homeowner that the "solar" lights worked off a photocell and that he had to leave the switch on at the garage. His initial visit was a "free" quote and once he received it, he sent over 20 emails attempting to initiate another price. The work was performed and the owner even asked him while he was there if he was satisfied and happy, and was told yes. When the homeowner sent us an email at 11:20pm, we responded the next day. This homeowner attempted to change many things and confuse us with the costs and what the work was to consist of, just in his attempts to reduce the cost. When the work was completed, we attempted to collect, we were told to "invoice" him, and he left his house. When he contacted us because his "solar" lights were not working, we went and looked into the issues and once we tried to collect from his wife, she told us to contact him. We attempted numerous times to collect. We gave him an excellent rate, with excellent service. We never agreed to invoice him, and he was not happy because of that. In his profession, he expects payment the day that he see his patients, unless prior arrangements are made. WE expected the same courtesy. His attempts were aimed to confuse others in his attempts to achieve more than what is agreed upon. We are sorry that he felt this way, even after going out of our way for him. And everything was fine and working, until the final payment was due. I even told him several times on the phone if he is not satisfied after leaving the switch on to contact us. I am sure if the homeowner would leave the switch on, he will not have any other concerns. We cannot make everyone happy, especially those who attempt to get out of paying, and say negative things when the company went out of their way for him. It is really upsetting, but we were told in person that he was satisfied.
