Description of Work: Installed recessed lighting in kitchen. Rep claimed he had only four of five lighting units in truck despite my informing the office of the nature of the job. Took an unreasonable amount of time going to Home Depot to get the fifth unit so he could charge an hour of labor.

Description of Work: They installed two down lights in my living room with a dimmer switch. Since our foundation is a tension slab, we couldn't put in floor plugs so plugging in a lamp by our chair or sofas was hard to do without stringing the cords over path ways. Now I can read in my chair and I'm loving every minute of it! The young man who came to do the work was excellent and very personable. It was a great experience and I would recommend Desert Mountain to anyone - and, yes, I will use them again if and when I need electrical work done! The deal was great, too! Description of Work: We took advantage of Desert Electric's big deal for $75 to install our newly purchased ceiling fan. They installed an additional fan for an additional $75. Every step of the way was handled professionally. We did not have the fans at the time that we purchased the deal. They were very accommodating when we asked to delay installation for a month or so until we found the fan that we wanted. On the day of the appointment they called to confirm that they would be out. The installer called about 20 minutes prior to let us know that he was on his way. He was very professional and friendly. More importantly, he was very efficient in installing the fans. One fan was a very large 68" fan and he was able to manage it easily by himself. We could not be happier with the entire experience. The only odd thing was that we have 12' ceilings which is common in our area. The installer did not have a ladder big enough to access a 12' ceiling so we loaned him ours. Not a big deal; just curious. If we had not had a ladder, it would have been a real problem.

I was very impressed with the honesty, capability and professionalism of Will, who performed the work for me. Although it was a minor job, the price was well worth it. I highly recommend this company based upon my experience with them.

Description of Work: Exchanged the Electric Panel. Came on time and did a neat efficient job. I have a 200 amp service so it cost more than the $849 I purchased on Angie's list. The electric was off at 7:00 am and restored by 4:00pm. Would use Desert Mountain Electric again.

Description of Work: Asked desert mt electric to do several tasks. Install paddle fan // he said it would not be a good idea since it would leave a ring around the base where sheet rock had to be cut / This was not done // In bathroom we wanted 4 way plug put in. // again he said it couldn't be done. // thus as an alternative we asked for a second 2 prong electric box installed // d mt said it couldn't raise the wires in wall as wires were too short. as a result he had to disconnect ceiling fan. The only thing that was really accomplished other than a lot of holes in the walls was a light was installed in shower area. Basically felt either this electrician was either not that qualified or was in a hurry to do another job. It was a total waste of money. Wish he had never shown up. After this guy left I hired another electrician who did everything I needed to have done. He recommended a cap for the base of the ceiling fan which eliminated the sheet rock issue. In the bathroom he installed a 4 plug receptacle which we wanted and showed some further intelligence without destroying the wall by finding that the "short wires" were actually stapled and once he removed them the wires were the proper length and thus we had more connections and he could hook up our bathroom fan.
