Desert Investment Advisors

I am nearing the end of a 12 month contract for Property Management services for our rental property. When I began the contract, our previous tenant of 4 years was preparing to move out. Desert Investment Advisors made arrangements for all of the repairs, cleaning and painting required for prepare the property for a new tenant. The costs for these services seemed extremely high, but without estimates from other companies for comparison, I will assume these costs were reasonable to what another management company might charge. The repairs took several weeks longer than I expected, but they did secure our current tenant rather quickly. Since that time, I receive a monthly statement each month in a timely fashion, however I have not received a single rent payment in a timely fashion, without having to ask twice. Every month I email asking the status, get no response, email again, and am generally given some excuse about something not working correctly at the bank, and the payments come a few days later. Today is May 6th. I should have received the income for all rent payments my tenant made up through April 1st, but the last one I received was for February 1st. I still have not received a reply to my email dated April 29th. When the hot water heater broke several months ago, then tenant contacted the management company, who contacted me and told me I should call Lowe's or Home Depot. I am 1400 miles away, paying for their services to facilitate these matters, but yet somehow I still ended up on the phone handling it.
