"Thank you for your kind words Esteve. It was really nice to meet both you and your husband and I'm so pleased we were able to help."
I would highly recommend them for future service.
"Our pleasure [Removed member name]."
And I am glad that I did. From the moment we shook hands, I believed that Tim would Tim treat my data like it was his own. He was clear in his explanations and was careful to explain that he is very good at his work but he is not a miracle-worker. Well, you could have fooled me. He did wonders for my drives.
He Tim's initial recovery efforts did not meet his satisfaction. He recovered some files, but it bothered him (yes, it did) that he could not give me more of my valuable photos.
Then he remembered an old recovery method that sometimes worked for him. A very slow process, it sometimes restores files when other programs would fail. He gave it a shot. And it worked!
Not only that. Tim noticed an ad in the paper with a sale on external hard drives. He offered to fetch it and copy the restored files to the new hard drive (all I had to do is reimburse him. no extra charge to pick it up).
Yes, I paid over $500, but my case was severe. Your situation may cost you much less than that. But I highly commend him for his diligence, service attitude, and skill. He is the man for your toughest data problems.
And that is why I will definitely call on Tim if this happens again.
"Pleasure to meet you [members name], and many thanks for the review."
I had been working on my thesis for over two years. The various sections totaled hundreds of pages of research and writing. I did not back it up as I should have. My granddaughter accidently kicked my laptop when it was on a small table. The laptop flew across the room and crashed on the tile floor damaging its hard drive. I could not access any of the information. My thesis file was open when the laptop fell. I took it immediately to a local computer company and they could not recover the thesis file. They said the hard drive was just too damaged and the files were corrupt and/or deleted. I got back a few odd things from them, but I was desperate for the thesis files. I researched data recovery on the web and stumbled on Desert Data Recovery in Phoenix.
I spoke with Tim Homer, Senior Technician of Desert Data Recovery who told me any file that is open when a computer crashes is extremely hard to recover but he would try. I took my damaged hard drive to him and Tim began to work on it. He gave me an estimate upfront, which was very reasonable, and assured me if he could not recover my thesis file, there would be no charge.
Desert Data Recovery has great modern facilities, including a clean room. You can tell that Tim Homer is extremely knowledgeable about his work and cares about his customers. Data recovery is a skilled process of the most modern techniques that makes impossible recovery possible. Tim worked hard to recover my files. He rebuilt my hard drive and kept me informed about his progress. I was thrilled when he recovered my thesis file. He also opened all the other files the first company could not access!
I cannot recommend Desert Data Recovery and Tim Homer highly enough for their incredible skill, their fair pricing and their obvious integrity in dealing with their customers.
When we had a data drive with over 5 years of artwork on it fail the word panic does not begin to describe the situation. After a quick "Google" we contacted another firm in Tempe, www.datarecovery.com who quoted us anywhere from $400 to $2500 depending on the severity. The technician did a analysis of the drive and came back that there was some bad sectors but the damage was minimal with very good chance of recovery. The sales rep then called and wanted $2500 to fix. After questioning her pricing mysteriously the price came down to $1,000. Felt like I was at a used car lot but being desperate we went forward with very clear instructions we only cared about the "G" data partition, nothing else. After several anxious days we were told the drive was ready. We picked up the new external drive and after plugging it in realized quickly NONE of the data was restored just system files. A long story short - www.datarecovery.com are clueless. They claimed we could never get our data back and that was the best they could do. It was clear even for a non technical person they simply recovered the wrong part of the drive. After making one call we took the drive to DESERT DATA RECOVERY in Phoenix. Tom made no promises other than to do his best in within 48 hours we had a fully recovered drive in which every file was perfect at a very reasonable price.
Cannot say enough good about Desert Data Recovery and Tom and cannot warn people enough to stay away from www.datarecovery.com.
"Great to be of service to you. Remember to backup your data :-)"
