Dependable Door Systems

Work was contracted with Dependable Garage Door Service LLC through our home warranty company to fix the sensors. When the contractor arrived he informed us that he would not be able to fix the sensors because they were not covered by the warranty. This is not correct as I informed both the Warranty company and the Scheduler that the reason for the visit was the sensors. The contractor then proceeded to pressure us to pay out of pocket for the repair. After refusing he continued to pressure saying that we wouldn't be able to get the garage door closed, which we sent our son to go close and he was able to without issue. Shortly after Dependable Garage Door Service LLC failed visit I received a phone call from the warranty company stating that the claim had been denied because the contractor stated that the sensors were damaged due to items resting on them. This was a flat out lie as there have never been items resting on the sensors and now we have to fight with the Warranty to get a new and honest contractor out to our house to fix the problem. If you value honesty and integrity I would stay far away from Dependable Garage Door Service LLC.

Dependable Garage Door Repair answered an emergency service call for a broken spring on our garage door. They were able to accommodate us in 24 hours. They offered a 2-hour service window, and Wade (the technician and, I believe, owner) texted en route. He arrived within this scheduled time frame and was clean cut and friendly. Wade took time to explain the problem and how he would repair it. I also asked him his opinion on our garage doors (as they are quite old); he assessed the overall condition of the doors and explained how he could completely recondition the doors and all the parts to extend their life. He also gave some general information about new doors and costs so that we could compare. The information was useful and will help us make an informed choice about replacing or reconditioning our doors for the future. I felt Wade was sincere in answering my questions and offering suggestions--it was very low pressure. Most importantly, he repaired the spring in a timely manner (and cleaned up the mess), which allowed us to resume our usual and convenient routine of parking in our garage.
