They could do better on the cost for the speed of internet. It seemed to high, especially for super fast. I could use faster, but I just wanted to save money. The price tiers are average, at best. I was impressed with their responsiveness.
Description of Work: I called Cox Cable and they mailed the router. They didn't do the installation. I did self installation. They provide my internet service.

Our experience has been good. I think they were fast to respond, to come out and take care of any problem. I have also had them fix things over the phone with the TV and it has been good.

Tech guys came within the agreed time frame, but...it took hours to get the system up and running. After a day or two, the cable TV Contours system continued to be problematic. I made numerous calls to tech service and still not working correctly. I have to wait until next week for a tech to attempt to fix it. What a debacle!

We moved a box from one bedroom to another and all of a sudden it didn't work. The cable in the bedroom had not been installed properly. The man who did the repair was a nice guy who got right to work and installed everything correctly. My review is because it seems that everytime something goes wrong a complete reinstall is needed and we are stuck at home on a Sat. We must have to call on a problem at least 3 or 4 times a year.

Recently I purchased an upgrade to my TV service from "basic" to "economy". Over the course of about a month I did a lot of research and communicated with Cox over a variety of channels (email, online chat and telephone). Over the course of those interactions I was mislead by the person I ordered by Economy TV upgrade from and lied to by the person I called after initially ordering my update -- and I do not use these term lightly: 1) First of all I was never told I needed additional hardware in the form of a Cable TV box. If you could look at my history with calling Cox, you will see I called support 2 days after ordering the upgrade wondering why the new channels were not showing up. Only at that time I was told I needed a Cable TV box. 2) I specifically asked (on more than one occasion) if I only needed one physical Cable TV box to provide service to my second TV in the home. I was told all TV's in my home were services from the one Cable TV box I was getting. Recommend you become an expert before contacting Cox and get everything in writing.
Description of Work: At different times Cox representative via email, online chat and/or telephone provided me with incomplete information, misleading information or simply did not tell me the truth about their cable TV service.

Every month it seems that my charges increase. I pay for the top tier on internet and it is never at speeds that they advertise, which is ridiculous for technology that we have these days and more ridiculous is what they charge. If I could change provider for guaranteed speeds I would. Cancelled cable services and went with Dish because it was considerable less and all the rooms get allthe channels, including HD. Cox charges per box per room if you want the channels available throughout the house. They also changed their channel packages, which meant that I had to up a package just to get the channels that I watched reviously. Cox Cable is a nickel and dime outfit!!!
Description of Work: Ended up cancelling cable services.

They are not very organized when it comes to processing orders but when they want their money- totally different story

They are very helpful, courteous, and patient. Anytime that I have a problem with my internet, they will go above and beyond. They take their time with me when they are explaining what I should do to fix the problem. Their customer service is great.

Description of Work: I spend over $100 a month on Cox on phone internet and TV. I wish there was better competition. The advertised $25/$25/$25 bundle is a bait and switch joke. It is not possible to get reasonable level of basic services for that price. And the endless phone menu: what a joke for company that promotes phone services. When you finally get a person they are very patient abount expalining why everything is so expensive. It is infuriating. The quality of service is good but the price is a fortune. I need phone, TV, and internet and there is so little choice.

They were supposed to charge me a fee for coming out and fixing the internet, but they did it for free. I would tell the others that their service people are good. They fixed the problem I was having. I do not love their cable service, though.
Description of Work: I use Cox Cable for cable, internet, and services. The last they came out, they rewired the internet connection for me as there were some problems with it.
