I had previous unit almost 2 years...it performed its purification function satisfactorily, but some aspects of the normal maintenance were a real hassle. mainly rotating the mineral electrodes (2 of them)...when replacing the electrode chamber cap, it took several attempts to replace the end cap, which would leak unless extreme caution was taken. What a relief...no need to interact with the mineral electrode chamber now (separate from the oxidizer plate chamber, unlike the previous unit (electrodes and plates combined in one chamber). Also, there are 4 electrodes in the Clearswim, as opposed to 2 in the previous unit, which means a much longer interval between electrode replacement. The Clearswim is also a more robust system..all components are clearly beefier than the previous unit. Another big plus: the electronic control console has useful diagnostics and operating electrical values displayed, so the performance can be easily monitored. The purchase price of the Clearswim is also significantly less than the price of the previous unit was.

My kiddo has an allergy to chlorine. Our pool now has only natural minerals attacking the algae and so I don't have to worry about my kiddo in the water! I also absolutely love the feel of my skin. Some more perks that came true: suits don't fade, no red eyes and no green hair. It really is like "drinking water." So far we are very happy.
