CHOLLA CUSTOM CABINETS

The designer made a few mistakes in measuring and had to remake some cabinets. One mistake I had to have my carpenter change wall at my expense to make cabinets work. The owner of cholla told me I should have pointed out the designers mistake to him. As it involved about $400 and I wanted them to finish up the cabinets and get them installed, I agreed to pay that amount. If I hadn't found their mistake, the cabinets would not have fit and either been remade or we would have had to tear out two walls to make them fit and further delay the job. As it was, the job was delayed two weeks because they were behind schedule on another job. The overall project turned put nicely. I handled all demolition, prep work, granite and tile installation with my own crew of workers. They came back and made adjustments on the cabinets. I chose them as they were a local company and didn't want custom cabinets shipped in from across the country. I have had custom cabinets made in past on seven kitchens and felt they were costly. If I had more extensive cabinetry I would have price/quality shopped more, but wanted to get the project done as quickly as possible. Overall, I am pleased with the entire outcome. I was very specific in the design of the cabinets, size, rollers in cabinets, etc. a novice may not have gotten as much functionality out of this small kitchen area as I did. I thought the cabinets were attractive.

They are beyond good. They were very professional.

During the week long installation we noticed a color difference in the cabinet boxes and the Thermafoil doors. The boxes were off white, the doors were bright white. Cholla knew this and delivered the product anyway saying they though the color difference would not be noticed. We would not accept the product. Over the next three months side panels of Thermafoil had to be custom ordered to match the doors. Communication with KDC was confused and frustrating. KDC built the cabinet soffit wrong twice. The dry wall was a disaster. Cholla could not make the crown moulding fit it and a section of cabinets had to be torn out twice before the two companies got it right. In spite of all the problems Cholla's project managers, Bob Grantham and Sam, stayed on the job site for long hours and even worked weekends to correct more issues than there is space here to list. We believe Cholla Custom Cabinets to be an honorable company. Even though I rate them a D overall on this job - I would use them again - but with obvious cautions.

Cholla was recommended to us by the contractor we hired to help with a design/build kitchen remodel project. In order to suit our needs and budget, we chose a combination of standard and custom cabinetry. The work Cholla did was exceptional. There is absolutely no difference in the cabinets that were made custom versus the others. In addition, Cholla did amazing work on a custom desk surface and breakfast unit that now houses our microwave. Perhaps the niced added perk was that Cholla sent the most meticulous person we've ever met to install all the new hardware. The last thing I wanted to be responsible for was drilling holes in new cabinetry. All their workers were courteous and professional and we couldn't be happier with the end result.

EXCELLENT WORKMANSHIP. ALL CUSTOM CABINETRY WAS BUILT & STAINED PERFECTLY. INSTALLATION WAS COMPLETED VERY FAST. TRIM WORK WAS A MASTERPIECE. I'M VERY PLEASED.
