They are one of the best in the valley. They do very excellent professional work, they are on time, they clean up everything if they drop any insulation or if there was anything in the vacuum. They wear special covers over their shoes so that they don't get any dirt or water or anything in the house because it was raining at that time. They laid down special drops of cutting on the carpets so that nothing would carry through the house. They were on time.

He did the coupon work of evaluating the a/c unit. He was everything you would want. I would have used him for the new unit except that his price on the new unit was quite a bit higher than what I ended up purchasing. I would use him again and next time he may get the whole job. The fellow that I bought the new unit from quoted me 5 years ago on another a/c unit. He was too high at that time and did not get the job. But because he was professional and courteous I used him this time. The same may happen with Chas Roberts. The fellow left me with a good impression.

Chas Roberts performed 2 services: 1. add refrigerant for $120. 2. Electronic leak detection, also $120. The technician's diagnosis of the leak detection showed the source to be the evaporator coil. His recommendation was the complete replacement of the 5 year old Trane system (installed by Chas Roberts in 2009). After expressing my disappointment, the technician told me that Trane equipment is poor quality and he recommended using Goodman equipment for the replacement. Having had good experience with Trane equipment in the past, I called another technician for a second opinion. The second technician used a Yellow Jacket AccuProbe UV Leak Detector (an instrument capable of identifying a refrigerant leak in a R410A AC system) and did not detect a leak at the evaporator coil. A leak, however, was detected (and repaired) at the low pressure service valve. After describing the findings of the 2nd technician to a Chas Roberts supervisor, (Robert), a second "Master Technician" from Chas Roberts was dispatched to recheck the evaporator coil. The second technician was not able to detect a coil leak using his leak detector but said he could see visual evidence of a leak. The second technician said that Chas Roberts did not provide electronic detectors capable of finding small leaks in R410 systems (which again calls into question the findings of the 1st Chas Roberts tech) As of October 1, 2014 the system is working well. I requested that Chas Roberts refund only the portion of the service charge related to leak detection ($120) and was denied. Though I have used Chas Roberts for all my HVAC needs for many years as a residential consumer and a spec home builder, I am now unable to recommend their products or services.

They arrived right on time and there were no troubles with scheduling. They gave me a quote for my cooling unit. Their costs ended up being three times more than company I hired to complete the repair. They were a fine, but I did go with a lower bid.

I was able to schedule an appt right away with the person on-line. She was very nice. The first available opening in the afternoon, as I requested, was the following day. The service technician (Chuck) called first. He was prompt and courteous---very nice guy. he examined the unit and explained my options and the costs. I chose to add freon. It was the least expensive and I don't know how long I will be at this address. He was pleasant, helpful (he even helped me change my filters when he checked them) and did not exert sales pressure, merely answered my questions and explained the reasons behind each choice and the prices. Iwas happy with the experience. I don't know what the costs are from other providers, so can't respond to pricing with any degree of knowledge. I did get a very good deal from Angie's List.

Was able to set up appointment after normal business hours and have a tech in before 7:30 am. Tech was great and got the job done. Would have been done sooner but had to get the part and come back later. Would have liked a parts/labor breakdown because it seemed a little pricy for less than 2 hours of work and a part that was no more than $125 Overall I'm happy with the service and will use them again. Have used them in the past and the service has always been great. May cost a little more but good service is worth it.

They were very professional and told me "exactly" what was going on. They gave quality information.

Arrived on time excellent service but not cheap

They were wonderful! It turned out great! They had to add some Freon and now the AC is working great. The guy I worked with was one of the greatest guys I have ever worked with. We would call them again if we needed to.

Chas Roberts came out quickly. Our air conditioning went out on the hottest day of the year and had no cool air most of the day. We noticed a strange noise coming from the attic equipment. The service tech said it was a motor that was burnt up. If we would have registered the motor / air conditioner when we purchased the house NEW in 2010, the motor would have been covered under warranty. The tech did not have the motor so we had to wait 24 hours until the tech was able to obtain the correct motor. (Chas Roberts was the original installer of the unit when the house was built, nothing about filling out the warranty was mentioned until the day we had service.) The following day, the motor was installed and the house was cooling off again. Our invoice was over $600 for the motor and the labor, and SHOULD have been covered under warranty. It was not the tech's fault for this oversight, the tech was very good at his job, working in the attic on the hottest day of the year. I would give Chas Roberts an "F" grade for not informing their customers about the warranty. That seemed like a scam and they could have done better to provide the motor at a discount or something, but no. Anyway, the unit is working and we will be using another company for our heating and cooling the next time.

They were incredibily responsive and were on the job Saturday morning after a late Friday afternoon call. 4 other vendors we contacted could not come before Tuesday. Not good when it 110? They were professional, communicative, and clean.

The repair man was a little late arriving, but this is understandable, since you cannot predict how long a job will take. He was professional and fixed the problem. One of our year old units had stopped working, it was under guarantee, therefore there was no cost associated with this service.

I do not recommend them. It was a bait and switch situation. I didn't trust them. They were only interested in pushing a life-time service plan.

They were very good and I would highly rate them. It was perfect and everything went well. They were very responsive to my request for information and the quote. The quote was developed by the guy expected and I used them.

I was very pleased with their service. I've been using them for ten years. They have a CAT Program wherein they do tune ups for your system and they promised that if you are in that program and if I have a problem with my heating & A/C they will respond within 24 hours. Unfortunately, we have no necessity to use them but based on experience they will come if they could. We are very happy with them. They are excellent. A couple of years ago they have to replace one part of the A/C which was under warranty then seven months later, that same unit was damaged again but they were here within an hour. They were very good and their price is reasonable. They kept my system right and it was fifteen years old. They were professional and knowledgeable. They take off their shoes when they come in. They were very straight forward too.

My experience was very good. They were responsive, clean and they picked up after themselves. They had a quality control person come out to make sure everything was correct after they finished the job. They took before and after pictures to have on record. They even wore booties inside our home. They also put down drop clothes for walkways to ensure they didn't leave a mess through the house.

It didn't cost anything because it's under warranty. It was perfect. They got here fast, they fixed it and they're great. They do a good job. They're responsive, they have a good sense of urgency and their staff is pleasant.

They seemed to be pretty good. They were efficient, great, and very punctual.

Everything was excellent. We've been using them for about 12 years.

!Chas Roberts did the install on our system in 2008. On one of the systems they installed a one way filter backwards, which put excessive load on one of the compressors. It took 2 years and another company to figure out what they did wrong. Last year we asked the tech that came out to do our service and to purchase an extended warranty and he said to wait until our next service to do so. Well today was the day and Chas Roberts said we missed the cutoff date by 27 days. Now we have a system that will fail within the next 5 years and will be stuck purchasing 2 new units within this time. 2 units will run around $12,000.00. The moral of the story: do not listen to their service techs and get and second opinion to inspect their work. We will not use this company ever again. Buyer be ware!

Technician was nice, the price was ridiculously high. Will never call them again.
