 + -1 moreIt's been 6 weeks now and I haven't seen any evidence of the termites still being around. We chose them because they did the original termite inspection when we first bought the house. Their rates are reasonable.
Description of Work: We had a termite problem. They found the evidence of termites and drilled holes around the home and put chemical down in the ground.

 + -1 moreThey quoted me on the phone and were able to schedule treatment within about 3 days from my call. They showed up just a little early for the appointment which was great. They first checked to be sure the problem I had was, in fact, termites and then completed the treatment. They were efficient and seemed to be very thorough. It took about 1 1/2 hours to scrape the gravel away from the house, drill holes inside the garage along the edges of the walls, fill everything with whatever termite poison they have and refill the concrete holes and replace the gravel. They also drilled holes in the wall inside near the termite activity and under the sinks to inject something there as well. The holes in the interior wall were filled with spackle so will still need to be painted but I'm sure this is probably standard. Both men were pleasant and answered my questions nicely. I do wish they would have worn boot covers on my white carpet, but to their defense, and never asked them to. Other than that, everything was fine. They give a two year guarantee which was supposed to be emailed to me with a receipt - treatment was Friday and it is late Monday afternoon and I haven't yet received it. The quoted price of $395 did not include an $8 and quot;stateand quot; fee. I prefer getting the full rate on the phone instead of little surprises after work is done, but all in all, I would recommend.

 + -1 moreCustomer service and scheduling is severely lacking. I decided three months ago to try BB and had a technician scheduled for a Saturday morning. Didnt show up, finally called after lunch and they said mis communication w tech and would be over in an hour. Showed up 2-1/2 hrs later. Treated house. I set up service on a monthly basis. I put up w delay and re-schedule because the cost was right. The following month on the day we had scheduled, no show, no call. I called and no record of apptment. Re-scheduled. Waited again, new tech showed up late, and was not familiar w/ house. Treated, scheduled for the following month, then left. I called direct to confirm monthly schedule. This month rolls around, no show, no call, nothing. I call again to. Re-schedule. Set up for Saturday morning. On Saturday again no show , no call. Called BB and they claimed that service was for following Saturday ( they say). Well, end of that saga. I'm a patient person but I did reach my limit. Looking for a new service to treat house.

 + -1 moreBudget brothers had treated our home when we purchased it 12/2011, We noticed trails from termites in June and had them retreat on 6-5-13. Our home was up for sale, I recommended Budget Bros for the termite inspection for the buyers, Budget Brothers inspection report said we needed full treatment and some boring on the patio. I called them and they said the inspector's report was an error, it was upsetting to us that a provider that had been treating for termites tells new buyers that we had a problem that hadn't been treated.

 + -1 moreI've worked with Budget Bros for about 3 years. We had a home in the Tramonto area that we had regular service for scorpions and a termite treatment. We purchased a home in New River and also had a termite treatment prior to closing. After moving in we noticed an excessive amount of bee activity and bees in our home. I called Budget Brothers based on my past experience and they're responsiveness. The receptionist was very polite and attentive and took all our details, she was through in her explanation of when a technician would be out. The technician went out the same day however didn't have a ladder tall enough to reach our roof. I called the next day to follow-up (since I live out of state) to see if they had treated the property but they explained the ladder issue and said someone was on the way out and that the tech would call me once the service was complete. Bret called me immediately after the service to explain the size of the hive, the treatment and explained that we did infact have Africanized Bees. Bret was extremely attentive and was very polite and personable. I'm a current customer and will remain a customer of Budget Bros....and highly recommend that you ask for Bret. What a great guy and pleasure to work with.

 + -1 moreThe previous owner bought a 2 year warranty with Budget Brothers which transferred to us after we bought the home, so this service was no charge for us. There was a mix up with the schedule at first. I had rescheduled for Budget Brothers to show up at my house on Tuesday instead of Monday, but they showed up on Monday anyway. It worked out because they showed up early on Monday, which didn't conflict with my other appointments for the day. The guys were polite and professional. They drilled holes in my ceiling, which were very small and applied a foam chemical into the ceiling. Once the chemical dried, you could hardly tell they did anything to the ceiling. They also applied foam to a crack in our garage. They were quick and left no mess whatsoever. I feel confident they took care of the termite problem, but I know they will be happy to come back if I experience any more problems.

 + -1 moreThey are also used by the Board of Realtors in Phoenix. I was concerned that since they were so much cheaper about the quality of work. We asked them how they could compete with such low prices which was anywhere from $700.00 to $900.00 dollars less than the previous 3 companies we had received bids from they explained they were running a special which I found through their Ad on the Internet. Volume was their main reason and the way they advertise. So They did 2 homes for us and we were pleased with the service and the guarantee. I would use them again and recommend them if they stand by their warranty I have 2 years to see if they took care of the problem.
Description of Work: Jeff Miklus came and gave us a 4th estimate. I checked them out with the BBB, Angies List and U Fix It. most of their customers seemed to be very pleased. . They did our home and a rental property we had purchased. The other 3 Companies did not find anything active and they did and showed us right away. They came on time called the night before to confirm. We had moved most of the furniture from around the exterior walls in the 1 room and shoveled all the gravel from around the outside of the walls. When Whalvey (gentleman's name) came he wanted to know why we had done all this hard work that it was part of their job and put all the rock back when they were done. They left no mess spent a great deal of time, explained and drew picture of everywhere they had drilled inside and covered. You couldn't even tell. Job was done in a timely manner.

 + -1 moreAfter getting estimates from 2 places from Angies list, I chose Budget Bros and called to set up a time. They were somewhat inflexible making it cleart to me what times they could/could not come out. I picked a morning that I could work from home and we set the time for 10a. By noon they had not arrived and I had to go to work, so the treatment didn't happen that day. When I called to re-schedule, they again told me one or two times THEY could make it. We scheduled for noon on a Tuesday so that I could come home at lunch. They called that morning to let me know they need to be there earlier to accomodate THEIR schedule. We compromised and made it 11:00a. For the extrerior treatement they moved patio furniture, planters, etc. and did not move them back. For the interior treatement they walk throughout the house leaving dirt and mud on the carpet and tile. In the garage, they dripped their chemical liquid and did not clean it up. Overall, it was clear that they were in a hurry.

 + -1 moreWhile moving some boxes in her craft room, my wife found a termite cast(tunnel). We'd not had the home treated before and decided we'd waited long enough. A neighbor up the street was having his periodic pest treatment and we asked the young man doing the application for information on his company. He immediately provided us with a brocure on the company, as well as a page of coupons for various treatments they were offering. Using their coupon, we would save approximately $100 from what would have been their normal fee (and the normal fee quoted by another company.) We contacted the company, after checking Angie's List, and set up an appointment for the following week, at a time convenient to us. Two young men showed up right on time, asked us what we had found, explained what they wanted to do and see, then got right to work. They were thorough and done in approximately 1.5 hours. They explained to us what to expect, and what to do within the first few weeks, and month following the application, should we see any termites. They also explained the two year warranty and renewal options. They made a special effort to explain the safety needed around the still wet/damp areas where the application occurred. All in all, a very professional couple of guys. We were well satisfied.

Description of Work: A treatment for termites was scheduled for Saturday morning. The 2 workmen were to drill thru the garage floor and apply the treatment. In their first drill, they hit the main water line and turned off the water to the house, promising to get a plumber out to fix the leak. This required that our garage floor be broken up to gain access to the water line. The plumber arrived and began work by about 11 AM. By 6 PM he still had not repaired the line and walked off the job saying he couldn't fix it. Budget Bros tried without success to get other plumbers out to repair the line, and asked us if we had a plumber we could recommend. We had used Alpha Omega Plumbing in the past and suggested them. Budget Bros called and made arrangements with Alpha Omega to come and negotiated a price to be paid by them for the repair. However, Alpha Omega then called us and required that we pay them directly a fee of $450 which we found later was more than their negotiated fee with Budget Bros. If we didn't agree to pay them directly, they wouldn't come. After all day with no water, we agreed to their terms. By 11:30 PM, we finally had water restored to our home. The plumbing difficulty was compounded by the first plumber who had bent the copper water line further under the concrete while trying to make the repair. This resulted in the need to break up more of our garage floor to gain access to the water line. Fortunately for us, we had only paid Budget Bros. half of the fee for termite extermination. After their owner realized our predicament with Alpha Omega's demand for payment, he agreed to repair our garage floor and refund the amount we paid over the original contracted amount for extermination. The workers arrived the following week to repair the garage floor and attempted to fill the opening with dirt and put a thin layer of concrete in the garage floor. We insisted that it be replaced with 4" of concrete, which required that they go out and purchase more concrete. The floor is now repaired and we are still awaiting our refunded overpayment from Budget Bros.

We had not had time to move our stuff, so they drilled what they could and came back the next day to finish the job. They charged less than half of the other estimates. The crew was very friendly. We haven't seen any more termites since they came out six months ago.

They took great care of me, being a single mother $250.00 savings was huge. When the buyers did a walk thru two weeks later, they were impressed with the way my house was treated and called budget brothers to start a monthly pest service with them. I'm moving out of state so I wanted to let other people know how great budget brothers termite and pest was.
Description of Work: Jeff came out to our house we were selling to give us a estimate for termite work. His company was referred by our real estate agent. They gave us an estimate ($250.00 less) than the company who did the inspection.
