He was very efficient, and urged me to consider replacing my water heater and softener because they were more than 10 years old. Because the water softener was emitting gold beads into the water lines and were found in my commode tanks we opted to disconnect the water softener. I appreciated his explanations and thoroughness.

He was thorough in his work and the repairs worked flawlessly. I was very impressed with his professionalism and his friendly demeanor. I will DEFINITELY call Ben Franklin plumbing for ALL my plumbing needs. These guys are the absolute BEST I've ever employed to do plumbing work!

Great technician. Juan. Very prompt and helpful. Gave me an honest evaluation about potential future problems I might have. Also made some good suggestions about easy maintenance I can perform to extend the life of my plumbing system & hot water heaters. I would recommend and use this company and especially the technician again. This was a great value but more importantly I have found a reliable and professional company to use when I need it.

Unfortunately, the tech they sent did not know that I had pre-purchased an Angie's List deal. He did not know any details of what was included, so I had to tell him. Even then, he did not seem too interested in completing all the items on the list. Sadly, I am not sure he did the water heater service correctly, because as he checked another water valve he didn't know the general rule of "righty-tighty, lefty-loosey", I thought all plumbers knew that! It's too bad, because I lost my confidence in Angie's List as well.

Apparently this plumbing company does not need any new business. I contacted them because their ad on Angie's list stated " We do anything and everything related to the delivery of water into your home and all drain related work." A rather unprofessional young woman answered the phone and I explained that I was interested in obtaining two quotes, one for a complete re-plumb of my entire house and a separate estimate for a "temporary" work around for my shower and kitchen. She informed me that I would have to pay for a service call in order to schedule a visit for an estimate. I commented that I thought it was a little unusual to charge a service call fee for an estimate for a full house re-plumb and she informed me that they didn't really have time to schedule that sort of work at this time anyway. Apparently, they not only DO NOT do anything and everything related to the delivery of water into your home but they actually require that you pay them in advance only to be told that they do not have time to provide you with any service. Maybe the woman I spoke with simply needs a class on how to render customer service. Or then again, based on the giggling in the background, maybe she simply didn't want to take the time to perform her job to obtain a new customer. A new customer who is looking for a new plumbing company to do an extensive, and expensive, complete re-plumb of my house. Very, very disappointed.

I bought an Angie's List deal for the water heater flush and whole home plumbing inspection because I had concerns about a few things. As promised, I received a call when the technician was 15-20 minutes away and he arrived as stated. He flushed and inspected my water heater and answered all of my questions. At the end of his thorough inspection of my entire home...every toilet, tub/shower, laundry room, bathroom shutoffs, faucets, toilets, kitchen shutoff & faucet, outsides spickets and valves...he went over things with me in detail and let me know what could be considered priority and what to watch. He gave me estimates but not once did he try to sell me anything! I love that! Punctuality, education, honesty and no pushy sales pitch, that's how to earn my business. I won't be calling anyone else from now on.

Showed up promptly, checked and diagnosed, offered quote that was significantly lower than others received. Main sewer line from house to street had a section that settled and was causing drain backups. Plumber called in help and had problem fixed that same day. I had a commitment that required I be out of town when repair was finished so it was several days until I could see the end result. All drains drained and toilets flushed well. Only issue I had was they'd cut through the drip line main line and the repair hadn't held so water had leaked pretty badly over the week until I returned. The sinkhole that was created by the underground leak wasn't hard to find and fixed it myself. When contract for repair was signed it does absolve them from landscaping issues so I didn't call to complain. Otherwise, a good job done very quickly at easily 1/2 the price that other plumbers had quoted.

I was very happy with them. They have replaced several things for me including a water purification system, hot water heater, and all upgrades and I've never had a problem. Everything is done up to code. They're very knowledgeable and informative. They're able to answer questions. They cover their boots and other professional things they do. It's a cut above. I'm very pleased. I think it's certainly a reasonable cost. They've always taken care of any problems or questions I may have had.

.Mark arrived on time and worked hard to complete work in shortest time. He was very courteous and explained everything as he went along. We were very satisfiled with his work. Rated price as good because we have no idea as to price. Highly recommend Benjamin Franklin and you'll be lucky if you get Mark.

Very responsive, answered the phone off hours on the weekend and were able to install a new water heater the same day (again on the weekend). Very quick, very professional.

Need to determine if HOA or home owner will be responsible.

They always fix things beautifully. They give a thorough inspection to make sure that there are not any additional problems before they leave.

We paid this company an annual fee to be a "preferred member." We have used them in the past and have been satisfied with the work the plumbers did. But this time, we needed a plumber's advice on the weekend to help us determine if we had a leak and whether we needed service. We called three times and reached customer service representatives who refused to allow us to speak with a plumber by phone. They all insisted that we schedule the plumber come to our house on an emergency basis at premium, off-hour prices, just to answer our question. At that point, we didn't know whether we needed a service call or not. We certainly did not feel like "preferred members"--we felt like their ATM machine. So we called another plumber we found here on Angie's list. He returned our call right away and explained what to do until he could get here--for free--we had not paid to become his "preferred members." This is the kind of service we expect, and we expect the service to be even better when we're paying for nothing but "preferred" status. This is the second Ben Franklin Plumbing has disappointed us in two months. A month earlier, we (preferred members at that time, too) called to obtain a quote for a dishwasher installation. The representative, whose job appears to be blocking customers from getting information unless they pay for a visit, was not only unresponsive, but she was rude and condescending--interrogating us and telling us we should know better than to ask because we're members! A manager called us back to apologize for her behavior--you'd think he'd give us the quote, but instead, all he did was keep exclaiming, "You are members!" As if we didn't know it--that's why we called them. Their phones are answered by corporate call-center representatives who act like alligators in a moat around the plumbers. When we tried to cancel our membership and get our $89 back, one of these alligators told us we had to put our request in writing--thought there is nothing in the contract that states this requirement. We sent a letter via fax and US mail. A week later we received the check reimbursing us--at least they got that right. Too bad, the plumbers we've used through this company are good...if you can get to them.

There was something wrong with the faucet at the main entrance to the house. We didn't have water for something like 20 hours. The repair was fine. Everything went alright although it was on a weekend. The customer service was fine. My husband handled all that because it was outside. Because I hadn't had any water for many hours, I wasn't in a very happy frame of mind. Things went fine. It was a weekend and it had to be done so I would think the price was pretty fair.

It went very well and we feel comfortable using this plummer again.

I called them at 9 am and they promised they would send someone over that day. The conversation was polite, friendly,& efficient. They also told me that they thought it would probably be at the end of the day but they would keep me posted. By 4:30 pm, I was beginning to expect a call that they would have to come the next day. However, by 5 we received a call from the plumber saying he s going to be there today. The gentlemen arrived at about 5:45. Although tired from a busy day, he was polite, authentic, cheerful & dealt with my difficult mother with great tact. He arranged for a new furnace part to be sent and installed the next day. We were so pleased with the work, the attitude and his helpfulness that we signed up for the one year service program. We heartily recommend them.

I didn't use them because of the price. They are coming out next week to do some work.

This is our second year using this company. We purchased their $89 annual membership package which includes one free annual inspection with water heater draining; 10% discounts on all repairs/installations; referral discounts; and a $25 coupon for future work. So far, they have sent three different plumbers to our house for various projects (you may request the same plumber); all have been highly competent (able to do any job on-the-spot); professional; courteous; and clean. The plumbers always show us any damage that is occurring and explain our options (never pressure us to have the work done). The prices may be a little higher than elsewhere, but the plumbers come out quickly when needed; arrival is prompt and confirmed by phone in advance and on the day of service; office staff will respond/contact via e-mail; the work is alway well done; and the plumbers take the time to explain whatever you need/want to know. We think we get good value for the money.

Great. The problem occurred 0900 Sunday, (Father's Day). From the time of the call to their office to arrival at my house of the operator was less than an hour. The operator was very courteous and efficient getting the problem taken care of (Drain rotted out) again in under an hour. Making for a much better Father's Day. The anticipated costs were upfront, and though a little high I thought, they were perfectly acceptable to me under the circumstance. No surprises. Well worth using Ben Franklin.

The are a bit costly depending on the job.

The people from Ben Franklin Plumbing are fantastic! They have a great yearly check-up program and are always helpful and polite. They clean up perfectly after they are done and I have a great rapport with them. They are a little higher in terms of price, but I don t mind because they always do such a great job.

They came around to give us an estimate and they came the next day. They were right on time. We have only had one experience with them, but we felt that they were very helpful in explaining what we were going to get and how it was going to work.

Everything about them was very professional from the initial phone call to when they arrived. They were great and really represented the company in a professional manner. They were on time and worked very quickly and did an accurate job. I would definitely use them again; they are a great company.
