Description of Work: I have used Benefit Air Conditioning LLC 2-3 times for heating and air conditioning. Once they replaced the air handling unit inside the house. The last time they came to fix something in the air conditioning unit.

Description of Work: I have dealt with Benefit Air for a few years and am always happy with their work. They schedule my furnace/AC maintenance to suit my personal schedule; they turn up when they say they will; they are efficient and always clean up after themselves. They take the time to explain to me what needs to be done, and I am confident that my system is being taken care of properly and that I am not being sold any parts or labor that are not necessary. They are honest! I have a service contract with them and it gives me the peace-of-mind to know that my HVAC system is being looked after properly. It is especially nice that they contact me when it is time for my service. I appreciate that because it is easy to overlook when life gets really busy.

Description of Work: I was referred to Benefit Air by a realtor who flipped alot of properties and seemed very good at finding good contractors that not only worked for a good price, but also were reliable, and timely and would always come back to check on a job. I almost bought some investment properties back in 2007 but thank god held off on it until the market settled down. However, one of the benefits (no pun intentded) was having this great referrel source for a while. I am actually a licenced Professional engineer who has developed large HVAC and electrical projects for institutional clients. I hired Benefit Air to maintain my home unit and a couple of other houses. They always did good job, explained everything, were nice, reliable, honest and friendly. Then in my own house the units were very old and while Benefit Air was willing to keep them going it was obvious that they needed replacement. Benefit air did the whole design of two units for a 4,000 sq. ft. house. They did not pressure for replacement, and we even worked out a deal where money spent maintaining the unit last time, was refunded (they new I should have replaced it earlier). We did two new compressors and two new air handlers for $15,000. They were Trane XL 16 and 15 SEER. I chose these SEER ratings based on price and the return on investment after APS rebates. They worked everything out with the APS rebate, and Trane gave a healthy rebate at the time.So total costs were probably around $12,000 They also gave a great deal on the service and have followed through on it even though the deal, stuck during the economic tsunami, includes 10-yr in the initial cost. They have been extraordinary good about following through with the service. The air handlers were in the laundry room and they worked with me to minimize the space they took up in the room and the pipes were put out of site. They also recycled the old equipment and took it the scrap yard. When my Trane rebate got lost in the shuffle they called Trane and made sure I got it. The relationship they have with Trane came in handy more than once in the project follow-through to my benefit. You can trust Benefit Air to do these things: 1. Tell you the truth about repair vs. replacement decision. 2.Properly size the units for efficiency not just go larger for more $$$. 3.Follow-through on service with consideration to what is best for your financial situation. 4.Not to price gauge or highball bids as some contractors do when they are busy. 5.Provide reliable service at a reasonable price. I wish the governmant would reduce taxes on small businesses like Benifit Air. I am glad I caught them during the worst economic deression of our time. They are the ones that are solving the economic mess and hiring people now. Also when I bought my house there was a container of refrigerant sitting there so they weighed it and gave me there cost per pound for it which I appreciated.

Description of Work: Benifit air did a nice custom air conditioner installation. We installed the best equipment -- Trane XL 16 and XL-15. They did not push for more expensive units. they worked with me as far as findinding the efficiency and cost of the unit that would optimize my utility rebate. Actual cost was $15,000 for a ten ton , a five ton and new HVAC duct work. They came back several times to install the ductwork in such a way as to minimize interference with space in laundry room. They followed through and made sure I got the rebates from APS and from Trane so the net cost was much lower than their cost. Also a tax credit is given. The units ahve a ten year warranty and they service them extremely well.
