Great front- end explanation of process and material choices. Once I picked the finish the project was scheduled. The work took three days as planned. Very happy with outcome!! I've had no issues with peeling or flaking.

What a wonderful experience. We were in need of having our pool decking resurfaced. After wasting much time with large pool companies to give us a quote and a time frame we became extremely frustrated. At that point we went to Angies list to try a find a company to do our work. We read many reviews and after reading the reviews of Arrowhead Deck Resurfacing, LLC we decided to give them a call. As we were not physically present to meet with them we did all via phone, emails and text. Contact was made with John Trice. He arrived at our property in Az and called me and we walked through what we want done. He then provided us with a bid which he emailed to us. I called him and received his voice mail but he promptly returned my call. We discussed the work to be performed and answered all my questions and concerns. At that point we accepted his bid. Our time frame was to try and get completed before we returned home at the end of the month. When we arrived the job was completed and you would not have even known they had been here except that our pool decking looked like brand new. We would definitely recommend Arrowhead Deck Resurfacing and John Trice. This job was done in a timely fashion and the quality was excellent. We are not normally people who would do this type of job without being present but the professionalism was the turning point.

Could not say enough about the quality of work. The end result was a very good looking pool deck. The original bid was for an area about 4 feet around our pool and the lip of the pool itself. They also decided that it would look better to include an extended area behind the diving board which included a seating area. Almost a third more than their bid. They did not charge us extra. Totally on them to see the need and complete it to their satisfaction. Good employees, very clean, always on time and worked all day very hard. Never asked us for anything just did the job and left. They prepped the area for a day as we had planting around the deck and they were diligent about protecting our landscaping and planting. The owner was pleasant, fair and came up with a couple of ideas that the two other pool bidders did not suggest. They were very professional in everyway. Including the clean up and follow-up. The office called to determine our level of satisfaction. We could not have been more satisfied with the process. This job had the potential to be very messy and difficult but they handled each step cautiously and put down many plastic protectors around the pool and house to keep our home clean from dust and dirt. Fantastic work all around.

John was very responsive, making a first visit within two days of my call and at my convenience. He examined and measured the pool deck and patio. He explained that the cool deck treatment on the pool deck was decaying partly because of the salt from the pool coming up through the concrete. He recommended stripping the old surface down to concrete and applying an epoxy primer to help prevent this from happening. He went over all the options from textures/surfaces and left me with an estimate for each of the options. I left for a few months and on returning he was able to come out on the same day I called. We again went over the options and picked a color from samples. We decided to go with a lace texture and have the epoxy primary both on the pool deck and the covered patio. He was very patient with my wife and I and helped us with recommendations. He gave us a 10% discount for Angie's List. He called us a week later with availability of his crew to start the work the following Monday. The first day was spent grinding the old finish down to concrete. Two workers spent the whole day at this very labor intensive job. The next days were spent applying the different layers of the finish with a final painting and sealing on the 5th day. The pool deck and patio look great!. They took great pains to prevent any material from entering the pool and masked off all of the plantings. They cleaned up thoroughly. I am very impressed with their hard work and professionalism Would highly recommend their services and watching the process, clearly demonstrated the reasonableness of the cost for this job.

John Trice and his crew resurfaced our patio just after the new year. We have a very large patio that was in very poor condition. There were huge cracks in many areas and the old covering was badly faded. The surfaced was sanded down and the cracks were straightened and filled with concrete. A primer layer of concrete was then put over the entire patio, followed by a second layer that was hand textured. Next, we picked out colors with John's help. The patio was then painted and sealed. Everything went as expected. The crew was on time, they were genuinely concerned and very professional. I would recommend them to other customers.

We are very happy with the results and overall look. John is very personable and conscientious. The work started on time and was carried out in a very professional manner. Each day, the crew cleaned up the yard, and were back early the next day to continue. This job took 6 days to complete. Everything went great until one little glitch in the final step when the sand is applied and then the deck is sealed. We ended up with some excess sand in spots which looked like white salt deposits. I called John about it, and he came right out and came up with a plan to correct it. The spots needed to be sanded a little, restained and then the whole thing was given another coat of sealer. The issue was corrected to our satisfaction. The flagstone option was the most expensive way to go, but we love the look! We picked 3 colors and the grout color. It's an amazing process and it takes some creative skill. John and his men did a great job overall and we highly recommend his company.

I would recommend John and his crew. Very professional with an attention to detail. They were able to clean the garage floor without harming my cabinets. The final work was excellent.

We selected this contractor directly from Angie's List, which is the first time we have done this. The customer service from the phone call to the final inspection of the work was great. John was prompt with all his appointments and his workers were also on time. The workers took great pride in their work too. We were able to choose the colors to be blended for our stone texture. John has a good color sense and was able to guide us through this process. The completed project is beautiful and we wish we had done this years ago!

They gave me an accurate estimate with a start date and and end date. They showed up on time and were very professional and accomplished what they were scheduled to do each day and finished the job right on time. Very good results. Very happy with the floor. John followed up with me to be sure I was happy with the job and that all was done properly.

John was very good at returning my call and emails. I received the info I needed in a timely manner. He answered all my questions and gave me a solid estimate with options. Only reason we did not end up using his company was a family member came forward with a personal recommendation. Will keep him in mind for the future for sure.

I called several companies before I settled on Arrowhead Deck Resurfacing......I came back to this company because I felt this would be the company one to do a proper job...... This work was done at a rental property we own; Arrowhead was very willing to work with our tenant on her availability..... All in all, an easy and positive experience.......

John and team arrived on time each day, did exactly what they told us was the plan, and finished the project over 5 consecutive days. We got everything we paid and asked for. All interactions with his staff were very professional and courteous. Cool deck looks brand new! Extremely happy with arrowhead and the job they did. I'd recommend them to anyone.

They did an absolute beautiful job! It is just gorgeous. Every worker on the job was very kind, pleasant, and easy to work with. Anytime we had any questions or suggestions, they immediately addressed them. They finished the job when they said they were going to. I would highly recommend them.

Foremost - we believe homeowners are better served by defining their expectations and matching it against examples of the provider's work. John will be glad to show you examples of his work so you can decide if it's a match! We contacted John Trice, owner of Arrowhead Deck Resurfacing the first week of June. We were so impressed with his knowledge, experience, and manner -- and his reviews on Angie's List -- that we hired him without interviewing other suppliers. Besides owning the company, he has over 20 years of hands-on personal experience. John also gave us a recommendation for a company that could re-surface and re-tile our pool (Mike's Construction), and that was a perfectly delightful experience. Every single member of John's crew was professional, responsive, prompt, and respectful. The two young men who removed the old product and prepped for the color process took special care in the preparation, the actual work, and the cleanup. They were respectful of our landscaping and adjoining paver patio. The gentlemen who did the concrete work were masterful. On a scale of 1-10, we would have given them a 15 at that point. We did have a problem with the color application process. After discussing it with John he devised a method of reworking the topcoat to deliver an acceptable product. With so many positive reviews of John's work on Angie's List, and a visit to one completed application, we believe our problem was an anomaly and we appreciate that Arrowhead Deck Resurfacing stood behind its promise and provided a satisfactory final product. The "B" rating simply reflects that in this case the work took longer than anticipated.

We worked with Fernando and David. They were very professional and willing to work with us with a design and color for our area. They were here on time and were very clean with their work. My husband and I are pleased with the results.

Resurfaced patio and pool deck and it looks amazing!! His crew was very punctual and cleaned up everyday. Absolutely love the end results and will definately use them and recommend them to friends/family for future needs!

John was very professional from the initial meeting through completion of the project. They were prompt, hard working and very communicative. He gave us three prices for three different options and we chose the highest priced option, and we are very glad that we did. We couldn't be happier with the final product and when you spend hard earned money, it feels nice.

John's guys came out to redo our pool deck. We decided to go with a "stone" look and it transformed the back yard completely! Totally recommend for people considering updating their deck ? Also, had them do epoxy in garage and it looks great too!

I met with the owner at my home who went over the entire process - what to expect, the timeline, choices of texture and color, costs of all the choices. He was very professional and also a nice and friendly person. He was spot on with everything we discussed. There was one small glitch in the first day the guys doing the work were to arrive to powerwash - they misread the address and it was late so they were not able to make it - but did show up earlier the following morning to take care of everything. I was called right away to be notified of the glitch, and it was not a problem at all. The guys who showed up were extremely professional, helpful and willing to answer any questions and did not hestitate to make any adjustments I requested. The finished deck is beautiful - I absolutely LOVE IT! I would give this company 5 stars - very high marks all the way around. Our cool-deck is 11 years old and is a series of 12 irregularly shaped separate pods of varying sizes that take up most of an over-sized backyard. The surface had deteriorated in several places to expose large areas of the original concrete. John arrived to provide an estimate and discussed the details of the job thoroughly. He also arranged for us to meet at a nearby location that he had recently completed so we could see an actual job rather than just viewing a photo gallery. The job took five days and was prepped well. It involved excavating rocks from between the pods so that they could get to the entire pod and removing the original surface (two days). Surprisingly, there was very little dust left behind from all of the grinding away. They covered the rim of the pool and you couldn't tell that anything entered the pool itself even though they hauled out approximately 7 large trash bags of the old surface and it all hugs the pool. They applied texturing (two days) to the renovated surface. On Day 5, they applied the stain and two coats of sealer and relocated the rocks back between the pods. We were presented with a board showing about 9 different colors to work with and, instead, I spoke with John about trying to match the color to the flagstone surrounding the pool and fireplace. He said they could match it and to disregard the color board as they would create a custom color set. This was the only area of criticism in that there was miscommunication as we expected to have finished sample boards to choose from to approve and, instead, the sample was created on the spot so we only saw one. To their credit, they hit the mark on the color and not only does it match the flagstone but the texturing jumps out with a blend of colors --- this covers practically the entire yard so its a big deal for this to look good and it does. The crew arrived on time each day and kept the work area neat when they left. John was very easy to work with and the overall experience was top notch and hassle-free. As an update: Once the deck was re-surfaced we realized that the surface was slippery when wet. I contacted John via email and spoke with him later in the day. John had his crew come back the very next morning and put another coat of sealer down with more grit worked into it. This put a 3rd coat of sealer on the deck, did not alter the look at all, and made it much safer to move around barefoot when wet. Not only was this done immediately but at no extra charge. Superb response time and resolution.

All was great. Very professional. We are very pleased we had Arrowhead Deck and Resurfacing redo our pool decking and patio. They always showed up on time to perform the work. They had great ideas and offered suggestions. The crew was very professional,polite, and hard working. They protected the areas that needed to be protected when doing the work, such as house exterior, plants etc. And when the job was completed they cleaned everything up wonderfully. The owner came over to the house before the job and offered suggestions and ideas as to what we might want to do. I would definitely use them again and will refer them to others.

John did a great job and told us the steps and the process it would take.
