Tim Maloney was timely when coming out for the estimate, he explained how they would install, and gave me an estimate. When he showed me the mesh I specifically asked him how it would hold up to dogs, as he was aware that is the reason we were installing the fencing, and he stated that they could run at it full force and not hurt it. He never mentioned to me that they could tear the fencing if they were to get on it. He also had seen that my dogs were larger, 55+ lbs. When they of course tore one section of mesh and I contacted Gina Maloney, she was extremely rude and unprofessional. She insisted that I was told that dogs could tear it and that is far from the case. We had to pay additional dollars to install a new section. Of course the dogs tore it again and instead of contacting Gina again I contacted another pool fencing company to get some idea of what they could do. Also, the comment of running at it full force and not damaging it was false. They bent one of the poles and snapped it at the base. The other company came out and stated that they offered fencing that had a 4 stitch border vs. the 2 stitch border that Pool Guard offered. They also offered 100lb poles that have steel in the bottom of the pole so that they could not bend from the dogs. The poles that were installed by Pool Guard were 40lb poles. When the new pool fencing person took out the fencing, we had always had some sagging in the corner, he showed me that they drilled the holes too large and that the sleeves were not fitting in tightly. He pulled one sleeve out and it had a nail stuck into the side to keep it from moving within the hole that was drilled. I made the decision to refill the holes and drill new holes that would be accurate and we would not have an issue with sagging. The 2nd company explained the situation but also explained to me it was up to us how we wanted to proceed. They did not pressure us into getting a new fence since I am the one that reached out to them for assistance. I did not trust nor want to deal with Gina after my first experience with her. I would not recommend this company to anyone. If you feel you want to get an estimate then I would make sure you get more than one and ask all the right questions. Of course that does not mean that they will be forthcoming. I had a good friend recommend Pool Guard to me, but he also mentioned to me after we had the issue that they never said a word to him that the mesh could tear from the dogs and they also knew that he had two dogs. They are dishonest.

Overall experience very good. Dane I called a few places to come out for a quote. One place just gave me pricing over the phone and wasnt really too interested in actually coming out to quote the job. We really wanted a professional to come out and see the area in question as we had two different options for where the fencing could go. I called and left a message here, and within a few hours Gina called me back and swiftly made an appointment for an onsite quote a few days later. Dane arrived and brought the samples of the most popular colors (sand poles with bronze mesh) and explained the product, how it is installed and removed. We also discussed the two options of where the fencing should be put. We decided to move forward with the fence. We paid half down, the balance would be paid at completion of the job. The installer arrived on time and did his thing. Installation took a few hours as we needed footings installed in the rocks. The only surprise we (I) had about the installation was the pool gate. Note, when Dane brought samples, he did not a sample of the gate. Once it was installed I was kind of dissapointed withe look of it. It has this big tall black thingie (which is the lock) that sticks up. It also has a lip on the bottom where you have to step over it to get through the gate. Now, Dane did explain that to us. But he is right, there is a lip and I am thinking of painting bright red or something so that *I* don't trip over it. Now, I honestly cant tell you that if I had seen a sample of the gate, if that it would have been a deal breaker, but perhaps it wouldn't have been such a shock once I saw it. Now, I do understand that this fence is for safety and beauty, but I suppose I was really hoping for both. After completion, I thought the fence looked this giant isore.... but now a few weeks later, its size does not seem so massive. I guess it has grown on me. I do really like the color combination and am glad we went with it. Overall, like I said, this company was easy to work with, and the product is nice and therefore that is what I am reviewing.

This is the 3rd time we've used Maloney's Pool Guard. I have no hesitation in recommending them. They are punctual, pleasant to deal with and provide a quality product. We've used them in the past (2x) for pool fencing and the product still looked brand new even after 7 years when we moved. This time, we needed a self closing mechanism put in 2 sliding glass doors at our new house. The price was reasonable and we were able to get them installed well before our deadline for final inspection. Both Gina and Tim are very responsive and provide good options and advice for securing a home with a pool.

The whole process went great. Gina was very communicative through the whole process. The guys showed up on time, and it took both of them pretty much all day to finish. The guys were extremely nice and professional, and I think they did a good job. The day after the installation, we noticed that a couple of the fence panels were wrinkling (as Gina informed me, due to the concrete footings settling in the ground). We told Gina about it, she stepped up, and she has set up another appointment for the guys to come to our house so they can take care of that. Overall, great family owned company and I would definitely recommend to anybody looking to put a fence around their pool.

We called the company, and let them know we needed an install ASAP, as we were bringing a new dog into our home, and pool fencing has been long gone, as our kids are grown, and no longer had pets. Within days, Tim, the owner , came out and gave bid. He was prompt, very professional and personable. He listened to our needs, and did not in anyway try to upsell product or services. The installer came a few days later; the work was down well, the product appears well made. All was done within a week. A great company, excellent customer service.

The experience with Pool Guard Of Arizona was average. Everything went fine with the quote that they gave me and the installation itself was not so good. The guy took a couple of days to assemble the gates so I think that it was not as professional as I would have thought. Everything else was good and I have not had any problems. The price was not the best as well.

My husband and I were not excited about putting a fence up through the middle of our yard, so we wanted something that we could eventually remove once our son is older. We got one bid from a company who said they could not put the footings in grass and recommended a steel fence (which happened to be about $3K more). We got another bid for a permanent fence that was significantly more expensive. A friend had used Pool Guard and had good results, so we called for a consultation. Tim came out less than a week after I called. He listened to what we wanted, measured, showed us the fencing samples and gave us a bid all in about an hour. They installed about a week and a half later (due to our feet-dragging) and completed the installation in about 7 hours (we have a large yard). We now have a safe yard for our child -- and it isn't nearly as intrusive as we had feared. We were very happy with the entire process and would eagerly recommend Pool Guard.

Tim was on time with providing the quote. We had asked for a day that was booked and chose another day. They had a cancellation on the day we wanted and remembered and called to see if we wanted to reschedule. The installer was on time and the fence looks great.
