A friend of mine recommended Mike as he recently had his carport enclosed. I called Mike in early December on a Sunday afternoon and he picked answered right away, stating he could be at my place within an hour. An hour later, he stops by and he checks out my carport, gives me an estimate and takes measurements. We agreed on the work, price and gave him $500 to get the permits with the city of Chandler settled. Throughout the process, Mike sent me e-mails and text updates on the status of the permits with full diagrams of all work to get done, all steps, materials, and prices. Normally, working with any sort of government entity takes time. Not with Mike. He showed up to be first in line at the permit office and was able to get the permit pushed through by Thursday. A mere 4 days to get a permit. With permit in hand, he started work on my carport enclosure the same day and worked through the week up until the Holidays and resumed. We paid him 50% upfront of the total price. Even with the Holiday season in full swing, I'd received a text message or e-mail about progress of the work. He thoroughly answered any questions I had and and addressed any concerns I had. He also notified me of any inspection days so I could attend and ask questions of the inspector myself and inspect the quality of his work. All the inspections passed easily with no comments, which is no surprise due to the quality of Mike's work and his experience in doing carport conversions. He has been doing this for a long time, so knows the ins and out of the process. Mike also set us up with a garage door vendor and installer. The entire process was much easier than I expected and the price is hard to beat. The garage is finished, the exterior of the house looks great, and the interior of the garage is perfect for our car and extra storage space. Mike was great; he is very personable and professional. I got several bids and decided to go with Mike because he really knew what he was talking about and his bid was the best by far. Initially, I wanted a door in the side wall of the garage but I changed my mind. With some contractors, that could have been an issue. Not for Mike. He was very accommodating and he wanted me to have what I wanted. He also suggested two coach lights on the exterior and four can lights on the interior. A great suggestion for sure. The conversion was done quickly (as predicted) and with good craftsmanship. ACES was professional and communicated well. A few small finish items have required attention to correct in the last year, but all-in-all it was a great experience.

Purchased a home that had a terribly enclosed carport. After initial demo, Mike came in with suggestions and options that I hadn't thought of before. Within a few days and under estimated time he completed the very work very professionally. Even offer to make an additional repair that made the area look significantly better.
