Very well. They came out a couple of days after my call; they were on time, professional, answered my questions and left a clean install. So far I am very happy with the company and the product and when my water heater goes, as they all do, I fully expect to use them to replace that as well.

They were fast, prompt, straight-forward, extremely well-priced. Couldn't have gone smoother or easier.

They were great, had good service, were always on time, had a good product and the price was right.

My call to American Home Water was answered on the first try and I was visited by Tom for an estimate within 2 hours of my call. Tom was very pleasant and professional and definitely knows his business. This is my 5th house and 5th water system, so I have been through the high pressure sales pitches and was so glad I did not have to endure that process again. The crew arrived to do the job the same afternoon! Can you believe that? The crew was very professional as well, and took their time to make sure that the job was done right. My water is great and everything is operating as promised. I would highly recommend Tom and his team especially over the strong armed pitch that you will get from some of the brand name companies that are out there. Thanks again Tom for a great experience!

The installation went well. I called and Tom explained the whole process to me as well as quoted me pricing for the various choices within the systems. I went with the President because of the 10 year FULL warranty. I was pleased that they could make it out the very next day once I gave him the go-ahead (checked out another vendor as well to compare). AHW's pricing was a few hundred dollars cheaper and the RO system was better as it has 3 filters instead of the 2 the other vendor quoted me pricing on. The whole process went smoothly and the price quote was dead on and they honored the 5% Anglies List discount. The only concern that I have is the water pressure issue. We found out after the fact that we have high water pressure and that it would cost approx. $200 to install a water pressure valve to make sure it doesn't make extra wear and tear on both systems. Would've liked to have known that this was a factor beforehand. Also, today (2 days later) my water heater is leaking, but Tom assured me that it has nothing to do with the water softener (they're no where near each other) and he gave me advice on how to stop the leaking until they can come out in the morning. He gave me a quote of $500 to replace it and if it's a matter of fixing will only charge a service call. I also have a problem with my icecube maker pouring out water instead of making icecubes. They added a line from the RO system to the fridge so I asked if that had something to do with it. He's not sure but is sending someone out tomorrow to make sure (handling the waterheater, the water pressure valve, and the fridge issue all on the same call tomorrow.) I'll write another report under the water heater section to let you know how it all pans out.

They have a great attitude and were very quick and competitive with their price ($400 less than Spencers for the same unit). Fast, excellent service and great quality. I will definately recommend them to friends and family.

I called American Home Water on Wednesday evening and they made an appointment to come out and give me an estimate the next morning. Tom called before he came and showed up promptly. We talked briefly about what I wanted to accomplish by installing new equipment. I really felt that he was very honest in talking to me and laying out my options. He did not have a pre-packaged sales pitch and didn't try to steer me towards the most expensive stuff. I chose the President softener because I believe the controller on the canister will keep me from having to go get salt as often (the task I hate most). They were able to install everything that same afternoon. The guys who did the work were very polite and just went about their business. Tom supervised the installation to make sure everything was perfect. Afterwards, he explained to me how everything works. After researching water systems for a while, I'm really happy about the products I bought and the price I paid. I also couldn't be happier with American Home Water's service and professionalism.

Arrived promptly. Original brine container would have stuck out in the garage, so they made a separate trip back to install a more narrow brine container. Worked with me to install refrigerator and sprinkler connection so processed water, with sodium ions, would not go to the refrigerator or outdoor plants. Good workmanship.

We called on 6/29/11 to ask about the price of a new Reverse Osmosis system. We felt the price was fair and they scheduled an appointment for 6/30/11. Our installer was Dan and he completed the installation in under an hour. We were very impressed with the professionalism of both the installer and company.

Great experience. Professional, prompt, fairly priced and just nice people to deal with. Update 6/2012 - AHW came out again to do an annual filter service for us. As usual, on time, friendly, professional and the final price was what they quoted prior to arrival. Nobody does it better.

I did A LOT of homework/research to find a good water softening solution for our new house. I really wanted to find out which no-salt systems worked/worked best. After several weeks of looking, I had definitely eliminated the magnetic or electric water "conditioners", but was still debating the citrus and "nano-particle" systems. Despite all of the promises of improving your water and reducing calcium deposits, not a single alternative solution EVER promised to reduce the hardness of the water or could show any clinical results. I even agreed to a cold-call visit from one of those hard-sell guys that hawk the house sales lists. I used this as just another data point, but seriously folks, these high-pressure guys are the worst kind of salesmen out there. He insisted on running through his whole script on how important soft water was even though I told him time & again that I had already self-educated on that. I think it's part of the beating down process. I was somewhat interested in his high-end offering. "Only" $5600 for both softener & RO. Great. Ah, but it comes with "$5000" worth of cleaning products IF you buy on the spot, so it's practically free, right? I never "buy on the spot," so suddenly the price became negotiable as I moved him toward the door and let him know I'd be looking at other quotes despite him lowering the price by a couple thousand dollars (amazing!). The salesman was SO confident of his product's superior value that he never once called me back to see if I was interested (hmmm, what does THAT tell you?). Don't fall for high-pressure sales pitches, folks -- "on the spot" deals are only offered because they can't afford for you to check out anyone else's offers/information. Finally I got smart & checked Angie's List. After checking out a few folks, I checked out the American Home Water reviews and their own website. Great reviews and their website was extremely straightforward/honest. The "tone" of the site really reminded me of my Dad & the 35 years that he has provided an honest business. This is a quality small business with simple, quality products. Tom didn't try to push anything on me, but I did upgrade to their higher model (The President), mainly because I like the efficiency of the upflow-brining. You won't find their softeners at Home Depot or anywhere. They apparently custom order the high quality parts they need direct from the factory & build their own systems. They estimate their systems will last 20-30 years. That's TBD, of course, but I can see getting close. They definitely seem to be much better built than anything I've seen at Lowes/Home Depot. Because our house was already pre-plumbed with the by-pass loop, drain & power outlet it was a little cheaper & easier than if they had to take care of that themselves. They sent two guys to set it up & in about 1.5 hours both the softener & RO system were fully installed. It's been 1.5 months since installation with a full month of usage (family of 4). No problems at all. Still have plenty of salt in the tank from the original two bags they put in, so it obviously hasn't had to regenerate itself too much (wasting water in the process). Very happy & highly recommend. Oh, my parents had to replace their broken water softener a couple months before I went through this. They opted for the no-salt citrus option (H2O-something). After a few months now they've realized it isn't doing much for them & they're looking for a replacement. Fortunately their plumber gave them some kind of replacement guarantee, but unfortunately I doubt that they'll be able to get AHW-equipment, so they'd probably end up with a cheapo water softener instead.

Tom was very knowledgeable and was a low pressure salesman. His partner(also Tom) led the installation crew. Their price was good for a system with a 10yr warranty. The system appears to be working great-the soft water feels dramatically different. The reverse osmosis system is also wonderful- the water tastes as good as the Arrowhead water I had been getting and will pay for itself in a couple of years. I would definitely use them again.

A three man team arrived on the date and time agreed to. They did a quick turn about due to having the wrong size water heater, but were back soon. The heater was installed quickly and with workmanlike quality (copper lines look just OK) and hot water service restored within a few hours. The old heater was hauled away. Honored 5% Angie's list discount. I was told at time of settlement that the price quote given over phone was for cash or check, and I couldn't use a credit card to pay.

Excellent experience. We got a high end - refurbished President water softener, a new R/O system, a new conection from R/O to the refrigerator, and a "Big Blue" whole house chlorine filter. For $1300 less than another Angies List provider was going to charge us. And they hauled away the old stuff for free. And they did the inital estimate for free. Other provider charged $70 just to show up and estimate. Needless to say we are very pleased and the water is fabulous.

We got an estimate from another company that was almost three times the cost, and the sales presentation was also much longer! I called American Home Water, and they came out the next day, gave me an estimate in 10 minutes, and came out the following day to install. They explained everything, said they would come out if I had any additional questions, and moved/cleaned up everything necessary. Everything was installed within an hour and a half.

They came out to my house on a Friday - I had to leave the day open because they didn't give me a time, but they called 30 minutes before coming, which was fine for me. The employee doing the estimate took his time talking to me about placement of softner, and then how they would going about placing everything, including plumbing / new pipe. He was very professional and easy to talk to. I called him back a couple of hours later to ask a few more questions, and he was fine with that, and answered all of my questions thoroughly. Seemed very honest. There estimate was in line with the other 2 companies I got quotes from. I did not use them, but I thought long & hard about it, I'm sure they'd do a fine job.

I called Friday afternoon, and call was returned promptly, with appointment for the next morning. Called us ahead, arrived on schedule, analyzed situation and gave us the pros and cons of various alternatives. We made our choice, and the water softening system was scheduled for installation a few hours later. Arrived on time, quick and efficient installation, cleaned up, ran thru the little we would have to do in terms of maintenance/operation. They even installed, unasked, a faucet by the unit so softened water could be run thru a hose for car washing, etc. Very pleased with this experience- a big difference from what we've encountered trying to deal with other areas of renovation.

We built a new Toll Brothers home and had AHW install the softener and RO at a much better price than the builder charged to supply. I have used AHW for a few years at my former Scottsdale home for RO service, repair, and replacement, and found them to be far better in every respect to my former service people. These guys are real pros and an excellent source of advice and counsel on anything having to do with any home water or hot water device.

Responsive and professional. They quickly installed the water softener and even went over and above with new water valves in the front of the house. They did the whole thing -- loop and all -- after surveying my garage to see how best to go at it. I am glad I called them and highly recommend their services.

I called for an estimate that morning and spoke to one of the co-owners. He said he would come out and look at my house and give me a written estimate. The estimate was agreeable and he had a crew there that afternoon. Was especially impressed by the fact that one of the owners was on site for the entrie installation, but he did all the RO work himself. They explained the system to me and answered all questions. All in all, I was very pleased, and would recommend the company to others.

Good experience overall. I did a lot of research on price and services on Angie's List and other sites to see what i needed and what prices were most reasonable. I ended up spending more than i originally intended to, but i have got a top-notch system in its place with effectively, a whole house system. the Carbon filter decreases chlorine content in the water, the Water Softener does what it does, and the RO system gives us high quality drinking water. They gave me the 5% off on everything, and even helped me save $70 on cutting a hole in the granite slab, by suggesting a simpler alternative. The quality of the work is very professional. I get excited by technology and luckily for me, Tom seemed to as well, so he answered all my questions in great detail. The refurbished system is as good as a brand new one, except for the housing being used previously (and that's probably the most sturdy part of the system in any case), and they provide a 10 year warranty (labor and parts) that is unmatched in the big brand retailers' systems. They promise to notify me when my filters need to be changed, too, which will be helpful. All in all, a great experience and a great investment for good quality water. I'd recommend them to everyone.
